So the new sets have finally arrived. We are building them, modding them, enjoying them, etc. But of course we are curious about what TLG will release in 2012.

Normally when are the first "unofficial" pictures or description available for the 1H sets? Or for the 2H sets for that matter.

When were the first pictures of the Supercar available last year or the first signs of the Unimog.

Last year, the 1H2011 pictures started leaking around the first two weeks of September. Some toy vendor gets a catalog with the preliminary images, and posts them somewhere on the internet for ~1 day before The Lego Group sweeps down and forces the image(s) to be "taken down". You'll have to look fast. The first pictures are grainy and obscured by writing or "watermarks", so they lead to more questions than answers.

Thanks for the insight. That's what I remember from last year's (actually this year's) supercar. I don't mind the grainy pictures. I just love the suspense, the leaking, the questions, etc default_satisfied.gif

I really hope we will get a flagship (or supercar sized model) without treads or wheels. That would be a welcome surprise! (helicopter, plane, some contraption, hovercraft, whatever)

I hope we´ll get studded flagship fully remote controlled.

Studded is well gone lol bit early for this tread but sure hey we can all look forward to something new,Alsos 1h stuff doesn't interest me as it seems more focused on the younger age group with small manually operated models.

I wanted to change the title to lose the 1H part, so it would be 2012 model in general. But hey, first things first default_laugh_new.gif

The Supercar in Q1 of 2011 was a nice model (imho). I hope to see a new 1000+ parts model in Q1 of 2012.

I for one, am not a big fan of studded, so I am not too displeased with the fact that less and less models are studded. In fact, that it's a dying breed, if not dead already.

I don't think that we'll be seeing too many studded technic models in the future.

Agreed! Can't think of a single reason why TLG would do that.
