Tytus Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) I just picked up 19 at the Target in Tyler, Texas. I thought I had a complete set plus extra Romans and minotaurs, but I goofed and mistook an alien's gun for the Genie's lamp. There seemed to be two boxes worth on an endcap at $ 2.99 each. I didn't know the alien's eye came out a bit from the head. I'm glad I got the extra. Though this marks the last complete set for me. I could have done without a few of them in favor of more extras. Target, eh? I have a gift card that I haven't been able to spend yet... guess where I'm rushing during lunch break today? :) They were reshuffling the toy aisles just as I was I was passing through. Hopefully they will be there after work! Edited January 10, 2012 by Tytus Quote
Lego_Hero Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 will the info be useful? it will only help when you are looking at a box that is opened in front of you. otherwise someone else could have thrown in other packs from other boxes and/or mixex up the contents in there while feeling the packs. True, but if you told me, "third row middle", I would be able to narrow down the search. I check my TRU frequently so I usually have a box or to to go through that hasn't been messed up too horribly. badbob001 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I dropped by the New York City Lego store, grabbed 16 random packs, and went to pay. The total rung up more than I expected so I asked and was told that each costs $3.49! I was a bit annoyed since the lego catalog and online store show it to be $2.99. I decided not to get it since for $10 more, I can get a complete set off ebay and not have to worry about returning duplicates and buying more random packets to complete the collection. Quote
Esurient Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 After getting my 16 minifigures I would say I am pleased with the designs and the effort put into printing the minifigures. Which minifigure do you most like and least like? I like the Roman Soldier most because I can build my army and I least like the Space Galactic Girl because all the parts are not unique and have been used before in the previous series. Quote
Wardancer Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I must say, I am very pleased with the minotaur. I was not so sure about him when I saw the pictures, but now I like them. The golden metallic printing on the pants is very beautiful. They are cute, running around and bouncing into each other with their little horns, acting all important in front of the other figs "Hey, step aside, I have a bull's head." I am looking for a way to make then taller, maybe two 1x1 black plate as hooves. Maybe I can paint the eyes in a better colour, too. A regiment (stampede?) of 6 and 1 leader will suffice. Also I am not sure if the axe is a bit underwhelming for a character that is supposed to be very strong. They look good with the vikings shield but I guess they fight more in a berserk, not caring about defense style. Quote

My favorite is the Grey Alien. I plan to army build and use them in place of the green aliens in Alien Conquest. I think the Grey Alien and the Hazmat guy from Series 4 were made to go along with the AC theme. I am also fond of the Bandit because I don't really have an Western themed items. Quote
Zeya Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) TRU here in the US now has CMF6 available and in stock for purchase online. They have the price at $3.50 though, when MSRP is $2.99. :( http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12131498&prodFindSrc=rv Edited January 11, 2012 by Zeya Quote

Unfortunately, I suppose some who don't have a Lego store close by and want them now will have to pay the higher price. Quote
CtotheP Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Went to the Lego store at Woodfield Mall (outside Chicago) and they had a TON!. Kids were in there trying to feel bags. Since I was in a hurry, I just grabbed 7 packets and got out of there. I've only opened 3 but I got 1 Robot, 1 Highland Warrior and 1 Genie. Quote

I work just a couple of blocks away from Woodfield, so I'll be stopping in there tonight after work. The store's staff is really good about actually helping you to find the figs that you're looking for. There's one dude who works there (I forget his name) who's amazingly good at it. Quote
mo123567 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) I'm glad I was able to get S6 at the Lego store. Toys R Us is a rip off and some of the people at the one closest to me are kind of rude. Edited January 11, 2012 by mo123567 Quote
Homer_S Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I just got my 16 at Bricks & Blocks outlet in Waterloo Ontario Canada. They are in the St Jacobs outlet mall. Used to be a lego store now independent. 3.49 each I don't know if it has been noted before but for the package feelers out there, the minitors horns are separate, the genies medalian on his hat is separate also and the space girls helmet is not smooth it feels like a second hair through the bag. Good to know! How many did they have there? And are you only allowed 16 per transaction? Might pop out there after work...... Quote

I got 20 so I guess no limit, (last time I was told there was a limit if the owner was there) they had 1 box out, I suspect more in the back, they came in yesterday. Quote

SilvaShado Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Here's a good guide on what pieces to feel for when trying to identify which series 6 minifigure is in the bag. The guide is written by my husband who is visually impaired so he is used to using his hands to see. He has been 100% accurate in identifying the minifigures. We're not going to be shopping at TRU much anymore. Their sales won't even bring the prices back to retail price with how much they've raised the prices. My local TRU is selling Catwoman for $19.99! I'm very glad we live near a LEGO store. We went on Monday as they finally got a shipment in. We were able to get a whole set plus some extras. Going back again this weekend to pick up some for friends since hubby is so good at identifying them. Quote

Any chance you (or anyone else) can provide a Target DCPI# for these? I would like to punch it into one of the scanners to see if they have any in stock in the back. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I got them! 5 roman centurions, 5 minotaurs, 7 highland battlers, 2 leprechauns, 1 genie and ZERO errors. Now I will go on, I must reach big lots (I do the bagfeeling for friends also) like 36 centurions and so on. Rome, Italy, is my hunting territory. I wish for your minifig collection to stand aside from this city! ;) Quote
