Hey everyone who can't see the picture!

I've got it uploaded on my blog: http://sportbricks.blogspot.com/

My thoughts on the series.... I am still itching for an American Football Player or an alternate jersey for the hockey player or baseball player. I am however very pleased with all of the other figures!

Thank you.

Something to note is that the picture of the minifigs are on a white background with question marks. Does this mean that series 6 package color will be white?

I think someone said they would be earlier in the thread.

Huh. So far, I'm only liking the Legionnaire and the Robot. The others have nice new molds, but nothing too special.

My two faves, also.

Minotaur needs a rockin' two-handed, double-bladed battle axe...more like what Brick Warriors recently released. Its current weapon is a wee bit lame.

Yeah, I kind of agree. Perhaps the same blade piece, doubled up, with a full-size lightsaber blade for a handle, or maybe a 6M bar. Of course, if the body sticks forward too far holding something with two hands could be difficult... I guess we'll find out once the fig is available.

Personally, I think that axe blade piece looks kind of ugly unless it's used on a piece that is wider at the point where the second axe blade would otherwise be attached, like the aforementioned 6M bar. Otherwise it always gives me the impression that the blade would fall off as soon as you tried to cut something.

However, the first picture of series 5 made us all think that the bags were going to be purple. Quite frankly, I wouldn't understand why Lego is using light blue and white before using purple and red. I wouldn't mind, though, if they do end up using those colors. But that is, of course, completely unimportant, since what really matters is what figs we get. I had already fallen in love with this series with the first pics, but the robot and Roman have made me love it even more. I think I'll be getting all of them, and yes, I suffer from OMBD

Edit: Anybody knows when these might be released?

I think the reason they haven't done red is because it would make it too hard to see the Lego logo.

Purple seems like a likely choice for Series 7. Series 8 may be the last one (but I doubt it).

I recently read an article and I also posted it on my blog about LEGO and that their sales have improved in the UK alone a lot since they started doing theses, so if they are making a good profit and the series are still proving very popular amongst old and young a like would they stop making them, does not make sense to me.

This is looking to be the BEST Collectable Minifigures series ever! The inclusion of the Roman alone contributes to much of the appeal of this series. However, I am concerned about how easy (or, more likely, difficult) it will be to get the Roman Legionnaire. This is mainly because numerous people on here, as well as numerous fellow AFOLs I know, said that if a Roman Legionnaire ever was made in LEGO that they would collect it in enormous numbers (some may consider this hoarding). Hopefully LEGO puts 5 of these figures in every box so that people like me can actually get a Roman Legionnaire without having to pay obscene prices on eBay or slightly lower prices but ridiculous shipping fees to make the final fee just as obscene as eBay on Bricklink. Besides this slight worry that I have about these minifigures, I will fully enjoy collecting these brilliant LEGO minifigures.

I hope so, for the purpose of getting one for the collection - but I'll bet there'll be two per box, at least initially. The Spartan, Elf, Dwarf and Zombie were all threes (I think).

Other than the weird screw-up in Europe with the Mad Scientist, there have been at least three of every minifig in each box. There will definitely be at least (probably only) three Romans per box.

There was also a similar problem with the Fisherman from Series 3, but that was later fixed.

Personally, I don't know whether it makes much of a difference to the aftermarket price how many Romans there are per box. If the demand stays the same, then whether there are three or five per box probably won't make a huge difference.

Hmm, way to miss news, again!

Those remaining figures do not add anything to the series for me. Sure, most have very useful parts, but overall my favourites still are among the initially leaked figs. Even that roman legionary... and I say that despite the fact I did study classics and archaeology for years (not anymore though...). From that point of view I do have to ask in TLC's general direction: why do a new scutum piece (curved rectangle shield) and no proper pilum (javelin)? Apart from that, he's among the more welcome figs.

Who I do find very spectacular, though perhaps a different solution to represent her dress would have suited her better, is the flamenco dancer. Fabulous even in that grainy picture.

Honorable mention goes out to the toddler's new hair piece. And that plushie of his is a winner, too. ;-)

The surgeon, although excellently portrayed, isn't so much after my taste. He WILL be a champion to all those city builders however, which I do likewise welcome. The bandit isn't that much of a found treasure either. Red bandana will be nice though. Final verdict depends on clearer pics of his torso and face print, but he'd have to shine hard to rise in my regard...

Be well all!

Here's hoping TLG just do what they did with the series 5 Royal Guard and just stick 5 in a box. Give the people what they want! More romans = more money for TLG. Fewer romans = more money for re-sellers.

I don't follow. The resellers always buy from TLG. Whereas fans only sometimes buy from the resellers. Whether it's the resellers buying the figs to resell them or the fans buying them doesn't change how many figs are sold or how much money TLG is making. So why would TLG care whether resellers are profiting at the same time?

With that said, TLG does tend to keep the figures moderately balanced. There are no figs that are ten times as rare as others, unlike what you'd likely encounter with trading cards. And the fact that they've basically gone back and re-adjusted the rarities every time they had only two to a box seems to suggest that 3-5 of each fig per box is what they've decided people will be satisfied with.

I saved it in the huge size, but I'm hesitant to upload it to my Brickshelf, Flickr or Majhost gallery, as I'd rather not have any of them taken down.

You could stick it on www.postimage.org
