Housey98 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Just to let everyone in the UK know, Smyths has all the new sets, spinners and booster listed on their website! However, it seems if you attempt to check stock, they're all unavailable. Quote
surrideo Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Just to let everyone in the UK know, Smyths has all the new sets, spinners and booster listed on their website! However, it seems if you attempt to check stock, they're all unavailable. They may have them in store. John Lewis have them in store, not priced up and no mention on their normally excellent website. Didnt have all the Booster packs though just annoying Lloyd, who I'll get in the Rattlecopter, prob tomorrow Quote
Suspsy Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 That wrecking ball is fantastic! An excellent feat of engineering indeed! Quote
surrideo Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Just finished making the Venorami shrine with my kids. For anyone else who has a new set. Did they find placing the sword into the Pauldron extremely difficult?. It appears to be the opposite problem to the holders that came with the PoP sets. Quote
refriedbeans Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I absolutely love the crane! One of the best Ninjago sets so far! Quote
Flipz Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Just finished making the Venorami shrine with my kids. For anyone else who has a new set. Did they find placing the sword into the Pauldron extremely difficult?. It appears to be the opposite problem to the holders that came with the PoP sets. Just a little tough, but in all honesty I prefer them staying secure rather than falling out like they did in PoP. It's not TOO hard, I find it a small price to pay for the piece to actually work. Has no one else realized that a Technic pin (not the + axles, the pins, like what they use to attach wheels to stuff) will snap into the hole in the back? (Well, as long as it's not blocked off by the swords.) Quote

Ceroknight Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 That wrecking ball crane has to be one of the best vehicles for this line! Thank you for the pictures! Quote
Flipz Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 nope. because it don't. Fail. I should have tried it out before posting about it like an idiot. In other news, is anyone else gonna pick up the Collectible Series 6 "Sleepyhead" minifigure just to use the hair for Kai? I must admit, it's closer than any other hairpiece available... Quote

In other news, is anyone else gonna pick up the Collectible Series 6 "Sleepyhead" minifigure just to use the hair for Kai? I must admit, it's closer than any other hairpiece available... 1x1 rounds (plate, brick, cone) fit snug in it though! (in other words, the outer diameter of the "stud and tube" tube ) Edit: Oh yeah, more good part geometry: this piece has a minifig grip at the base right next to the technic hole Edited December 15, 2011 by SpiderSpaceman Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 What a lovely lift-arm on the wrecking ball crane. I can see a need for many of them for my Mount Justice/Batcave (I still cant decide on which to build ). Quote

I can see a need for many of them for my Mount Justice/Batcave (I still cant decide on which to build ). I've seen a bunch of Batcave's and never a Mount Justice. Build Mount Justice. That'll be cool. Quote
Delta 38 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Hot damn, this link is full of awesome. Wow, that's interesting. I think the version in the show was greener, this toned-down version looks great though. I might skip it this time, but it's a nice set. Quote
prateek Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I'm really liking how those snake heads on the vehicles are designed. Looks like an MOC, not an official set. We'll just have to wait and see if the little kiddies are up to the challenge of building these heads. Quote
Derek Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Hahah these new sets confirm it for me: Ninjago is the most ridiculous theme ever released by Lego. And it is fantastic. Quote
Lyichir Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I'm really liking how those snake heads on the vehicles are designed. Looks like an MOC, not an official set. We'll just have to wait and see if the little kiddies are up to the challenge of building these heads. The heads, while great looking, are still remarkably simple to build. And I've noticed that the smallest of the snake vehicles, the Rattlecopter, has a simpler head design. So I don't think kids'll have a harder problem building these than they would with other sets at a similar price point. Quote
legodac Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Now that's extreme, though the theme is cool, I would only buy this set for 3 reasons, the black crane, the ball and the tracks, awesome new pieces as well, that's 4 Quote
Fun Assembly Required Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Just finished making the Venorami shrine with my kids. For anyone else who has a new set. Did they find placing the sword into the Pauldron extremely difficult?. It appears to be the opposite problem to the holders that came with the PoP sets. I had the same problem, Surrideo. I actually bent one of the swords in half trying to get it in there... Ah well, battle damage for a MOC I suppose Quote
DashCobra Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 XmasToys (the guy who was uploaded 3 of the Ninjago episodes on Youtube) is apparently releasing the rest of the episodes slowly one by one to generate "buzz" Quote
ghostmind Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 XmasToys (the guy who was uploaded 3 of the Ninjago episodes on Youtube) is apparently releasing the rest of the episodes slowly one by one to generate "buzz" XmasToys is being coy about things (like the Green Ninja) because he doesn't know. In Canada a few weeks ago, they ran the first 5 episodes of the new season, but only on an SD channel (hence his 4x3 dubs). The dude is breaking each episode into halves, so potentially he can milk this for 10 "episodes". Quote

just2good Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 LegoPictureHQ has released a video showing the new Ninjago sets. I have to say, the set with the giant robot looks nice. Quote
Ceroknight Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Thanks for sharing! The multiple headed dragon is the only thing that attract me however... Quote
vexorian Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Video submitter says there will be another NinjaGo (and SW) video later. Quote
