I agree. they could have adapted one of the backpacks to accomodate the hose/lance that was with the hazmat collectable minifigure from series 4.

Also, They should maybe have given the firefighters the little fuel/oil can tool to resemble the firefighters using the burn back method of firefighting.

That's very true 'scott', the back burn tool...see Lego brains and the real world....I think the designer of the forest fire sets should visited Oz during bushfire season and witness the fire crews and their equipment in action.....sadly that fancy fire semi with the duck might not sell that well in Oz...the only ducks similar are on the Gold Coast for tourists.

And probably as its a mobile command there won't be an actual fire station of sorts to come!

Your right, we should of all things for the forest and most common problem in a forest is not crime as such but FIRE !

Like I always say we can always MOC one, convert a police station into a fire control centre.....Lego should come up with instructions eh ?

Why not? I can't imagine TLG passing up an opportunity for another fire station. Seriously, it's a staple set, and the fact that it would be in a forest location would enable TLG to break the "another fire station" monotony. And look at this years police sets - they released the massive 7288 Mobile Police Unit alongside the police station without batting an eyelid.

Yeh in Aus, America and France, fires are a major problem in the forest. MODing the police station might be good!

Ive just noticed there is to be the release of 4205 Off Road command centre in the forest fire series but no pics yet or other info. So maybe this could be their station.

I can't wait. The new brick design (in nougat?) will be ideal for brick facades, and the round plate with the bars will greatly advance plant building. The bear is in two sets and will find its way into other things. Ranger hats have been tackled by Brickforge, so the TLG version may not interest me.

New Sets Now available at SHOP AT HOME!!!

Check out this link to see a good shot of the bear's face (scroll through the additional images).

Impressive!

That bear mold is wonderful, and the interior themselves are quite nice... Though, 'm not sure why they opted for green floor.

So far I've picked up 4432 Garbage Truck, 4435 Car & Caravan, 4436 Patrol Car, 4437 Police Pursuit and 4439 Heavy-lift Helicopter.

Some observations:

*Interior the camper is awesome. Kitchen, table, bed and TV.

*Love the new roof piece that allows wider seperation of the front and rear windows and two passengers in the car.

*Garbage truck uses a brighter, apple green, not the regular green.

*Awesome torsos for the forest rangers and forest rescue guys, the latter of which includes printed legs.

*The copter is massive and just an awesome build. I just wish it could fit bigger vehicles inside. Unfortunately, they are too wide.

One big complaint though: LEGO has dumbed down the instructions. It's actually quite ridiculous! The garbage truck is 51(!) steps for just the main model, not including sub-assemblies. The camper trailer is 49 and the copter is 86, again not including sub assemblies. Why? Because you basically only add two-three pieces per step! A little ridiculous. It makes building them less fun for some reason.

Who else realized that the wrong picture is on the Police HQ's set page

I realized it after I saw all the city themed sets listed. I was wondering "how on earth does that set have 633 pieces?"

The ambulance, garbage truck, and the car & caravan are all $25 Canadian. It's about average it seems, but since all 3 are the same price it'll work out great for any of those "Buy 1 Get 1 50% off" sales.

Does anyone know the UK price of the $20 sets, such as Car and Caravan, Garbage Truck, etc??

I'd also like to know this - if I had to guess I'd say £14.99 each, but I'm sure we'll find out for certain in the coming days.

So some of you have actually seen these at your local lego store? Just at mine tonight (Schaumburg, IL) and did not see any... I guess I could order online, but part of the thrill for me is the hunt... kinda like searching for star wars / gi joes when I was a kid...

Really psyched for that camper... thanks for the notes on the interior... The police chopper looks cool too... still think the coast guard heli from 08 is way cooler though.

I bought the camper but I wouln't call a 1x2 brick a "table" and a 2x2 plate with center stud a "kitchen". Grumpiness aside, I agree 100% with your instructions observation. The 8880 Super-Car has less pages.

Yup! I just got the garbage truck, camper and ambulance from the local LEGO store (Fairview Mall, Toronto). They had all of the new sets that have been posted on the front page. They got them in yesterday.

I really like the new wave of CITY sets. All those new parts...

And I don't know if anyone else spotted it already but those new 1x1 round tiles for the backlights of the jeep at the Forest Police Station 4440 are great. I was really surprised to see that. I had to look twice to convince myself they were really there.

Now it is waiting for my local shop to stock them...

Those tiles are in all sorts of sets next year. The Forest Police Station has them in Transparent Red, as you mentioned, but they also exist in sets in Transparent Yellow, Transparent Blue, Transparent Green, Medium Stone Grey (Bricklink's Light Bluish Gray), and Warm Gold (Bricklink's Pearl Gold). They're also printed in several Cars and Ninjago sets. I think printing will be where their potential will really begin to shine, (I can picture tan ones printed to resemble chocolate chip cookies, for instance), but they also have functional applications-- this holiday promo set uses one underneath the grille of the fireplace, a function that couldn't be performed by two 1x1 round plates.
