Oky Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 A confirmation? It's not even an implication. We don't even know why it made him smile. He might just find the concept of Pirates vs. Ninjas amusing, whether because he likes it or because he thinks it's as ridiculous as it sounds. In the latter case, it could actually mean that we wont get it. Quote
MakutaNocturn Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I was on CUUSOO last night, looking at random projects, and I came across this one: Ninjago: Pirates VS. Ninja I looked at the comments, and I saw one by timcourtney, who is part of the CUUSOO staff. He said: LOL. This one put a smile on my face this afternoon. :-) Could this be some confirmation that next year's villains are pirates? -Sci I was confused when I read your message. Is there a more random project than Lego MLP? XDD BTW: I think that we could see Pirates in the next year. Lego Staff is not writing posts in all projects... especially in this with small number of supporters. It's rather strange situation. On the other hand, this guy is like a normal user, he uploads his projects, posts messages etc. Of course he is controlling the site. But I don't think that he has got a view on next year sets. Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 And as far as I can see, there are no female Serpentine. A few days ago, I was mixing up my Ninjago minifigures, and if you put Rattla's head and hood on Skales's torso and tail, to me, it looks like a female Serpentine... Quote

Huh. Cool. I'll have to try that sometime, even thought I don't have Skales. Quote

just2good Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) Someone on YouTube got some of the NRG figures. He claims to have got them from eBay. The figures look amazing up close! I hope these will be released in some kind of cheap set or polybag. Edited March 29, 2012 by just2good Quote

I hope these will be released in some kind of cheap set or polybag. I'd be very pleased to find each of these in a $10 set just so I don't have to bother with the spinners and can actually get REAL bricks with them. That said, if the price for a "set" version was more than $10, then I'd just get the spinners. Quote
The_Box Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 oh man, that kid's camera work was nauseating. Just put the figures and camera on a table and stop moving around as much. Now onto the figures themselves: NRG Cole: From the pictures and videos from toy fair it seemed like Cole was going to have a transparent head. That could have been because of the "glowing" eyes. So that was just my mistake. The fiery, earth tones throughout the design are a nice touch. NRG Kai: The only thing that saves Kai from being just a plain red mini with nice head gear is the gold accents. Since he was supposedly the poster children for the 1st and 2nd waves (2011), you'd think Lego wouldn't make is "final" form so boring. NRG Jay: Same issue as Kai. the golden lightning motif is what saves him. [Not in video] NRG Zane: The light, powder blue color scheme is a welcomed addition yet it will look weird lining up all the NRG figures together and there being 2 blue characters when Lego had so many other colors to choose from. georgebjones Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) Egad, the youtube generation sure makes for awful, terrible videos. Is that a seasickness app on his phone camera? It is nice that the information is shared, though. Edited March 29, 2012 by georgebjones Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) Regarding to the sets, do we know if any of the sets will have Pythor's staff? I'm really wondering what the Anacondrai symbol looks like. Edited March 30, 2012 by Mr_Malfoy Quote

None in the sets announced so far. If they decide to put it in some kind of promo set event, I expect violence. Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 None in the sets announced so far. If they decide to put it in some kind of promo set event, I expect violence. Yes, I can see the headlines now: "Hundreds Arrested in LEGO Stores Across US Over Exclusive 'Ninjago' Snake Staff!" Quote

Drilll Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 While that fake situation is funny, I'm not even sure it would come out as a promo set. Pythor has no symbol, (we don't even know what he has anti-venom for) so a simple solution would be to wait for a trans-purple flat stud and put it on any snake staff. I just hope it won't take a few years for them to release that piece... Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Technically, it isn't a symbol, but I think that if Pythor does have a symbol, it's reminsant of that blue circle on his chest. I doubt it, and it's possible that we'll never know, but just a guess. Quote
Flipz Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 (edited) Well, staring obsessively at his staff, I can conclusively say that it has no symbol. Ooh! Fridge brilliance! The Anacondrai power is to become invisible...and their symbol has that power as well! Seriously, though, the antivenom would allow the user to see the Anacondrai even when they're invisible. Since I doubt that'll come up in the show (since we all know the Great Devourer's gonna be summoned in the end, which means Pythor's little scheme will have to be successful, which means his invisiblity tricks must always work), in TLG's mind there's no need to address it in the sets, therefore: no Anacondrai symbol or staff. You were studying the staff in the show? Hate to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure none of the staffs in the show have the symbols on them. As for what his staff does, my best guess is that the anti-venom "cures" the Anacondrai's voracious appetite and makes them vomit up anyone they've eaten. Of course, none of that explains why between the five tribes there are only four fang blades. Quote
Drilll Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) Actually, you can see the symbols on the staffs (and I'm not even watching it in HD). If you look really close you can see it too. Edited April 1, 2012 by Drilll Quote
