Landlubber Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Hello all. Nice little community you have here. Just thought my first post should be a general hello. I recently pulled out my childhood lego collection and rediscovered how much pirate gear I had. Of course, I started buying more as I found it in various places . Collection currently consists of 3 Skull EYe Schooners, A couple of BSB's, A Carribean Clipper, red beard runner , pair of Santa Cruzes (although 1 is MISB, $40AU off ebay last week) ,3 Eldorado Fortresses, An Imperial Trading Post, couple of Forbidden Islands and a whole pile of smaller sets and MOCs. It's good to find somewhere that gathers all the pirate info into one place, so I'll be seeing you all around from time to time. Heres a quick snapshot of the Fleet, minus MISB Santa Cruz and Red Beard Runner which is dissassembled for inventory to find out what parts I'm missing from it. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 'Ello Landlubber! Welcome. :-) I am very envious of your fleet. Quote

Welcome aboard. How did you hear about us? perhaps phes is doing his job? :P (j/k phes we know you spam every lego site imaginable to bring raw sailors here to become men.) Quote
Scouty Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Welcome aboard Landluber! This fleet is very envious. YOu could take the seven seas without a doubt!! As along with the sets, your mocs are very good as well. I would like to see more pics of the fleet soon. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 17, 2006 Governor Posted August 17, 2006 Greetings laddie! I'm as crook as a chook on a hook so my ramblings may seem airy fairy. I be wondering how I let a MISB Imperial Flagship escape me for that price. How much was the postage? Quote
Berry Syedow Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Ahoy thar, fellow landlubber! That's quite the astounding collection. Enjoy yer stay, here! Quote
Landlubber Posted August 17, 2006 Author Posted August 17, 2006 Greetings laddie! I'm as crook as a chook on a hook so my ramblings may seem airy fairy. I be wondering how I let a MISB Imperial Flagship escape me for that price. How much was the postage? Well, Armada Flagship. Wish it was an Imperial Flagship. Haven't got one of those. Postage was the best part. The ship was located 10 minutes from my house so I just hopped on the Motorbike and went and picked it up. I cant believe no-one else bid on it. It's hard to not come across the forum if you search for pirate lego. Mister Phes has pretty much plastered anywhere pirate related. Skaforhire- Yep that is an extended BSB at the back. I've got the week off work and it was a crap day for motorbike riding so I gave it a little bit of a rework. It only had 3 gunports each side so I reworked it to 6 a side and put in a bit of a deck with a deckboat. The ship also has a pair of 9V lanterns behind the wheel, powered by a battery box hidden beneath one of the grey hatches. Here's a couple more pics of it. I'll post up some more pics of my Mocs in the future (both sea and land). Hope to see some more of yours as well. Quote
El Bucanero Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Welcome aboard landlubber! that Extended BSB is the best extended BSB I ever saw, brilliant!! Quote
Scouty Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 X-O That is amazing! I especially like the lights in the back! Quote

SkaForHire Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Beautiful fleet, i'de love to play ESPG with that, welcome about mate! I agree Evil Willy, that would be a great fleet to game with! Thanks for posting pics Landlubber! I like the lanterns and the extension. Can't wait to see more! I hope you bought all those SES's when they came out... thats alot of money if you aquired them more recently! Quote
The Commodore Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Welcome Aboard! I must say that is one very nice fleet you have there, Only the one sea Hawke/ Caribbean clipper? Still they all look in excellent condition, Particularly the sails. Lego sails sometimes Have a tendency to fade, How do you keep yours in excellent condition? Quote
Landlubber Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 Welcome Aboard! I must say that is one very nice fleet you have there, Only the one sea Hawke/ Caribbean clipper? Still they all look in excellent condition, Particularly the sails. Lego sails sometimes Have a tendency to fade, How do you keep yours in excellent condition? Yeah, just the one clipper. They tend to go for a fair price. Wish I had a couple more though. Most of the ships I've aquired in the last couple of years. Some I got from my cousins collections ,some from ebay. Most I've paid for a SES was $130 AU. That one had every peice, every minifig and a perfect set of instructions. The other's came with minor peices missing and had usually been put in a strange category on ebay with a half assed description which I guess is why people missed it. Keep an Eye out in the MOC thread. I'll try and post up some pics of my land creations tonight. Quote
babyjawa Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Sorry for not posting here before, but welcome! This place is great... even though I've only been here for a few days. Nice Fleet you got there too. I wish I actually had a single ship. Anyways, I hope to see some MOCs by you soon. You got some nice pieces to work with! Ar... Quote
