I just watched it on the big screen and I am going to watch it again on Monday night too. I enjoyed it very much!

It was a fantastic film, I'd even say it was my favourite superhero film so far! Great action, great comedy and it was the Avengers! It's another, wait during the credits film as well.

I liked this a lot, and it's one of the better superhero flicks, but I did have a few quibbles with it:

1) Loki's character seemed almost pantomime-like, especially in the scene where Hulk interrupts his speech. The comedy went a bit too far there I think...!

2) The Avengers seemed to win every fight with ease when the army came down. There was pretty much no sense of danger or threat in this film at all.

3) The alien race was underused and pretty much irrelevant - it all just seemed like one big setup for a sequel (from the post-credits sequence anyway).

It was still a great watch though and had a fantastic script. Whedon's direction was brilliant, though the 3D didn't really add much and got quite disorienting towards the end.

WOW!!

Just... wow.

That was truly one of the best movies I have ever seen.

It had everything in just the right amount; tension/thrill, action, humor. And all perfectly flowing into one another as well.

I had to laugh SO hard when Loki had his speech interrupted by the Hulk who swung him back and forth into the floor by his legs. Oh my God, that was so hilarious. And the frightened/shocked look on Loki's face afterwards really gives you a good feeling that he realizes he underestimatement (is that a word?)

I do feel really sad about Agent Coulson's death. It was a good death, but I felt it was too soon, that he should appear in more movies

The post-credits part was nice. But... isn't the creature that appeared there supposed to be green, instead of the purple-ish it looked like?

Yeah, you just have to read carefully. I don't know anything about the poster, and I can't seem to find any details either. You have a pretty good chance of getting one of you go tomorrow though.

Just got back from the theater. I thoroughly enjoyed it, although the humor using the Hulk was a bit much. The plot was extremely cliche, although the execution was awesome. Shame about Coulson, but I guess someone had to die...

I was so pumped after I saw it, I couldn't go to sleep until 5 in the morning. Wonderfully executed with a great mix of everything. I feel this was one of the few that I felt like I got my moneys worth.

Saw the premier this morning at 12:01, This is probably my new favourite movie, even better then Star Wars only because the prequels were very bad. Well, batman movies are tied I think, the nolan ones.

This movie made me laugh, cry, cheer, and jump out of my seat, it was very very well done! Can't wait to see it again!

Went to the Thursday, midnight show with some friends! Took my 8 year old son and let him skip school Friday morning for it.

He wore an Iron Man costume with the full head helmet, red gloves and I put red socks over his shoes, but, under his costume. The atmosphere before the movie was awesome. All the people, TV news crews. My son had a blast!! After the movie was out, he kept screaming in the parking lot, "best day EVER". He had people wanting their picture taking with him all night. He watched the movie with his helmet on, but, the faceplate of it up.

The movie was EPIC to say the least, perfect, no, but, as close as you can come, IMO! We will be seeing again, hopefully Sunday. My son already wants to dress as Thor to see it.

Sorry to go on about my little superhero, but, I thought someone would get a good laugh out of it.

But, seriously, the movie was a great mix of action and comedy. Hulk made the movie and some of the biggest laughs were for his actions. "Puny God"! Coulson will be back, I think, the actor is signed on for more movies! Thanos will be awesome to see. I can't wait to see Thanos and Hulk go at it.

Iron Man 3 will kick off Avengers phase II, from what I've read. Sounds like they will use the same formula, 3 or 4 movies that lead into Avengers 2. Iron Man 3, Cap 2, Thor 2, maybe another Hulk movie, then Avengers 2.

I saw it yesterday and it was EPIC. My favorite parts were:

A: When Hulk started smashing around Loki, everyone started laughing and clapping.

B: The secret mini-movie.

Saw it last night, so amazing! The fight scenes were done very well and unlike the Hunger Games, the Avengers lived up to the hype. Coulson's death was sad and even sadder with the unsigned Captain America cards. But very funny and smart movie overall.

Apparently, you lot over seas got a second secret scene at the end of the credits? I think it's something about the Avengers going to the bar or something, it'd make sense because I saw a trailer where Iron-Man lands outside a little cafe place at night, and I didn't see that in the movie at all.

Saw this movie a few days ago.

It was great, had good action and it had some hilarious parts around, even if the story may be a bit cliche.

Overall, a very fun and enjoyable movie.

Finally got around to seeing this today. WOW! So awesome! Action packed and funny. The scenes where they're fighting together, killer. Going again Wednesday.

Saw it twice this weekend, once regular and once in 3D, and it sure was a great entertaining movie! I might even see it a third time in IMAX if I can manage it. The Hulk scenes were definitely the best parts. The whole thing was just very well done, which makes me even more glad that we got Lego sets of this fantastic movie.

You have some good points of course, but you have to keep in mind that this was all intentional since they had to please the fans. The fans wanted a fun flick about the Avengers kicking butt, and that's what they got. That's why the villains were taken down with such hilarious ease and were just generic aliens; to make the Avengers look good. If it makes you feel any better, Joss Whedon said that the sequel should be "smaller. More personal. More painful. By being the next thing that should happen to these characters, and not just a rehash of what seemed to work the first time. By having a theme that is completely fresh and organic to itself." So, it will be much different from the first one.

Besides, the humor in this film wasn't nearly as overused as it is in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.

I'm assuming that I don't need spoiler tags in this thread. Some people do use them, but no one has complained about that comment about Coulson's death.

I don't think this is going to replace Indy as my favourite franchise, but still very excellent. Totally the pay-out from the previous movies I was hoping for, and more. Still absolutely love Tony Stark. Bruce Banner's quiet cynicism appealed to me more than I expected as well. Pretty much everyone had a moment where I loved them, even Thor with his 'he was adopted' line and Captain America with 'I got that reference'. Have watched it twice now, the only movie in a very long time that I have seen at the cinema more than once.

The only thing I would have changed is the 'Galaga' bit (funny, if a bit too cartoonish) and possibly the 'Hulk smash Loki' scene. But that was made up for by the beautiful moment with Tony on the other side of that portal.

It was filmed after the world premiere. Not sure why they decided to include it at all, but at least we now know that Tony got his shawarma in the end.

I went to see it yesterday and I loved it. I'm quite fond of superhero films, although many of them have flaws. Avengers is one of the best superhero films around (and that's not really news ). It was full of action, but it wasn't a mindless ride like Transformers, it was deep at moments (Stark and Banner) with good conversations and the humour was excellent. No, it wasn't something like Nolan's Batman series but that wouldn't fit with the colourful group of Avengers.

All of the heroes got enough screen time, but I especially loved Iron Man and the Hulk. Ruffalo is a great Hulk! I thought Captain America and Thor wouldn't be that good, but the characters were much better than in their own films. Even the heroes without power were good presented. Loki was a perfect, almost maniacal, bad guy. Fury showed more emotion than usual and although I've seen her way to much as Robin, Cobie Smulders impressed me as Maria Hill. She was more on screen than I thought she would be.

Story-wise it's a bit cliché, but I didn't really expect more. I expected to forget real life for two hours and I did. I was pulled into the film immediately because it was the perfect blend of what a blockbuster should be.

And most of all, it is pulling me out of my (sort of) dark ages. LEGO Avengers, assemble.
