I'll be happy to change my vote if you know of some more substantial evidence against someone else.

That's just the thing you ask for more evidence than what you have against me.

Ok, that guys wearing a hat.

You have zero evidence against me just like I have zero evidence against anyone else. None of us know anything at this point, so your vote vote me is in fact based on nothing.

The whole reason I was so gung ho on voting and the penalty is I was hoping it would prompt someone to share any info they might have. Not because I knew something, if I would have known the type of players I was dealing with, I would have said nothing all day, since I, in reality had nothing to contribute since I didn't have any facts to share.

Here let me tell you what I know for a fact. I'm town, I have no actions and I'm married to Irene. That's what I know for a fact.

You do realize that we have no evidence today, so any votes we cast are going to be 'uninformed', right? And no, I'm not voting for you because I'm scared of the penalty (whatever it may be), I'm voting for you because you're acting pretty scummy.

And yet you voted for me, informed move.

It's rather obvious we're not going to get evidence in the form of a cold hard fact. But that doesn't mean we're not going to have anything to vote on. This is Day One. On Day One, we have to vote based on behavior, and right now I find your behavior the most suspicious.

What?

Give it to me in detail, I've done nothing but mention that we should probably vote so we don't get penalized, but also that I realize finding someone to vote for will be near impossible.

Tell me how I did anything other than that?

Listen to Timur.

As I said, I myself have nothing to present against anyone. (and that is not an attempt to 'clear' myself of a 'stupid mistake'. I will take responsibility for my vote no matter what your allegiance is) Thus far, Timur's arguments have been the most convincing.

But you've already voted for Barbara.

Yes, and we get one unvote per day.

Wait. So if you have the most votes when you return, you're going to vote for yourself?

Where's the logic in that? If you're town, you should want the town to win and just by being a living town member would be helping to do that. If you're scum, I still don't see what you have to gain.

I assume the punishment, best case, is the loss of a vanilla townie, like Denis said, and that is best case. I am a vanilla townie, so I am assuring that we have the best case scenario. I'm afraid the penalty would be worse, or equal, so it's best to play it safe.

Well, to be honest all these other votes here and there have confused me, if were squabbling between ourselves like this on Day 1, I wonder what we will be doing in a few days time.

Anyway, I am going to stick to my vote, as I still don't trust Nika and have given reasons for that. I do hope we can reach a conviction in time though.

I know. Your choice of words implied that you hadn't cast a vote yet, but in retrospect, that was just useless nitpicking.

Wait a minute... What kind of logic is that? You want a conviction, yet you decide to stick to your vote (which is the only vote against Nika). How about helping us reach the conviction instead?

I only hope the rest of this town whom are apparently not scum since they haven't been talking are smart enough to remember who voted off an innocent townie with absolute zero reasoning.

I feel like a broken record, so I'm done defending myself, if I felt like thee was anyone out there hearing me, I'd keep it up, but the mindless mob has set their sites and I fear I'm done.

I will go and re read Timur's thoughts to see if I can make any sense of this, but I doubt it, since I've read it all before.

Good luck, you're off to a brilliant start.

I see Pandora's been reading this thread all day but not posting, better kill her for you know having done nothing wrong.

As if I was the only one voting for you and am single-handedly responsible if you are convicted.

Ok, so I went back and re read, looks like you are using Timur's points, but all he did was agree with Donil's point which was grasping at straws if nothing else. So you're an sheep, just sticking with the flock and not thinking for yourself, looks like I've been arguing with the wrong person, I should have gone to your puppet master Donil.

Sigh. :sadnew:

I never said you were, be careful.

I said I hope the town remembers who voted for me, which would include all voters.

No, I'm not. I simply have nothing of my own to present. You yourself claim that you know nothing. Why do I have to know something? If I don't have anything of my own, obviously I have to vote according to what someone else notices. I agree with Timur. What do you want me to do? Copy his statements and claim they're my own?

You said that right after quoting me and emphasizing a specific portion of my statement. If that was misinterpreted, sorry.

This day is drawing to a close soon and most of us seem to agree that trying to reach a conviction is the most sensible thing to do today (or at least the lesser evil). Also, as has been pointed out by many already, we have little, if anything, to go on and sadly face a pretty big chance of convicting an innocent member of this town.

