Jipay Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Uhoh ! Back to classic space pieces ! Look at all those "old" engine molds ! Nice find hobbes, Fped Quote
natelite Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Wow...we asked for hands and we got them. So I guess it's confirmed! The mfs we saw were the 2007s. The new mechs are better than the 2006s. I especially like the iron condor. Two thumbs up! What I find silly about the new line though are the shooting mechanism and the twirling shield/melee weapons. I'll probably have to remove the shooter from the sky guardian & iron condor and moc my own weapons. Wow...we asked for hands and we got them. So I guess it's confirmed! Wicked, I really like them! - Looks stylish as heck CONS : - The twisty belly like on White Lightning. I dont really like that...oh well only minor. - They are not out yet! *n* :'-) Quote
ReZourceman Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Also looks like they are going more down the Manga theme, with a Samurai / Ninja stlye. Quote
natelite Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 i noticed something funny. all the robots are devastators. no more iron drones. and you notice something else too? the mechs have license plate. lol...wtf for? it's not like they need to register their vehicles... lol. Quote

I hope the Robots have some distinction or are (half) see-through. Quote
SuvieD Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Who needs more iron drones? Pick up any of the bigger sets that just came out and you will have plenty! I like the small ones with the bionicle parts. I hope if they use those on the larger models infuture that they double up in place though as they can seem so skimpy. Or maybe design some with the purpose in mind of adding system parts to the outside. I am still waitng for a female character and some crewmen not driving mecha. Quote
natelite Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 well, we don't see hayato anymore so he may be replaced by someone else. :-P will have to wait for the first play set of 2007 to see what changed. by that i mean the non-single-vehicular set. :-D another thing i noticed. ryo's mech kanji is still tiger. the same as uplink. the mechs numbers start from 10. this is odd....i thought it would make sense to have L2.01, AT2.01, A2.01 instead of L.10, AT.10, A.10. now those moc'ers will need to change the number series for their creations. :-P Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Those dark blue panels on the Exo-Force set are awesome. In fact, every one of these sets are pretty good parts sources. I'm pleased with the AquaRaiders... definitely good, compared to what they might've been. Ok now... are we DONE with what the non-disclosure fans saw at Brickfest, or is there more still? :-D Ew, I just noticed that same Exo-Force set is shooting a green Zamor sphere from Bionicle. Quote
xenologer Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 They all look Amazing! -Hobbes, can you do a favor and edit your post to put the names and prices alongside the pictures? Thanks... I wonder how much that 'claw crusher?' is .. looks like a mini thunder fury... Quote
JoeMI6 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Woah. These look even better than the first wave. It seems like the line that got me back into lego is going to make sure I never leave :-P. Quote

Lord Thrawn Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Strike 2 for Exo-Force. I think all I need to say is that Hikaru and Ryo win. Quote
Hobbes Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 -Hobbes, can you do a favor and edit your post to put the names and prices alongside the pictures?Thanks... Done :-) They got deleted? :'-( It seems natelite linked to the pics of my initial post. Yes, those I deleted cos they were attachments and I couldn't put the prices next to them. Quote
natelite Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Strike 2 for Exo-Force. I think all I need to say is that Hikaru and Ryo win. strike? strike means failure...right? is that what you were trying to say? i thought it was an improvement over season 1 and i loved season 1 baring a few bad sets. Quote
Hinckley Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I LOVE *wub* these new sets! Anyone notice that Shadow Crawler has a human skeleton in it's "spider belly". *sweet* sweet! I love that the LEGO designers have allowed their themes to get a little dark... Quote
xenologer Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Whoa, I didnt notice that Skeleton at first, neat, all it needs is a big hairpiece... That might very well become the first skeleton minifig I ever own. Hey, Notice on the small sets - Cyclone and Claw, the knees don't seem to bend? they're just technic angle connectors. I hope they fix that in the final production run... Ought to use the click-hinge knees like in the original small mechs. Quote

Ought to use the click-hinge knees like in the original small mechs. I think for smaller mechs, the bionicle joints will work better (they don't need to support the same kind of weight) And your first skeleton? You've been missing out, it'll get you hooked *skull* Quote
KimT Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 In this new wave of Exo-Force sets to come I don't see any expensive sets. More like the initial launch of Exo-Force 7700-7703 and 7708 and 7711... Maybe there'll be a second wave again featuring bigger sets like the sentai fortress just this time it's the Robot HQ *wub* *wub* I am so getting all these sets *y* KimT Quote
Zarkan Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Awesome! The new mechs are very origanal, have cool colors and designs, and we even get a new quadraped! 8- Quote
KMOI Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 WOW! 2007 looks like a bright year indeed! Aqua Raiders looks like a very interesting combination of the creator sets and minifigs. The crab is absolutely awe-inspiring. While I'm not entirely tempted by the larger sets, you can count me in for the small one! As for Exo-force, let me just say WOW. I'm absolutely blown away by the robot's mechs! I'm definately going to pick up the winged one for sure! That thing is too awesome to pass up on! As for the human mechas, I'm really impressed by the two larger mechs, but I'm really let down by the smaller one. Oh well! I'm going to get Hikaru's and combine it with the Stealth Hunter. :D Say, anyone else notice that the fights are now in the center of the human "city"? Maybe the robots do end up breaking past the human gates in the upcoming comics. Quote
hewkii9 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I'll be getting Cyclone Defender, but just for parts. Like the ninja blades and the purple hair. It does look nice, though. The bigger ones look rather weak and skimpy, unlike the first year. Quote

Maybe TLC finally took my advice and realized that a war on a mountain with no discernable land or apparent resources of value(to be fighting over) just didnt make sense... :)lol Quote
Zane Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Apparently, one of next years bigger E-F sets is one of the most fun and original sets in recent years....according to GregF....I don't have the exact words, but it was positive. Quote
