Assuming these are legit (I guess it is the right time to start seeing leaked pics of series 6 now...)

- Finally an alien head that looks the way I had hoped for the first alien in this series  (but like others have pointed out, what's the deal with that torso and those red hands?)

- Loving the T-bone steak, hat and cleaver of that butcher .

- Toolbox and Elvis-hair! The mechanic is great!

- Very nice torso and legs on the female skater, and the hair looks good too. But I'm not really liking the striped arms, and that face has way too much make-up and another stupid grin. (and seriously, another skateboard? :hmpf:)

- The genie is most impressive.

- That's a really pink spacewoman.... (nice face and hair though, and great to get a female astronaut.)

- Really cool Statue of Liberty (and I don't understand how there's any doubt that it's in sand green, and that it should be sand green and not any other color)

Can't wait to see pics of the remaining 6 figs! :sweet:.

Series 6, 7, or 8. Whichever series these minifigs are from they're pretty cool.

However, the Alien torso is absolute amateurish rubbish. and I've never seen a t-bone steak with a leg bone coming out of the end, probably because t-bone steaks come from the middle of the cow not from anywhere near a leg. I'm sure if this IS an official bunch of minifigures Lego would spot the mistake and rectify it. and give the alien a proper torso design.

I can't figure out why everyone's questioning the Statue of Liberty's color so much. On my computer's screen, it's an obvious sand green, and my computer doesn't display any of the other colors at all strangely. The leprechaun's hat seems a considerably deeper green color.

For comparison purposes, here's a Sand Green brick on Brickshelf, and here's the Statue of Liberty fig. On my computer screen, there's not much difference. There's considerably more contrast with a green or bright green brick.

It's not that I want the Statue 'fig to be something other than sand green, it just doesn't look quite like it is to me. I have sand green parts and know the color, perhaps being a CM and thus a china plant production some of the discrepancy is the less opaque/more translucent density of the 'fig's is rearing it's ugly head again.....

If these are the real thing and part of the same series this may surpass series 4 in number of great desirable mini's!

A lot to look at here in terms of accessories and parts as well as unique cultural figures! :sweet:

I have just 3 major impressions:

1) The genie is absolutely gorgeous but looks oddly familiar, I hope Disney don't file a lawsuit...

2) The statue of Liberty's skirt is flipped so there is probably printing on the other side. (assembled backwards in other words)

3) Minotaur: (Finally!  ) Hopefully this is not the last instance of mythological monsters being built into mini-figures!

Can't wait for the other 6! If even 3 are as good as these I will declare this the best series yet!

Well if this is real (which by the way it looks really good!), that only means more minifigs I do not own. A few of them female minifigs would be great to even out my population...

Mechanic's hair + Mutt's torso= Elvis Presley!

Sweet! For a moment there I thought I was the only one thinking that. Below is what came to me when I saw the mechanic. :grin:3D LEGO

Wow! I hope these are not only legitimate, but also the final versions of these particular collectible minifigures because they all look fantastic (maybe with the exception of the alien though his torso print is nice). I'll likely collect all of them, but I don't feel like I will need duplicates of any of them, save for the much-coveted minotaur and highlander. Also, I swore to never buy another skateboarder again after the first two, but I can't help but wish to give that punk girl a spare electric guitar to play alongside the Series 4 Punk Rocker!

It seemed to match the arms of a Giant Troll from the Castle theme I happened to have next to me almost exactly when I was making a comparison, so I doubt there's any huge discrepancy. More likely just a factor of Sand Green parts looking different under different light (particularly depending on what other colors they're next to). So I think the quality of the photo's more likely to blame than any translucency issues (which would presumably make the color look less vibrant than it should be, not more so). Alternatively, could just be your screen. When I look at the fig on my LCD laptop screen from an extreme angle, it does look much darker than it should, but from a more direct angle it's an obvious sand green.

If not Sand Green, then maybe a new Sandish Green? Like a Mint Green? Kinda like how Azure is new.

But... it's cute! I'd rather give the scariest minifig prize to the Atlantis Portal Emperor (without his helmet), for example. But we all have different sort of nightmares.

Statue of Liberty looks absolutely great, I really hope it's legit! And then Venus de Milo in Series 7?

Ok, you are way, WAY off. The Boggart Snape is by far the most disturbing. Snape should never look like that...........

wow... this is first time, form the begining of the serier, that I;ve sad: "I will buy them all"

bravo, TLG, you are getting better and better with every series! :)

I realise they don't lift ideas from it, but so far each series has included one of my ideas from the Suggestions thread and I'm glad to see the Statue of Liberty here for that reason :)

No series so far has challenged Series 1 as my favourite but this looks like it could do it.

Wow, these are great. But then, this whole line in general tends to be wonderful, IMO.

Like others I do think the Alien could have benefitted from a different torso design - simpler would've been better, I think, even if it meant a plain, unprinted torso. TLG probably wanted to give it some extra pizzazz to add value, though, and I really can't complain; it's not as though we can't swap parts around and use completely different torsos for these guys while using their torsos for robots or other things. The head is really all that matters here, and it's terrific.

