Hey, I didn't know wether to write this here or in the specials theme and decided to do it here. I have a Fabuland postman dog and wonder if there is any safe way of removing its hat without braking something or injuring either the hat or head. The mould does seem to be of two pieces but are prertty tight together. Is it glued? Thanks for any advice.

There is an earlier version of the postman Fabufig where the hat is a separate piece. It is the same for some fire helmets and (black) police hats.

On Bricklink you can see the figs that consist of two pieces (fig and hat) and the figs that are one piece (glued hat).

For what I know, it's glued. I never tried to separate them myself, but I remember reading it somewhere.

I searched for it in the web already and had no luck. If you come acrooss it again, please post the link here.

I've seen white bulldogs - the one without the 'eye patch' - in online pictures without any headgear (fire helmet or police hat). For all I know, these figs only come with headgear, so it must be somehow possible to remove it. How much that damages the fig or the headgear, I don't know.

You've reminded me of this. [Edit: click 'Scene Selection', then 'Scene 7', then click forward two frames. I don't know who designed that website  ]

Set 3664 had a bulldog (brown) with a removable hat, it appears, as did 3669, and 3786 had a bulldog postman with a removable hat.

Bricklink lists 12 variations on the Bulldog figure, about 3 or so with removable hats. Try:

And changing x for the letters a to l.
