Mariann Asanuma Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) Hi guys and gals! I just recently finished one of my largest commissioned pieces and I can now share it with all of you. This is the Perot Museum of Science and Nature that is currently being built in Dallas, Texas. Here's what the rendered image looks like: Because the interior can be seen through the "glass" windows I had to make 5 floors worth of walkways. For the next month it will be on display at the Dallas Cityscape Exhibit. You can read more about it on my Model Building Secrets blog. Edited August 5, 2011 by Rufus Indexed Quote
The Spark That Bled Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 That's amazing. I enjoyed reading your blog entry about it as well. Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 That's pretty massive! Really looks like it! Wish I had that much white bricks! Quote
-R8- Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Mariann, this is a fantastic replica of a unique building. It's even more impressive that the interior is fully designed as well. The amount of thought that went into designing and drafting the blueprints really paid off in the final product. Quote
treeboy Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 That's amazing. I enjoyed reading your blog entry about it as well. I agree with the above. Really nice work! Congratulations. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) Wow, that is awesome. The inside looks good as the exterior. It looks like this took quite some time. Very well done . Is that glue used? Edited August 4, 2011 by Leg Godt Gud Quote

Is that glue used? Yes, I glued the whole model, one brick at a time. I had to, I was shipping it from California to Texas. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Very impressive creation 'Mariann Asanuma', is it minifig scale ? Brick On ! Quote
Toadtorrent Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Very impressive build. An interesting idea, great execution, and determined sourcing of white and trans-clear elements. I'm always impressed to see angular features on big scale projects and yours is a great execution! Quote
22kane Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Very cool. I'm taking a trip to Texas next week so I'll keep a look out for this. Nice job. Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Wait! You went to BrickWorld without much sleep. You went to Comicon where you probably did not have much sleep. And you build this very large commission. When did you sleep? Quote
