Droid Escape - Finally a remake of this set! :cry_happy: I've always loved the original of this set and always wanted it. Now that it's expanded a little bit is great stuff. I'm definitely getting this set and what would put the icing on the cake is if C3PO and R2 had dirt and grime printing from Tatooine. That would look incredible.

That would be nice! We keep getting C-3PO and R2-D2 in various sets, so a variant would be great.

The Geonosian Cannon is still confusing. I don't think Gree would be included in a small set, so it's probably not this cannon that we saw in Attack of the Clones.

That would be Haiku

I know, it was a pun default_blink.gif

EDIT: Oh, and I think I owe Mirandir an apology for thinking his lists were fake at one point. Not that it's totally confirmed, but they're evidently not that ridiculous after all.

It seems to me people are forgetting that these are still unconfirmed. Just because two guys say the same thing doesn't make it true. The titles are the thigns that throw me off the most. 'Droid Escape'? 'Geonosian Cannon'? Neither sets sound appealing or imaginative.

:classic: Big +1 for printing on the droids. That would be going the extra mile on TLG's part.

Like I said in the post you just quoted, "Not that it's totally confirmed, but they're evidently not that ridiculous after all." Most likely these reports come from separate sources, unless Mirandir is JediNews' source, in which case he's been right for three previous years, or JediNews in Mirandir's source, in which case he either works for JediNews which has been right for three previous years or can see the future. Hello Chaps,

2012 will be great for Original Trilogy fans, new X-Wing Fighter will be great (I like 6212) a new rebel pilot Jek Porkins will be great but an update for Biggs Darklighter will be amazing, anyway glad to see a new character.

New Y-Wing for me is great because I missed the old one but why Gold Leader minifigure, already we have one, Tiree (Gold Two) or Davish Krail (Gold Five) are perfect for this set.

Hope the Rebel Commandos have the same uniform that the old ones (Battle of Endor Set), Lego needs to include the old man that used a Biker Scout uniform.

The picture that Delta 38 posted is the only geonosian cannon that is seen in episode 2 and the geonosian CW episodes but it is kind of small unless it is really an republic cannon for 30$ and the CW battle pack really comes with the geonosian cannon, but it is more likly that it is the other way around, I don't know only time can tell

Is the episode 1 set still a rumor?

Well, I'm pretty happy about the sets. Droid Escape sounds good since I don't yet have 3PO. I'm more of a CW collector, so I may pass on the X and Y wings(I'll wait for pics). The Geo. Cannon sounds interesting, it'll go well with the star fighter we got this year. Next needs to be Geo. Arena.

zlego, do you not know what a period is, or how to use it? ..........

Posted (edited)

I must say legocrazy81 I do know what a period is and I know how to use it and you're comment seems alittle harsh when I have already said I'm sorry if my spelling or grammar is not great

I really hope we get a episode 1 set this wave(A Flash speeder would really be nice) but there's always next wave and there's a good chance of getting a Naboo royal starship(with the Qween fig),anew AAT(a possible commander droid) or even more podracers

I've seen RotJ so many times and never noticed that guy! He even put on a Scout trooper uniform, hilarious.

As you can see, we aren't getting an Episode 1 set this wave, and the Queen Amidala minifig in an Episode 1 set has been confirmed for the summer wave a while back.

And as far as grammar goes, you don't have to apologize- just try and fix it :classic:

Sorry doesn't really work around here...you have to actively try and fix grammar issues rather than get offended. Don't want the mods jumping on you, bad grammar is a dead giveaway for an underage user.

If you know how to use it, stop arguing and use it. Site Guidelines state that you are to use correct grammar and spelling as best you can. Knowing how to use a period and deciding not to use it anyways is not inability, just laziness.

Anyways, back on topic, guys.

I think that the new idea of collectobles will fall on it's face through. This may not be fact but if the collectobles are $10 each who will pay that. it would be Over priced. plus the idea that kids will want them. If i were a parent i would not spend that much on that little, i mean major rip off if there any more then ten dollars.

