Posted August 6, 201113 yr Hi! in next days i will start the set 8043, and i will lubrificate all the gears which you think is the better of the two: - http://www.arexons.com/arexons/cms/industria/system-grassi/5001-grasso-silicone.html - http://www.arexons.com/arexons/cms/auto/lubrificanti-sbloccanti/svitol-technik/2182-silikon-spray.html
August 6, 201113 yr On this Eurobricks post, tusty said he had good luck with the Silicone spray on his Lego 8043 set. On this Eurobricks post, Out of Sight said he preferred Silicone Oil for his 8043. 5150 Lego suggested using RC Gear Oil (from hobby shops). It are designed for plastic gears revving at high speeds.
August 8, 201113 yr For faster spinning gears I prefer silicone spray and for slower spinning gears silicone grease.
August 9, 201113 yr Hell yeah! There's a newfound 'torque' once everything is lubricated. I would avoid silicone spray though..the propelant inside the can may attack the Lego's plastic. 100% pure silicone is what's needed such as RC silicone shock oils..or Pamela Anderson's 'silicone enhancements' LOL kidding. Apply LIGHTLY to avoid mess on the gears, shafts, U-joints with small flat tip brush. Edited August 9, 201113 yr by Out of Sight