Regarding the 'suspects' that have been raised so far: I have the feeling that the fight between Eugene and Nika was merely a silly quarrel that doesn't really tell us much (at this stage at least) about their allegiance. Then there are Petr, Benji, and Barbara. Petr has been acting pretty weirdly, culminating in the claim that he'd even vote for himself if that would give us a conviction today. :hmpf: However, he also has been mentioning a lot of names. And whereas I think it's pretty stupid to 'trust' certain people more than others on day 1, I also think a mobster wouldn't risk mentioning so many names on day 1.

Then it's down to Benji and Barbara. Both haven't been really helpful today, but then again: who has been able to help much today? Simply because Benji has so far collected the most votes and in the interest of reaching a conviction today, I will therefore

Vote: Benji (Big Cam)

No you don't, do you see me voting for you or Timur, or even Donil? No because even though they are falsy accusing me, I'm not retaliating since I have absolutely no reason to vote for them.

Like I said, sheep.

I guess "none of us is as dumb as all of us"

:hmpf: Just because I don't have anything of my own to present doesn't mean I'm voting based on nothing. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm voting for you because I agree with what Timur has said.

Okay, in the interest of hopefully managing to get a conviction today:

Unvote: Petr (Zepher).

Vote: Benji (Big Cam).

For the same reason, Unvote: Petr (Zephyr) and Vote: Benji (Big Cam). I'm still more suspicious of Petr, but it's better than a random penalty kill. (Assuming that's what it is.) And Benji's made himself partially suspicious. Let's just hope there's a few more votes before day's end.

It is logical, I want a conviction but I have said who I think deserves to be convicted and I will stand by that. I have made my vote thinking about our best intrests. The problem if even a problem, is that others dont follow me. This is fine and I respect this. But to say I am not helping reach a conviction is wrong. Remember who was the first to even make a vote. :sceptic:

As I mentioned earlier, the prospect of lynching is more appealing than that of being penalised, not only because of the penalty but also because not lynching leaves us with no more information than we already have. The evidence against Benji is as good or as bad as we can hope for on this first day, little more than a hunch but still a reasonable hunch. Considering the time left I doubt that there will be enough votes to reach a majority but at least we will have tried. And hopefully if there is a penalty the voters may be spared.

Vote: Benji (Big Cam).

I myself don't see much reason to vote for Benji, the stuff you have gathered seems to be very constructed in my eyes, so I'll stick with my vote for Barbara. Not that we have much more against her, but still, her behavior of posting few with low substance. The only game affecting statements I've heard so far from her were that she didn't want to reach a lynch, her defense, that she has nothing to tell, and, if you want to count it as game affecting, that drug thing, which might possibly be perpetuating distraction.

About Benji, I don't really see what makes him scummy. On the other hand, it's day one, so I wouldn't condemn anyone for convicting an innoncent. But I'd keep an eye on you, of course.

Thank you, bring this up tomorrow when it's revieled that I'm a Townie

Not everyone voting for you is a scum, not voting is not proof of anything. Unvote: Barbara (BobtheConstructionMan) Vote: Benji (Big Cam)

:sceptic:

I've worn that face the entire day, and I don't think it will change before the day ends. At this point we can't be even close to sure about anything, and doing the best with what we have seems like the best choice. With what Donil and others have said, and in the interest of not being a member of the so-called "punishable" group, I

Vote: Benji (Big Cam)

I don't seem to recall God ever saying anything about a penalty vote, and it may be just a rumor.

I think it's pretty funny how people say we can learn things from the vote, but most people are just voting as part of a herd.

I actually thought Petr looked suspicious (for the three or four reasons I gave) so I voted him. Benji is acting like the majority of others here (ie. "We have to vote, we learn from votes, there is a penalty, I'm waiting to vote.")

Even if Benji is convicted, I think we'll have learned nothing from today's vote, other than that people don't seem to need a reason to vote someone out except than a looming penalty. Color me frustrated.

Benji, I hope you're scum and I'm wrong, then I can eat my humble pie and apologize to everyone tomorrow.

To the rest of the town, sorry, I can't vote for someone who isn't the guiltiest looking, and Benji is not it.

Since I may not be able to log on raise my voice later on, I will proxy: Nika (CorneliusMurdock)

I do this because I like how she did not rush into anything even when she was the recipient of the first vote, she seems to have kept a cool head.