The skater may be another repeat, but it's a welcome one. It's perhaps notable that most if not all of the repeated roles are users of some sort of sport board - skateboard, surfboard, snowboard. Certainly these are all figures one might reasonably wish to use a number of in a scene (to have multiple skaters in a skating park, multiple snowboarders on a ski slope, etc.), while at the same time wanting lots of variation (since they're generally not team sports, thus not calling for uniforms, unlike, say, players of hockey, football/soccer or baseball). There are several other figure types in the various series for whom one might want more variation, though (tribal hunter, cowboy, zombie, etc.) that have had little or no duplication (including all those team sports players - they need other teams to play against, after all). I wonder why TLG seems focused on the folks on boards...

Mechanic's hair + Mutt's torso= Elvis Presley!

For me, Mechanic's hair + Mutt's torso (and head and legs) = Mutt, perhaps, actually. The male hair element that debuted in the second Indiana Jones wave (the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull release wave) somehow looks okay for Mutt, but isn't really very much like his hairstyle in the movie; in fact, it's actually closer to the one seen on Indy himself when he's not wearing his hat, even though TLG didn't use it for that. The big cowlick on the top of the mechanic's hair is notably different from the "real" Mutt's hair, but if not for that one aspect, I think it would work well. I plan to go ahead and try it on Mutt to see how it looks.

Not impossible, but it would be a major surprise. The only "green" color we're currently anticipating is Spring Yellowish Green, which is more of a "Bright Light Lime" than anything else (and I wouldn't put it past Bricklink to call it that-- it'd at least be compatible with some of their other color names). It's the last color shown here (via LDD), and doesn't really resemble the Statue of Liberty's color at all.

A new color we haven't heard of would still be possible, but at this stage I'd put money on the final color for the Statue of Liberty fig being Sand Green.

Very true; however, LEGO anatomy has always been a little odd . I think the only way to change the steak and have it fit the system well would be to put a stud on the underside; I might like the bone solution better.

I think I'll take a more radical step if this is released and actually remove the bone section. I'm not normally one for such measures but in this case I'd have to as it really does stretch the rules of anatomy. I'd probably get two or three of the butcher so the removed bone would be re-purposed as extra skeleton parts or dog bones. I'll admit though that I'm happy to see some beef in Lego food. Those poor Lego minifigs must be sick of their limited diet by now. Although the recent addition of fish, chickens, goats and black pudding sausage is sure to have been welcomed. Oh and the cream pie from the clown too. Now all they need is cutlery.

Looks like I'm pretty late to this party. Dang, offline for a few days and you miss quite a bit...

Anyway, I'm really impressed with the selection so far. I'm not a fantasy builder, but there's quite a bit to be excited about for those that are. I'll definitely be getting the mechanic, Statue of Liberty, and skater (pretty sure none of the people who complain about the prevalence of skateboarders actually skate themselves, but I certainly appreciate it  ), and though I don't have any use for the butcher, his cap is perfect for a 50's diner or candy shop. Come to think of it, this series actually seems comparatively light on the city type figs, though there will probably be two or three more in the remaining six.

This series is looking great so far.

The ones that really stand out for me are the 'Lady Liberty' and the Minotaur. I wonder if there could be more statues (a Greek Marble statue 'fig would be great) and Mythological creatures in later series... so many possibilities  .

The Gray is slightly disappointing though, especially since I've been wishing for a proper one since the S3 alien. :sadnew:

Can't wait to find out what the rest of the series is.

Wow ths series looks AMAZING so far.

My favorite is the space girl but anybody else but me think it shouldve been red? I personally find pink to be a disgusting color and red is something that appeals to a girl without being super girly girl because APPARENTLY thats what LEGO always thinks about when they hear the word "girl". I cant wait to see if in the future if were gonna get a blue, and snot green, and black space minifig from here because I am losing my mind for those figs.

The skater girl is nice and she goes well with series 1 skater because of their hoodies Anyone notice the stripe printing on her arms? LEGO is making a million skaters but a million skater that are good!!!

The Miatoar is nice but hese not exactly super here but I gotta say LEGO is getting VERY creative during this series, series 4 may have a competitior now  .

The butcher is a nice edition but Im not SUPER thrilled with him but he outa be usefull someway or another.

The genie is very nice, not my favorite, but very nice. People have been saying that he looks like he might be able to be attached to the lamp and I agree on that. Some are concerned he'll fall over but If you have ever stacked some 2x2 bricks on a 1x1 brick then you'll see he'll be secure.

The alien is one of my favorites but really the only thing thats flatering about him is the head. The torso is O.K. Im hoping were gonna get this head in the snot green for Alien Conquest in 2012!

80's mechanic looks nioce, and if nobody believs these are made by LEGO STILL even after seeing the word LEGO on the butcher and barbarian then you should know thats the SAME hair used on super man minifig for super hero licence this year.

Lepurcahn is beutiful. But shouldnt his pot be black? Its great anyway and I dont mean to critisize the photographer but the gold that the pot is attached to looks to me like it should be inside. 1 peice of gold isnt enough for me but then again I have a ton of gold 1x1 cylindar plates so that should take care of that.

The barbarian is not the shining star of the series but I like his printing and the sword looks like its from series 5's gladiator guy only a bit longer, new mold?

Lady libert is VERY nice. One of the shining stars of the series. If she were 90x her size then we could make the perect NYC diaroma  (exuse my corny joke but Im not a comedian!)

Over all- 5 stars!!!

This is one of the best series. I cant wait to see the other 6 figs and what color the packet are gonna be! Keep up the good work LEGO!

No, it's not the same hair.
