Thanks, Bricksandparts! :classic:

Well, I guess that clears things a little on the Anacondrai staff; it does exist. It's just that LEGO have not made it (and somehow, I doubt they ever will, since there are very few links between the storyline of the show and the "simplified" version of the actual sets).

I'm still a bit confused though. Firstly, why are we only seeing the Anacondrai staff now? Why not back when Pythor was first introduced? Secondly, there are 5 staffs, but yet only 4 fang-blades.

Bluebeard, out-

I think the reason Pythor never was shown with a staff before is that its symbolic purpose (designating a leader) was never needed previously, since he didn't have anyone to lead until the tribes were united. Now that there is both that symbolic importance and a practical importance to the plot of the episode (releasing anti-venom), the animators chose to include it.

Pythor is still the character we know the least about, despite his important role in the show. He has no bio on LEGO.com, and as such we know hardly anything about him or his tribe that wasn't stated in the show. Is ravenous hunger in fact a general Anacondrai trait? What function does the anti-venom in their staff serve? They don't even have any emblem as far as we know (since the staffs in the show don't feature a Serpentine emblem on them).

It could be. After all, they did resort to cannibalism, and Pythor, being the general, possibly either had more willpower than his underlings or, more likely, was strong enough to defend himself.

Actually, if you look closely, the Hypnobrai emblem is faintly visible on the jewel in the staff. Same went for Fangpyre during the episode with Jay's parents. I haven't gotten a good look at the other two tribes' staffs, but I assume the same holds true for them; however, Pythor's staff distinctly did NOT have a logo of any sort.

And maybe the Anacondrai antivenom makes the snake spit up anything it's swallowed?[/pure speculation]

Well, I bought a Slithraa keychain today, and I can say: Goodbye, Monster Fighters & Lord of the Rings, Hello Ninjago!

I just :wub_drool: the snakes, especially the generals, and especially Skales and Skalidor.

Baby Sensei Wu and Garmadon, so cute!

But I didn't like that Garmadon was biten, that was a big stretch but at least that explains how his eyes turned red...

And what a Bionicle is doing in this movie?!

The fact that Zane is a robot is impresive, but I really don't know what to think about it. I wonder what this brings in next episodes.

And If Zane had his clotes, how he could open his jest like that, with his clotes? Haha

Zane song...wtf?

I want these Tree ATATs as set!

Zane memories scene, even if clitched, still gets me, great piece of music :)

Did Zane just freezed a living creature?! That's so wrong!

By now the only thing I really don't like about this series is how unLegoish it is, it needs more bricks and Lego jokes!

Sorry that my post is so messy, I was writing it when I was watching episode.

That was my conclusion as well upon discovering the evil minifig distribution and the prices of the sets. Hopefully the first wave sets will see some discounts by the time the summer wave rolls around...

The un-LEGOness of the episodes sort of bothers me too, but on the other hand it allows for more artistic license when building things from the show. When I was a BIONICLE fan I always wanted to build things from the Mata Nui Online Game, but was often thwarted thanks to the game showing somewhat clearly what parts things were made of, and them often being parts that didn't exist in any good colors. The art-style of the Ninjago TV series keeps a smooth, LEGO-esque aesthetic without explicitly showing how anything is built, which allows far more freedom for MOCing. I've tried my hand at Ed & Edna's jalopy, and am planning to attempt to build a Treehorn.

I would like to try my hand at building the Ouroboros Bus. Y'know, because who wouldn't want bus that looks like a snake.

Wow. Just wow. I haven't seen such a good theme since Bionicle! I really love it :3! Me and my sister :P The last episode was brilliant but the fact there is too less Loyd makes me sad :< Loyd is one of the best characters to me. I would like to say that in 8 episode which is avaliable on YT in Korean version, Jay will have the same problem as young Garmadon perhaps. We can see that he is

mutating like his parents.

I don't know which of the snakes

has bit him.

Well, I was reading about the TV show somewhere and it said that

Jay will become the Green Ninja.

Opinons?

Impossible. TLG confirmed that it's ***** already.

Since the Green Ninja set is called Lloyd ZX, the Green Ninja has Lloyd's eyebrows, and the Green Ninja and Jay appear together in set 9450 Epic Dragon Battle, I have doubts about your source's credibility.

The only piece of evidence for Jay being the Green Ninja is that in Zane's dream in episode 5, "Never Trust a Snake", the Green Ninja wielded the Nunchucks of Lightning. As one of the Ninja commented to Jay after hearing the dream discussed, "anyone can wield nunchucks". During this same dream sequence, Zane's falcon perched on his shoulder, he exhibited Cole's incredible strength, and he summoned a fireball from his hand. If there was any genuine meaning to the dream, and we don't know that there was, it would be that the Green Ninja would exhibit traits of all four Ninja, and none of the traits demonstrated even came close to confirming the Green Ninja's identity.

In episode 8 Jay is going to be scratched by...

a Serpentine's teeth from the skeleton body. That will cause his mutation. And that's why this episode is "One bitten, twice shy".

Episode 7 comments:

Pros:

* Nice back-ground story from Sensei Wu

* Overall a pretty good episode, much more previous story known

* Very good music

* Zane's early life was a nice touch, but kinda sad

* Story-line went well, overall plot nice, and parts were funny

Cons:

* First use of the venom from the staffs except when curing Jay's parents

* Pythor mysteriously gets a staff?

* When following the falcon, they never used their weapon's vehicles (this was to get Zane all alone for story purposes, but they could've found another way)

* Zane's true potential only seemed to show off by randomly throwing the shuriken, and floating into the sky, only then did he actually freeze his opponent.

Questions:

* Has Sensei Wu found his true potential?

* Is Lord Garmadon going to turn good again?

2 reasons

1. Falcon is not as fast

2. They didn't know when the falcon will stop

EDIT: I heard that on naver.com are avaliable all Ninjago episodes for this half! Gosh...

Guys, can we PLEASE not share spoilers for episodes that have not aired in the US? Thank you. (Spoilers that come from the sets themselves are a different matter, but should still be used only sparingly.)

What about a warning of what episode it is referring to. Then we are both happy.

The venom (or rather, anti-venom) was also used to cure the people of Jamanakai Village of the hypnosis of the Hypnobrai. And as my brother pointed out elsewhere, the reason we probably had never seen Pythor's staff before was because prior to this episode, he had no one to lead. Now that he's in charge of all four tribes, he needs to carry a symbol of his office. And finally, I reckon we'll see more fancy NRG powers as time goes on. This is the first time Zane's gone into that state at all, so I reckon he won't master these new skills until he's had some practice.

But yeah, I hadn't thought about the fact that the ninja could've used their vehicles to chase the falcon. I think that is, as you said, simply because the plot called for them to get tired out.

The reason for not using the vehicles could also have to do with the treacherous terrain (like the log bridge, the mountain they had to climb, etc.), although that is a somewhat poor excuse as the vehicles have been used on other treacherous terrain and even in the air in previous episodes. Still, I imagine that's the reason they were going for seeing as they bothered to show those obstacles in the first place.

Can't download it. :cry_sad: Is it on Youtube?

It is... RuTube. Russian version of YT. And I don't know what the Polish version is doing on it. Perhaps someone wanted to skip some piracy policies. But in this episode...

Jay reaches full potential.
