Fallenangel Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 We don't know what it'll look like, but after the Harry Potter game with licensed microfigs, I'm hoping we get micro Star Wars figs in this one. So seeing as there aren't any LEGO Games under the Star Wars theme, I had no knowledge of it. Looking at these, it appears all we can guess is that it will include a LEGO die and microfigures... Raider Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 i doubt that Lego will not release a SW game Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Looking at these, it appears all we can guess is that it will include a LEGO die and microfigures... The only other thing I can think of is that they could be doing something involving some micro vehicles that are in a much, much smaller scale than microfigures. i doubt that Lego will not release a SW game So you think they will? Or... Normally I'd assume a member had purposely added a double negative into that sentence and meant what they said, however confusing such a statement would be, but judging by your posting style I can't be sure. In either case, some reasons to back up your statement would probably be a good idea. Quote
Alfa Animations Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) personally I think that 2012 is lego Killing KRE-O, I mean, no way would I spend my money on a lame transformer model when I could spend the same money on a Batman set, or star wars... What? "Lego filling KRE-O" oops, Killing Personally I think it isn't really fair to compare a Kre-O to a Batman or Star Wars LEGO set. They're not even the same theme. Transformers fans who don't have skill in LEGO MOCing will undoubtedly go for the Kre-Os, and it's not like Transformers is a smaller theme. (I remember I once was told Transformers fans have specialized events and websites to rival those of LEGO fans) And this is off-topic. Stay on target! mm maybe 'mm maybe' what? So to get back on topic, I was wondering what everyone else thought the game mechanics of the Hoth game would be, especially with such a vehicle-centered battle. Despite the fact that I want microfigs, the more I think about it, the more it seems to make more sense for the game to use MINI-scale vehicles. Edited August 8, 2011 by Brickdoctor Quote

Lord Of The Fries Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 but the rumored 2012 UCS sets are a B-wing and an A-wing. That makes sense because of the X-Wing and Y-wing coming out next year (maybe). Quote
Fallenangel Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) 'mm maybe' what? Raider is an underage member with poor posting habits, so Staff should take care of him soon. Despite the fact that I want microfigs, the more I think about it, the more it seems to make more sense for the game to use MINI-scale vehicles. Looking at the LEGO games, most of them seem to be traveling board game-esque sets (a board game in which pieces travel to reach a certain goal). Maybe something like Han and Leia microfigures trying to beat Vader and some snowtroopers to a MINI Falcon, or MINI AT-ATs heading towards the shield generator. GR-75s evading Star Destroyers, Zev in a MINI T-47 looking for Luke... the possibilities are endless. In any case, that LEGO die should prove useful. It's like the ultimate SNOT brick. EDIT: That's interesting - the new Droid Escape and the Clone Battlepack have piece counts for the sets listed while the others do not. 98 pieces? Sounds like one tiny AV-7. Droid Escape, on the other hand, has about three times the piece count of 7106. Edited August 8, 2011 by fallenangel309 Quote

Jedi master Brick Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 All this stuff aboutnthe new battle pack style being great I have to disagree with. In the clone wars first episode it say dthe droids out number clones 100-1. At the moment it will be 1-1 which I find silly Quote

Jedi master Brick Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 It is 1-1 now if they make one for each. Well 1 battle droid fighting 1 clone is silly, the clone is going to win. Also when we also get an army of 100 Jedi it just gets silly Quote
giggitygoo Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 wait so are there pictures, and if so where can I view them? Quote

We can't view them Mirander just has an inside source maybe they could consider making a pack with 4 normal clones and at least 10 droids. or maybe just 2 clones and 10 droids. no battle packs need something else not just minifigures and they need to be cheap Quote
AngryChair Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 maybe they could consider making a pack with 4 normal clones and at least 10 droids. or maybe just 2 clones and 10 droids. You have to remember that these are aimed at kids and not collectors. I can understand their new 2 against 2 logic and I think it's OK given what the price will be. If you want more buy multiple sets. I like the ideas of some of the new sets and overall I think it's a good crop. Well happy with the amount of OT stuff. I didn't buy a Y-Wing so will probably get that. I'm intrigued that it includes a Ceremonial Leia though as she didn't wear the outfit during the Yavin battle. Quote
Mr Man Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Everything, besides the pics we have, are completely and totally unconfirmed. It seems people keep forgetting this. Originally it's possible, however two sources are in agreement, and KimT has added these 'rumors' to the front page, so they are almost 100% credible to me now. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Two sources which may either be the same person or that person's friend. It's highly probable JediNews has the same source that they've been using since '09 - and they've been right ever since. Quote

brickbuilder Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I realise that, but these rumors are just so unrealistic that I can't even begin to belive them untill we have firm proof. They are not unrealistic. KimT wouldn't have added them to the first post unless they were confirmed by his bothan spys. And, Jedi News and Mirandir agree, and Jedi News is right every year. And, Jedi News has the same info as KimT. So I think it's safe to say these are confirmed, unless TLG makes any changes to the line-up. Quote
