CorneliusMurdock Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 When I was able to get to a LEGO store last weekend, I was able to figure out the Highlander much more frequently from the hair then the sword or shield. Maybe because it's a thicker piece and therefore easier to find. I wasn't going to get one since I have someone I'm trading for one with but I kept finding the Highlander again and a again. It was like it wanted to be bought. Quote
Miss Kyle Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Aw, a nice kid found me a Roman today! Got the skater girl and the alien, too. Now there are only the robot, space girl, Lady Liberty and genie missing. Wahey, nearly there! Quote
Legogal Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Congratulations on finding those in the store! I had to buy the skater girl off eBay.....she looks so adorable! Those young kids have such nimble fingers, don't they!!! Quote
Esurient Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Congratulations on finding those in the store! I had to buy the skater girl off eBay.....she looks so adorable! Those young kids have such nimble fingers, don't they!!! Pink and black really complement each other for the skater girl. Anyway, from what I have observed from stores, most kids are often inaccurate in feeling the packets. I suspect that adults and AFOLs are the ones who specifically pick the minifigs from the box. I went to a Lego Store few weeks ago on my holiday trip and they had excess of skater girls, leprechauns, highlanders, mechanics, dancers, aliens and space girls. Skater girl was easy to feel because of the wheels and the skateboard. Quote
Steverd Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 That's why you always have to check for the rubber crown if you find a slope. (Lady Liberty) I also like to shake the bag and feel for the tiny book she holds. It will fall to the bottom of the bag. Completely different than the fan from the dancer. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I've checked two Walmarts, 4 Targets, 2 TRU's, my LEGO Store, and no Series 6! Grr! Does anyone know if they've been spotted in Minnesota yet? -Sci Quote
UKver2.0 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Does anyone know if they've been spotted in Minnesota yet? -Sci I got all my figures from the LEGO store at MoA. They had them in a few weeks ago and they lasted for at least two weeks. My last visit was on the 16th of January and they still had them spread throughout the store. They also had them at TRU in Minnetonka last week ($3.49). The inventory checker for Target says they are in stock at most of the Targets in the area, but I haven't checked physically. Other stores in the area which carry them that you may want to call are Micro Center and Hub Hobby. Target Inventory Checker Quote
Tytus Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I hope these start showing up in larger quantities this month. I got all the ones I really wanted from TRU, but want to complete the set at a more reasonable price. Seems like the local Targets only got in a single box, initially. Quote

ttoole73 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 For those in the states, I found Series 6 in Kmart of all places yesterday. My local Target had them, but I was told they were supposed to hold them until February 7. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I got mine at Fred Meyers. They seem to get them the same time as TRU, only at $2.99 USD, and you can get as many as you like, or just buy the box. I got all but the lady in the red dress...she didn't really interest me. Love this series...the Genie is fantastic. I wish the minotaur could turn his head, but he's still quite nice. Keep 'em coming, LEGO! Quote

Target # is 204-00-0211 Quote

legodac Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I think these are the real deal as they don't look like customs and I cannot imagine the statue of liberty being used in a normal set so must likely part of the CMF series. I hope others will be leaked gradually as it's quite exciting finding out what is coming figure by figure to add suspense rather than seeing them all in one go. As it happens I only buy the figures I like due to budgeting reasons so don't really see any use for the Statue of Liberty and I'm not that into space stuff (alien) but nice to hear something about Series 6. One of the great things about the CMF series is that there is usually something that will appeal and some new parts which will be useful for my town. Hopefully we will hear more soon though not all at once! Brick to Differ, the statue could be used in all sorts of ways. Imagine a Vignette where it's Halloween and they are going to costume party and the big guy, Hans, is dressed in tin foil, head to toe :) Quote

It's mascot is the Statue of Liberty. I see this as a perfect fit if someone were to do a MOC of it. I drove by one the other day and they had two people outside dressed as the Statue of Liberty. Abaddon127 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I have to say, that I LOVE this series. I have more Bandits, Highlanders, and Minotaurs than I really know what to do with. I only have 5 Romans though, and am looking for more. I only found ONE Elf from Series 3, so I'm making up for this shortfall by snatching up all the Romans I can. Quote
Ogre Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Congratulations on finding those in the store! I had to buy the skater girl off eBay.....she looks so adorable! Those young kids have such nimble fingers, don't they!!! Pfft. Us old farts do pretty well, too. All it takes is patience and practice. I'm 43 and have a 100% accuracy rate 'groping' the bags. The key is to know what you're feeling...visualize the part as you're feeling it...and take your time. Everybody I know who has "messed it up" did so by rushing the grope. Quote
Calabar Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Finally I get a box! Here is my list: 4x - Alien 5x - Highlander 3x - Sleepyhead 3x - Lady Liberty 5x - Bandit 4x - Flamenco Dancer 3x - Clockwork Robot 5x - Minotaur 4x - Leprechaun 3x - Roman Soldier 3x - Surgeon 4x - Skater Girl 4x - Intergalactic Girl 3x - Butcher 4x - Mechanic 3x - Genie Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Feeling the bags is ultra easy. With ZERO errors I got 25 romans, 15 highland warriors, 10 minotaurs, 5 genies, 5 leprechauns and 2x of the remaining. Now I'm waiting for S7. Quote
ttoole73 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Are they $2.99 at Kmart? If I remember correctly they were 2.99. Quote
sharky Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 The boxes I went through were hidden behind other packs - they looked untouched. Nevertheless, feeling for the spear, not an effective way to find that fig? The shield has a distinct curve and a single stud, but I find that the rectangular curve of the shield along with the handle on the shield is unique and is easy to feel for first. Quote
deskp Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Does the Highlander and gladiator swords fit in the potc scabbard? Quote
badbob001 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Does the Highlander and gladiator swords fit in the potc scabbard? The highlander sword fits. The gladiator has a spear. The sword does NOT fit into the prince-of-persia double-sword back scabbard. Quote
Etzel Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Does the Highlander and gladiator swords fit in the potc scabbard? The highlander sword fits. The gladiator has a spear. The sword does NOT fit into the prince-of-persia double-sword back scabbard. Both the Highlander's (S6) and the Gladiator's (S5) swords fit fine. The one with a spear in S6 is a Roman Legionary.