According to BL he's been done as a minifig before, even though his name wasn't listed on the box.

I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion before... when we were discussing how Dak Ralter's minifigure could double as a generic Rebel pilot. What I meant was, I'm glad The LEGO Group, after giving us such obscure characters as Ten Nunb and IG-88, have decided to learn the name of a (relatively) prominent figure in the history of the Alliance.

Though FallenAngel, I doubt this is going to be the X-Wing to end all X-Wings. Sure it will be better than the previous one, but it will never be as well designed as the MOCs you rank so highly. I'm guessing we will see disappointment from you when we get the initial pictures.

You're probably right. But if we see as drastic a change in this X-wing as we saw from 8038 (as compared to 7657) I promise that I will not be so vehement.

I've seen RotJ so many times and never noticed that guy! He even put on a Scout trooper uniform, hilarious.

I wonder how many action figures he sold.

Though one should keep in mind that here on Eurobricks we have many underage members whose spelling and grammar are more than acceptable.

You've certainly got a point there... though at this point I'm genuinely beginning to question how much people really would pay for a minifigure. And these sets will include display options, so who knows - we may get our money's worth.

The Ninjago Spinner are $10 each and Lego have no problems selling them, even though they only contain 1 minifig, 3 weapons and a spinner. While in Star Wars you get 1 detailed planet (I hope), a mini vehicle and a popular Star Wars character.

But the fact that these are licensed sets make them cost more :sceptic: . While the Ninjago Spinners could be sold at a relatively small price these new concept sets should be worthwhile to get our money back. Aside from the Y-wing and X-wing, these new sets are what I am most excited about as I don't collect as much as I did some years ago (Dark Ages :cry_sad: ) so small sets are highly welcomed as impulse purchases. If these end up being collectable I might buy them all and display them in my desk or something  .

Great news, other SW sites are suggesting the same sets.

It would be great if the General Gree is an E3 make based on the CW season 4.

The commando droids sounds great, they are a bit of a favourite of mine.

Anyway look forward to pictures

The UCS Executor is out September 1st. Unless you're expecting another one this year...?

yep it is but i will not be buying it. seen it in person and it's crap.

So now My view of the sets

9489 Endor Battle Pack

This is a yes from Me as I have relatively few Imperial, and Rebel troops so some multiples of this set are in order.

9488 Clone Wars Battle Pack

This is a yes from me due to the Commando Droids, and the ARF trooper.

9490 Droid Escape

No. Sandtroopers would be nice but I don't want a escape pod or the two droids.

9491 Geonosian Cannon

This sounds a small and boring set. I might BL Gree though.

9492 TIE Fighter

This is a definite yes. The ship is a keeper, and the figs are a yes  .

9493 X-Wing

No. I don't like the X-wing as a ship. My interest is Republic, and Empire so this will only be bought if I have any spare money.

9494 Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor

No. I'm board of the JSF's, I will BL Obi, and Ani, but not get this set.

9495 Y-Wing Gold Leader

No. Same reason as the X-wing.

9674 Naboo Starfighter

Will this be a midi set on a stand with a fig, if it is then this is a no fo me.

9675 Sebulba’s Podracer

See above.

9676 TIE Interceptor

See above.

3866 Battle of Hoth LEGO Game

What is this set supposed to be?

Posted

I wonder if, with the release of the Hoth game, we will get an easily available and reasonably priced 16 x 16 white plate?

Ninjago spinners : 10$ , a spinner three, accessories and a ninja.

Planets : 10$, a Starwars minifig, a mini vehicle and a planet.

At this moment, it seems that the planets have more value than the ninjago spinners. And somehow the spinners manage to sell like uber pancakes. Even here.

I think the planets are a great idea, although the initial selection is a little underwhelming. The TIE interceptor with pilot is great. But then the naboo pilot is just so-so. And finally, Sebulba, I am not sure they are iconnic enough.

Imagine something like Snowtrooper and AT-AT that would be just kickass. Hopefully, TLG will try the planets idea for more than a wave.
