Ricecracker Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 This MOC took surprisingly little time to build, but I'm very happy with it. It is a Brush Fire Truck built on an International WorkStar chassis, heavily inspired by this MatchBox truck, as well as real Brush Trucks. I had this on display at both BrickWorld and BrickFete, and I'm glad to say it was well received by both AFOLs and the public. The photos are by a photographer in my LUG. Alec Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 This looks awesome, best 4WD I've seen in LEGO. Like the over hang on the back end. Quote
LuxorV Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I really like the feel of this model, very American and very toy-ish. It strongly reminds me of some old toy I had as a kid Quote
Rufus Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Wow, that's a great truck! You have quite a talent for these, Ricey It's one of the most realistic vehicles I've ever seen at this scale Moar please! Quote
Capn Frank Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I was real impressed when I saw this MOC at BW. It's a great looking firetruck. After seeing it at BW I thought I had missed this MOCs thread on EB. Here is a crummy photo that I took of this MOC at BW. Quote
medib Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Isaac.... I love all the detail. Great photos of it, btw. I will have to put some stuff next year to be photographed. As for building prowess... you are amazing for your age. I really loved seeing your "rail-side scene" if would with the funky angle and the nice building beside it at Brickfete and a lot of people really enjoyed looking at it and your other creations. Rick Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I already saw a picture of this on flickr the other day (but I always prefer commenting on EB). Nice job on the front section, using studs and tiles to create the slope and fixing the indicator lights upside down (not a detail shall go unbuilt, eh? ). The running boards look great using those little panels. And I also like that you have used 7-wide for the back. The white stripe along the side are a nice touch, I just feel it 'interrupts' the roller doors a bit too much maybe. Excellent creation overall, Ricey! Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Yes, 'ricecracker' even Smokie The Bear would also say AWESOME ! Keep on fighting them wild fires ! Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I really liked that one on Brickworld RC. Especially the the little scene you placed it in: Quote
