Omicron Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Sorry I didn't post this sooner, as I was at BrickFair at the time. Anyways just last week BrickForge updated the store with some brand spankin' new products, one of which has been highly anticipated for a while. One of the new molds is Transparent exclusive, and it is a wide array of bottles for your scientists or wizards (or even that drunk bum for your Town), a liquid spill for that wet floor, and a laser blade and beam for your space guys. They all currently come in Trans-Clear and a new color: Trans-Brown! The other particular mold is based on modern warfare, and it includes a tactical vest, an officer cap, a new helmet, and the long awaited ODS.... I mean Shock Trooper armor! This mold is currently available in Black and Steel, and some of them are also screenprinted for that extra awesomeness. Well I am tired from BrickFair, but BrickForge isn't. Check out the store because new items go quick! -Omi Edited August 8, 2011 by Omicron Quote
commdr_neyo Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 The new items are amazing, especialy the printed ones! They fit in really well with other Lego pieces, it's what I like most about BF Quote
SilentMode Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I stumbled on to BrickForge a couple of days ago just out of curiosity, and I have some of the new bottle parts and some test tubes on their way right now. Excellent call! Quote
Jargo Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I ordered some transparent loveliness a couple of days ago. I'm loving the broken bottle. I made a really girly squeal of delight when I spotted that. Much to my shame... Quote
Si-MOCs Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Looking sharp! I like the new shock trooper designs, even though I'm not familiar with the source material, they look great and would be a cool additional to any sci-fi armies. Quote
Omicron Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 I like the new shock trooper designs, even though I'm not familiar with the source material, They are mainly based on the ODST armor from the Halo series. -Omi Quote
Si-MOCs Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 They are mainly based on the ODST armor from the Halo series. -Omi hehe opps, Thanks Though I meant I never played the game so I'm not sure exactly how the shock troopers are suppose to look like, I knew they were from Halo But yeah, I think I'll get some anyways, they look pretty fantastic and would complement well against other custom parts there! so count me in. Pirate Pete Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I was also at brickfair, and got some new molds and parts... I got the black ODST shock trooper pack: black armor, helmet, military shield, megagun, battle rifle, bayonett, and a trans dark blue phaser, and plasma ray; Captain America Super Hero pack: stars and stripes battle shield, and knight shield, two dark tan ammo pouches, blue soldier helm with "A" printing, army green grease gun, and tan bandolier; Dark tan (currently unreleased color for this) Space Marine pack: Dark tan helm, armor, and vambraces, bronze visor, sand green battle rifle and megagun, and trans green energy blade; lastly, music pack: orange electric guitar, black acoustic with tribal print, white violin with black accents, steel mic, and army green drum sticks... gosh I just love brickforge, all this cost me around 30 USD, and thats all I brought. I would definitely suggest brickforge to anyone who wants to customize some minifigs, but doesnt want to do all the dirty work themselves. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted August 8, 2011 Eurobricks Emperor Posted August 8, 2011 Seems something is wrong with those pics as I only see a white background with text on it saying the pics are unavailable. Quote
AoNZ Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Yeah I can't seem to see the pictures at the moment either. Anyway I've seen the new items and they look fantastic and you're right about the fast sell out because some of that Shock Trooper gear has been selling quite fast. Also can't wait to see what more print designs they will come up with in the future. Quote
Omicron Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 Armothe re-uploaded over the old ones. Fixed the links. :P -Omi Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Armothe re-uploaded over the old ones. Fixed the links. :P Nice to see those new images are uploaded again! Looks like many more new exciting elements. I am pretty excited with those different kind of bottles especially the broken ones. Quote
Hoboman Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Placed an order and included some of the new stuff. Looking forward to receiving it. Good to see them doing such fun stuff. Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Ah shoot the grey armor was already sold out!!!! Quote
Miss Kyle Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Awesome, I just placed an order :) Can't wait for the little treasures to arrive! Quote
Aanchir Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I saw the spill piece in a vignette in the Steampunk section at Brickfair, depicting a bar scene. It looked amazing! All of the glass accessories by Brickforge, such as the martini glass and broken bottle, are very nice, and those two in particular aren't too likely to show up in official parts anytime soon, so I think they were a wise investment! I'm not too big a fan of the military and futuristic sci-fi parts by Brickforge and other customizers, but there's a big audience for that sort of stuff so I'm sure the shock troop armor will be popular. tedbeard Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I wonder why they made the officers hat? I love the printed version but is there really a large enough market for an accessory that LEGO already produces? Certainly it is more detailed but you can get the LEGO version (black) for us$.10 each in bulk. I guess BF sees a market that makes it worthwhile. Of course, given the amount of bottles and martini glasses I plan to order they will certainly be making money on the latest wave of new releases overall no matter how many hats they sell. Quote
Omicron Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 I wonder why they made the officers hat? Military mainly, and it will eventually be available in colors Lego does not offer for theirs. -Omi Quote
Swert Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Looks amazing, guys. I look forward to picking up Shock Trooper armor in the near future. Too bad we can't get Rec-Er, should we call it Survey? Quote
AoNZ Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Ah shoot the grey armor was already sold out!!!! Just a heads up they restocked about 2000 Shock Trooper helmets so there's plenty to go around now Quote
shmails Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I just got my order and the new items look awesome! I had a hand in working on these when they were in the development stage, and was very excited for each and every item. Once the spill comes out in red, blue, yellow, and orange, it will be an amazing piece that I think will be in many mocs. The martini glass is my favorite, but the broken bottle is close behind. Everyone who likes custom elements should grab a few of these, they are lots of fun! Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I might have to get some of those test tubes........ Quote
has a differing opinion Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Nice products! I like how they used the ADU inspector. Keep up the good work. Quote
tedbeard Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Military mainly, and it will eventually be available in colors Lego does not offer for theirs. Good point. The lack of certain colours is a nuisance. Quote
Cancerkitty Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I'm going to try to hold off until that spill is available in trans-red. It'll be tough though, there are some great items here. Quote
