Aanchir Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I agree with you, even though I could use a few non-TV-show-clones. It will be 4 years since Lego came out with the last LAAT and AT-TE, so don't be surprised if we get another batch of those. I wish we could've got a non-Clone-Wars Geonosian Starfighter, too. I would really like a new and bigger tusken raider set, with Shimi, Anakin, a few tuskens, and some tents. It's been a while since we got that set in stores. As far as non-TV-show-clones are concerned, I personally hope that they'll transition towards using the CW helmet even for sets depicting clones from the actual episodes. Ideally, they'd introduce a less-stylized face print for these, but frankly I feel that the old clone helmet with its hollow eyes is terribly out-of-date. Stormtroopers and Mandalorians no longer have "eye holes", and I don't think the clones should either-- especially as it ups the probability of having a non-CW clone head piece, which could also be used for Jango Fett himself. I don't see what the problem with the latest Geonosian Starfighter is. Besides the figs, nothing in it stands out as a CW set-- and even the Geonosian fig isn't all that stylized compared to other alien minifigures these days. Of course, it's still more stylized than I personally prefer, since I'd like it if Star Wars alien heads would start using black eyes with white sparkles like human fig heads do. The realistic eyes on figs like Watto give me a terrible sense of uncanny valley, even if they're preferable to the blank, soulless eyes of the non-printed classic figures. Another Tusken Raider set would be great. So far, the 2002 AotC set is the only set to have any Tusken Raiders, which is a real shame considering the role they play in ANH. In fact, it's also the only set to contain a moisture vaporator if I remember correctly. One of these days I'd like a proper ANH set with a domed-roof Tatooine homestead, a moisture vaporator, and minifigures of Owen and Beru Lars (though an Owen fig did come in the sandcrawler set). But AotC could include at least some of these contents just as well. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I hope that if LEGO does do AotC sets, it won't focus on anything that has to do with the clones in action at the end of the film... I agree. Plus with that Besalisk Jedi supposedly appearing in CW S4, a Dexter minifig might be a realistic possibility. For gods sake Lego give us a droid control ship, could throw in scores of battle droids to liven things up and call it either a PM or AOTC set I've said it before, I'll say it again: While I don't completely rule out the possibility, such a vehicle would be quite difficult to build within TLG's strength requirements for a set. Long, curved arms and a huge ball attached to them are ingredients fro instability. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Though 'brickdoctor' Alien Conquest have a large circular space craft so the basic frame work for a droid control ship would not be that impossible ! Hard, yes.....mid-scale it would have to be....and with a removable sphere. Quote
brickbuilder Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 (edited) I agree. Plus with that Besalisk Jedi supposedly appearing in CW S4, a Dexter minifig might be a realistic possibility. I dunno. To be a jedi, that guy must be pretty fit, and with Dexter being as fat as he is, they would probably have to be two different molds. I still think TLG will focus on the end battle, with mabye one set other than that. I have to admit, other than the Geonosis scene, AOTC was fairly boring. Also, another set could be an SPHA-T. They were just as prominent as the AT-TEs in the battle of Geonosis, and we still haven't seen a set of one. Edited July 27, 2011 by brickbuilder Quote

The_Chosen_1 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Attack of the Clones must-have sets: -Something from Coruscant (either a new chase scene, Dex's Diner, or the Outlander Club) -New Tatooine set (throw a hat on the new Watto minifig and dirty him up a bit: *voila!* new minifig) -Something from Kamino Quote
StoutFiles Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Ah, but as Yoda said 'size matters not' ! Well, conditioning is important. That's why Luke works on his cardio on Dagobah. As now established by the PT, if fighting someone with equal Force skill, then size does matter. The PT disgraced many good OT lines. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Slightly off-topic, what about AOTC.....Yoda battling Dooku ? On-topic now, what small vehichle would be included in a Endor Rebel BP....we know we'll get another speeder bike for the Imperial BP....don't we always ? Quote
TeufelHund Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I would consider buying a decent Geonosian Arena set... Quote

Good question. The speeder is an obvious one, with possibly a small command center similar to the snowtrooper bp, just to take up space. For the rebels, I dunno. We could get a non-canon vehicle, but that would suck. Quote

LEGOMAN132 Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I would consider buying a decent Geonosian Arena set... Ditto it could have all the great creatures and a few jedi and jango. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Okay lets try..... Endor Forest Ranger That is the smallest Rebel vehicle I can find connected with the Battle Of Endor story. Quote
wokajablocka Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Can we please stay on target and discuss the pictures and rumors and not just adding to the post about what you hoping for in the 2012 lineup. Too much crap to read through. If its a legitimate rumor lets hear it but dont speculate. Quote
Lord Of The Fries Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 On-topic now, what small vehichle would be included in a Endor Rebel BP. Well my guess is a small tree (like the one in 4865 Forbidden Forest) with a mini catapult attached to it. Quote

Well if you put one rebel soldier and a few ewoks in a BP you could have an ewok catapult or something like that. Quote
has a differing opinion Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 (edited) Remember guys, the battle packs, when first introduced, were not supposed to interfere with Hasbro's battle packs, so they made the lego battlepacks freelance vehicles. So it's probably the brown "Flying block" of the hoth battle packs. Edited July 28, 2011 by has a differing opinion Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Tie fighter is amazing love the wings, Queen Armidala looks like a nice minifigure. I neeed some more TIEs. As I have said before I expect from the rebel bp: Ewok, Rebel Commando(2)and a Rebel piolt. From the imperial bp: Imperial officer, Stormtrooper (2) and scout trooper with a speeder bike. This is a guess but it is a sensible one I think. Its nice to know we're getting some OT sets next year Quote
Commander Keller Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 (edited) Ugggh now there will be so many ewoks....I guess it's ok. I am sure someone will whip up a cool endor scene with like 40 of the little guys. I am really hoping for a stormtrooper leg print. That's if there is a stormtrooper battle pack, of course. Anyone think its a possibility? Edited July 28, 2011 by Commander Keller Quote

I doubt that, unless the whole storm trooper was redone, which won't really work. They just wouldn't fit in with any of the other stormies. Quote
simonjedi Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I didn't see this mentioned but here's a sneak peak of the interior of the DK Lego Star Wars Character encyclopedia. http://www.starwars.com/vault/books/lego_star_wars_character_encyclopedia/index.html Quote
Ackbar Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 (edited) That TIE fighter looks great! To me it seems like the cockpit isn't attached properly in the photos (you can see it clearly in the photo with the big white Amidala), and that might be why it looks so odd. Can't wait to see more pics of that one. The new figs looks like must-haves as well. And thanks for the notice simonjedi! The character encyclopedia looks very interesting. If they cover every minifig on a whole page like in the preview it's very promising! Edited July 28, 2011 by Ackbar Quote
