Jargo Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 (edited) Oh, I just noticed on that calender pic Grogall posted that the Leprechaun's cauldron pot is based on the 'new' medieval bucket. It has bucket handle attachment indents. Shame it's in brown not black. Hopefully a black one will come along in future medieval sets. Edited December 6, 2011 by Brickenhead-town-dweller Quote
escortmad79 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Yepeee!!! And I really hope the leprachaun does have his gold pot, as pictured there (but not on the Lego site :/) Hope so! Will make great plant pots! Quote

Yeah, the cauldron's applicability with the bucket handle piece is a great feature - probably my favourite detail in the Series 6. Luckily we've been getting quite a few spare handles in the sets this year. A black version of the cauldron would be nice in the future, but that would also require a black handle which we don't have yet. Quote

Well, there will be a gold handle in one of next year's Ninjago sets (clipped to a samurai helmet as a pair of stylized horns). I think a gold handle would work well on either a brown or black pot. I do hope we get a black pot in the future; it would work wonderfully for many applications! Quote
andhe Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 “They may take our bricks, but they’ll never take our imagination!” Nice braveheart reference TLG :P Guess everyone was going to make the association anyway. Quote
Aanchir Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Speaking of Braveheart references, recently surfaced on YouTube. It's hard to say if it's a genuine leak or some sneaky viral marketing, since it was liked by LEGO Club TV and is the only video by this uploader ("Brikileaks"). But either way it's hilarious! Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I love this series! But, one quick question: does anyone else notice that in the prelim pics the Leprechaun had a pot of gold but in the official pics he doesn't? Does anyone know why? Quote
Aanchir Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I love this series! But, one quick question: does anyone else notice that in the prelim pics the Leprechaun had a pot of gold but in the official pics he doesn't? Does anyone know why? Probably just because it isn't pictured, same as with the Magician's hair piece in Series 1. The video I just linked pretty much confirms that the actual fig will in fact have the pot of gold. Quote

And to everyone who miss the pot: S2 traffic cop is without the ticket and S3 mummy is without the scorpion on the official picture at lego.com, so it doesn't mean anything. Quote
DarthVader23 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Oh man, I really want that Roman Legionary minifig. he is to die for. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) Thanks for ths amazing video Aanchir! Lego proves this again- they are humor geniuses! Edited December 12, 2011 by Lordofdragonss Quote

Aanchir Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Hispabrick magazine has out-of-package photos of the Series 6 Minifigures, generously provided to them by Jan Beyer. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what side-printing any of their legs might have since they neglected to take side-view photos of any of the figs. Still, we get some amazing pics-- the Bandit's face is wonderfully swarthy-looking, and the Sleepyhead has a double-sided head with an adorable face for when he's sound asleep! Quote
Jetro Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Go check out the detailed pictures of the full series (one by one) on the HispaBrick Magazine blog! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Go check out the detailed pictures of the full series (one by one) on the HispaBrick Magazine blog! Thanks for those. I think the most exciting thing is the Sleepy kid's second face. Works for sleeping and being really smug. Also nice to see back printing on a few of these. Quote
vexorian Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) hmnn, HispaBricks uses the word for male surgeon but I was pretty sure it was a female surgeon, the face manages to look female without the addition of lipstick somehow. X-ray brick is just great. I wish LEGO would figure a way to print the back of the leg piece. The back of the Roman looks not like a skirt but like something else... His shield also looks significantly worse than in the preliminars. The alternate face on the creepy adult with teddy bear is awesome. Now I guess I will have to get a couple of them. The robot's head looks a lot more fitting in real picture than in the CGI, but I would have still preferred a normal minifig head. Just about all the face prints in this series are great and worth having a couple of. Edited December 15, 2011 by vexorian Quote
Zeya Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 What struck me from those photos was that the robot looks really good in non-CGI form. Also I now see that the key is attached to that neck bracket piece. The pink space woman (Barbarella) really pops, in a good way. I'm a little surprised at how few of these have back printing. I think the roman and the celctic warrior are suffering a little from a lack of back printing. Quote
Tamamono Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Thanks for the pictures, Aanchir and Jetro! Wow, these figures look even better out of the bag, especially the Sleepyhead! I love his alternate face. And the Bandit is starting to grow on me too. His black pistols, dark red bandana, and rugged face print definitely make the 'fig great! Quote
Zeya Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 And the Bandit is starting to grow on me too. His black pistols, dark red bandana, and rugged face print definitely make the 'fig great! Yeah, I've been wondering. Is that bandana in dark red? As opposed to regular red, like other bandanas of the same mold. Quote
Tamamono Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Yeah, I've been wondering. Is that bandana in dark red? As opposed to regular red, like other bandanas of the same mold. It's definitely dark red. The lighting is very similar in all of the photos (so it's probably not a trick of the light), and the bandana is slightly darker than the red pieces that make up the Flamenco Dancer's dress. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Nice pics! I count 20 new molds: Surgeon's hat Statue of Liberty's crown Mechanic's hair Mechanic's toolbox Robot's head Robot's key Celtic Warrior's sword Minotaur's head Roman Soldier's helmet Roman Soldier's shield Butcher's cleaver Butcher's steak Butcher's hat Alien's head Leprechaun's pot of gold Sleepyhead's hair Sleepyhead's bear Genie's gem Genie's 'legs' Genie's lamp Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Honestly, at first I didn't really like the Roman centurion. But after seeing those pics of him, I am truly excited to get that fig!! I truly love all of them, even the Flamenco Dancer! I especially love the Genie, Sleepyhead, and Lady Liberty! The Statue of Liberty fig is truly beautiful. And I also love the Sleepyhead's hair and double-sided head. Overall, great series!!! Quote
UsernameMDM Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Is that a hole for a plume on the Roman soldier's helmet? Quote
Yooha Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 So there IS a pot with gold for the Leprechaun. I like the bandit better and better, the printing is nice; I love that moustache! Quote
