Hi,

this is my first MOC, I'm building it from july 2010 and it's not yet finished (there will be a village in front of the castle).

I played only a little with Lego when I was a child, but one years ago I accidentally discovered the amazing creations achievable with Lego and I've nerver stopped to buy lego and to look everywhere on the web where I could find interesting ideas to build my medieval landscape.

Well this is a fantastic effort for a first MOC, I wish my first ones were this good as well as large The water looks lovely, the greenery on the castle walls gives an authentic look, the rock faces look great as does the small village island. How many pieces does it break down too for transport? Looks like only 2.

I saw all the impressive moc castle in the web and with my stubbornness I said to myself: "I want to build something like that too!". I took some measurement of a room and I decided the extent of the moc and than I began to project it.

Of course this is the result of many attempt and many changes at the early buildings, here some photos of the old attempt My Mocpages.

How many pieces does it break down too for transport? Looks like only 2.

The transportation is the big problem of the moc but we succeeded in displaying it at two recent ITLUG event.

There are 8 pieces: the waterfall, the lake, the castle can be split in three big pieces (not counting the upper part of the towers which are removable like in the photos on brickshelf), than three pieces for the islands (two for the right one and one for the left).

If you're interested I can make a photo of the separated pieces.

I really like looking at that waterfall! But the entire castle is incredible for sure, especially the landscaping.

Wow,that is one awesome castle scene. The landscape is cool and that waterfall is the highlight to me. I can't wait to see the added village!

WOW, this is absolutely amazing. I really like the arches in the towers, the waterfall, the sheep, the rabbits and so many other little details.

Yesterday I've uploaded some more photos.

It's a different setting in front of the castle displayed at a Lug event in july, and there are some changes at the rear of the castle to show the inner rooms.

Yes, they are in this castle, the throne room and some other weren't finished in the june esposition but now they are. There are some other room not yet completed.

It's always nice to see a castle with a proper interior. It really gives the structure a sense of purpose that you don't see in many MOCs. A number of small details in the landscaping also stand out such as the fish jumping or the prince and princess in the rowboat. The extensive use of trans-blue and trans-clear cheese slopes to make ripples in the water works particularly well.

Great work! I hope we'll be seeing more MOCs like this in the future.

Excellent MOC! There's a few clever building techniques in there, but I like the overall atmosphere the most.

Yes, it's really the first MOC. But before and during building (and even now) I was looking every castle/medieval MOC and advices ever posted in the web, trying to reverse engineering the technique I was seeing.

So this MOC is thanks to all previous Lego builder who shared their creations.

Simply amazing. I love details. Can't wait to see Your second and third and so... MOCs :D
