I've bought today a "snake mech" and it doesn't appear in the current catalogue.

Is it an exclusive or a special edition?

Does anyone else think that Jay's Parents and some of the generic townsfolk should be released in a VIP set?

I would happily buy the junk car and Jay's parents. The moment I saw them, I knew I wanted them as a set! That junk car is just soo cool. I'm thinking of trying to make a MOC, but I need to find some good still shots of the car from different angles. If anyone has any, could you post them?

After scouring the web, I've found some descriptions for all four summer sets.

Lasha's Bite Cycle:

At the blacksmith shop, Cole is examining one of the long-lost fang blades, when suddenly Lasha, a Venomari tribe scout, zooms by on his ferocious Bite Cycle. Help Cole dodge the Bite Cycle's whipping tail and dead ly missile attack! Then stop Lasha from escaping with the fang blade! Includes 2 LEGO minifigures: Cole ZX and Lasha, Lasha's Bite Cycle, blacksmith forge, Venomari fang blade with green anti-venom capsule, golden weapon and 5 regular weapons.

Samurai Mech:

Samurai X is on board the mighty Samurai Mech when she locates the Constrictai fang blade and closes in to claim it! Can scout Snike and warrior Bytar stop it with a catapult ambush? Or will the Samurai Mech's massive bl ade, shoulder cannon shooter and bladed grabbers overcome the Constrictai snakes? Includes 3 minifigures: Samurai X, Snike and Bytar, Samurai Mech, catapult, Constrictai fang blade with orange anti-venom capsule and weapon.

Ultra Sonic Raider:

In the amazing Ultra Sonic Raider, the Spinjitzu masters spot supreme leader Pythor and his protector Spitta, soldier of the Venomari tribe, taking off with the Fangpyre fang blade. Chase them across everything wit h the all-terrain tracks or detach the flying vehicle, extend the golden blade wings and take the battle to the skies! If all else fails, crank up the huge speaker cannons and tame the snakes with some ancient snake music. Don't let them get away! I ncludes 6 minifigures: Cole ZX, Jay ZX, Kai ZX, Zane ZX, Pythor and Spitta. Set includes Ultra Sonic Raider, Fangpyre fang blade with red anti-venom capsule, 4 golden weapons and 5 regular weapons.

Epic Dragon Battle (if the Ultra Sonic Raider didn't exist, they could've called it "Ultra Dragon Battle", which sounds much less cheesy in my opinion. ):

I was searching the web for more info, and I saw some guy uploaded some new Hero Factory pictures. He noted that Lasha's Bite Cycle looks "boxy"

Well, firstly, I am simply going to ignore Hamleys' inflated prices, as I'm sure the actual retail price will be less.

Secondly, I find it quite odd that these sets are including the ZX Ninjas, as opposed to NRG ones in the spinner sets.

Surely there must be a mistake here or something?

I'm all for more unique minifigs in the sets. With the 2011 sets, I ended up with 4 of original Jay.

Keeping all the names straight for the 17 characters in the snake tribes will be fun though.

No clue if this has been discussed yet, but I believe Lloyd is going to be the green ninja. I couldnt find the set pictures anywhere on EB for summer 2012 so I searched it up and got a YouTube link. Half way in the video I noticed as the slide transition into the green ninjago battle pack it said Lloyd DX.

If you zoom in on the ninja, it is the green ninja even though the color is horrible, but you can tell with the opening in the robes around the neck.

Don't know if this has been discussed, but as far as the animals that appear on the ninjas clothes, I cannot decipher between Zane and Kai's animals. Are they both lions or is one supposed to be a tiger, also what is Cole's, a mole?

I think it was a misspelling of Lloyd. Many things from the show (scroll, Zane's dream) suggest that Lord is still evil.

I don't think so; it mentions Lloyd separately (as both Lloyd ZX and "the green ninja"), plus LORD Garmadon is clearly holding the four golden weapons on the packaging of the Epic Dragon Battle.

Wow, those summer sets are going to be expensive, but hopefully very cool. Nice to see all four of the ZX ninja together in one set, though I would have expected it more in the dragon one. I am surprised that none of NRG are in any sets, only spinners.

33 minifigures is a lot, but Ninjago is a lot! lol! I'm going to be so broke this year with Super Heroes, Ninjago, Monster Hunters and Lord of the Rings...not to mention all the Collectible Minifigures. There are times I wish I hadn't liked Ninjago, but I do and I'm in it all the way because of my completist nature. I can only hope that LEGO supports the 2012 Ninjago sets all year so I have plenty of time to pick everything up.

It's just that here in Germany, special editions normaly appear in Toys'R'us only until now.

So far all three Ninjago specials (Nuckal's ATV, Thunder Dragon and Snake Walker)

I never thought the medallions were meant to have a 1:1 relationship with real-world animals. I figured they were just stylistic representations of the elements the Ninja embodied.

For instance, a lot of people feel Jay's medallion looks like an octopus or squid, but I feel it seems more like just a thundercloud. If not that, a jellyfish perhaps-- at least that has the "stinging" characteristic that could be an analogy for lightning powers.

Kai's and Zane's are definitely both based (at least in part) on big cats of some kind, but other than that I see no definite connections to real-world animals.

The one we know of will be a ZX form, and those have the emblems on the back, so if they're going to give him one then that regular Lloyd ZX minifigure should have it.

Or the Anacondrai fang-blade for that matter?

I suppose Pythor could've eaten them while he was imprisoned, but I dunno...

BTW, I think this sort of thing would be perfect for LEGO VIP.
