Skinny Boy Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I think These are some of the first pics of the new Calender Advent Looks Good Quote
Hobbes Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Very nice! I already liked last year's (the first I bought) and this year's looks like another sure buy *sweet* Quote
alex54 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Yes it looks good! A very good way to have some cool aditiv parts for town fans! I had the 2005 one, and it was exited to open a box each day! Quote
takuto20 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Yes I will buy two: One for immediate playing, another one for my sister and the enjoyment of the day by day surprises!!! :-) Quote
phoinix Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 there is not one single female on the front of the box!!! *wacko* what is this male-christmas? are all the women at home baking? |-/ Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I think those event calendar represent the Ultimate MF pack *wub* !! First they finish the year city's theme perfectly, thus making the perfect transition to the january sets ;-) They have "classic" Mfs, and each MF has brilliant equipment, that fits in any city !! Last year I got two and i will definitly buy two of those babies !! I really can't wait for these sets to hit retail stores ;-) I hope they'll be the same price as last year: 19.99 Quote
highlandcattle Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Looks awesome but a bit to expensive perhaps!! Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Here is my review from last year's Advent Calendar and I can tell you that the prce is not too steep at all !! 20 Quote
Hobbes Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Here is my review from last year's Advent Calendar Yeah, I remember not reading it until December 24 cos I didn't want to spoil my fun opening a window everyday. I ordered the calendar in October and had it lying around until December. Man, that was hard ;-) Quote
alex54 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Yeah, I remember not reading it until December 24 cos I didn't want to spoil my fun opening a window everyday. I ordered the calendar in October and had it lying around until December. Man, that was hard ;-) Yes it is hard to let the calendar until the D day, but I didn't resist to see what the elemnts are on the net :-$ ! I will try not to do this year, yes I can do it! Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 He he, its one of the advantages of beeing an atheist :-D :-P Will you 2 resist the pic temptation this year ?? Hum, you will "suffer" heavy temptation let me assure you :-D Seriously, not a problem !! Just make sure to buy it early (and I am not joking here). Last year's supply was gone really fast !! To give you an idea it was as fast as the USB *wacko* *yoda* Quote
Aredhel Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 This looks really great again. But this year I will try to get it earlier!!! Quote
Hobbes Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 He he, its one of the advantages of beeing an atheist :-D :-P So am I actually, but I saw it as opening a "set" every day until christmas (and then opening some more sets) :-) Will you 2 resist the pic temptation this year ?? Hum, you will "suffer" heavy temptation let me assure you :-D I will - and I know. But I'm "experienced" now ;-) Seriously, not a problem !! Just make sure to buy it early (and I am not joking here). Last year's supply was gone really fast !! To give you an idea it was as fast as the USB *wacko* As soon as it's available. Last year I ordered in on September 20 (just checked my order history on S@H, and it even was only Quote
Skinny Boy Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 I hope they'll be the same price as last year: 19.99 Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Okie, so either my memory is defficient on the pricing, or TRU is a ripp-off :-P Since TRU follow the SAH prices, I guess my memory is defficient then :-D *yoda* Quote
alex54 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 He he, its one of the advantages of beeing an atheist :-D :-P I'm too (well not totaly, but it is like I was...) It's just that it is a very good time when you open the small door and discover the miniset...(I knew what they are but not when they came the last year). I like the fact that I resist not to built all in one time, I like to have a selfcontrol, that gives a more exited experience with this calandar... Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Its funny actually, I can have some fantastic self control (quit smoking, diet without alcohool-lost 9 kilos and counting...) but for other things its just impossible (when I smoked I could limit my quantity of cigs, cannot have small unopened windows on an advent !!) Okie so all you guys out there open a window a day so I can be the first to post a review then :-D *yoda* Quote

Have you already this calandar? I hope I havn't been violating some law at Eurobricks or anything, but ehh. Those aren't my pics. I just saw them on Brickshelf and put a link to it here. So I guess I owe A LOT of credit to, UHAUHA . They were his pics not mine. I looked at the pics because I probably won't be getting it this year. Now, I have to get it. Close if you must (I think that just means no more posts) But for all those who DEFFINETLY wont be getting it. Have a long look. Quote
Hobbes Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Closing won't help cos the link in the post would stay (unless it'd be edited out). And we're old enough to know what we do and where we click ;-) Quote
