Ricecracker Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 It's been a year now since I first proposed to Lasse D that we work together to create a Mercedes Actros car carrier, along with a Honda S2000 and Ford GT, as per this topic. Lasse built a Model Team version, while I tackled the minifig-scaled one. My goal was to include as many features and details that are on the Model Team scale version as possible, while Lasse aimed to build a motorized model. These are the results. The truck is a Mercedes Actros, the red car is a Honda S2000 and the white car is a Ford GT. Mercedes Actros Car Transporter by Ricecracker., on Flickr Though not quite as impressive as Lasse's 12 cars, mine can hold 8-9 when fully loaded. Ford GT-40 by Ricecracker., on Flickr Honda S2000 by Ricecracker., on Flickr Lasse's does seem like it would be fun to play with, but I must say mine isn't too boring itself. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Great auto-transport 'Ricecracker' and neat little 4 wides to go with it. Looks like the bed has a good deal of hinges to load a bunch of cars. Excellent job Quote
Hinckley Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Nice job, dude. You have a knack for creating realistic vehicles and packing in lots of detail. After seeing Lasse D's first it's cool to see how much of the detail still comes through in your minifig-scale version. You're really good at what you do. Every part seems in the right place here. Great work, Ricey! Thanks for sharing it with us. Quote
ACCURATEin Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Very nice work. My brother has a s2000. Fun car to drive! Quote
Lasse D Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 This is the first time I see your GT up close. You did a great job of adding shape to this little thing. Good job and well done. BTW. I did a 1:2 version of the Model Team version (which I can post later). My small car carrier makes it abundantly clear why Ricecracker's version is a real masterpiece. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 The cars are nice, but as always your trucks are highly impressive 'ricecracker' and this prime mover with trailer is almost at the top of your creations. Actually, to tell you the truth....your GT40 reminds me how Lego made cars in the late 70's with no driver at all ! Brick On Truck On 'ricecracker' ! Quote
