thanks ;) that face is fantastic (and so Drow:))))

could you do one real macro closeup of the face?:)

...three? I know only the fire one (red) and the lighting one (blue)... what is the third one? (and picture, info, all is welcomed:)

It is quite Drow (I check the GoH forum), and thanks to this task I realize my camera is AMAZING at taking detailed pictures. However the pic shall be delayed momentarily due to my need of a separate website to store my images.

Also, NRG Zane is the third. He's due for a September release alongside Lloyd ZX and Slitheraa spinners, and Lizaru and Bytar booster packs.

You shouldn't have to worry about printing it - there is no anacondrai symbol! I'm not sure why Lego even put an anacondrai staff in the movie. There dosen't really seem to be much reason for doing so. It is great that all the sets with 1x1 round tiles come with an extra one. That way I can trade one to my brother for one I'm missing!

Actually, there is. The symbols on all of the staffs are hard to make out in the show (since instead of colored printing they're engraved into the "jewels" on the staffs), but you can see them vaguely in close-up shots. The Anacondrai symbol resembles the gem on Pythor's head and chest. It wouldn't be perfect, but I could probably reverse engineer a printed version of said symbol. The problem would be printing on such a small and specialized piece. I know there are people who can custom-print LEGO parts for you, but I don't know whether they could do that part, especially since it's not technically official LEGO.

Two word: stickers/decals.

One problem with stickers is that it is difficult to leave "empty space" in the center for the transparent color to show through, as is present on some (not all) of the Serpentine emblem parts. Likewise decals pose a similar challenge, since with a conventional printer it's not possible to print white on a transparent decal. The color white is present on all of the Serpentine emblems, as well as a small part of Pythor's chest pattern, although we'd likely want to simplify Pythor's chest emblem to a two- or three-color graphical pattern like the other emblems so it wouldn't likely stay exactly the same.

A sticker or decal with an emblem pattern on a black background like the Constrictai or Fangpyre emblems is likely the simplest course of action.

Hmm. . . I didn't see that but your probably right. Still, it doesn't really seem to matter that much since Pythor never really does anything important with his staff (plus there is no anacondrai fagblade). So personnally, Im still not worried about it

Personnally, I'm about 99% sure next year is pirates.

My Lego order containing the Ultra Sonic Raider and NRG Jay arrived today!

NRG Jay is

The Raider is even more

I changed Pythor's arms to purple as soon as the set was built :classic:

It's too bad to see Ninjago go. Their sets and minifigures were just starting to get interesting.

It's not over yet; we're getting at least one more wave next year, possibly with more to come. The news of its death has been greatly exaggerated.

Ninjago's end is only a rumor that has been greatly exagerated. Ninjago is doing better than Star Wars.

The only reason it's saying that it's ending next year, is people writing down fake articles and lies, only because they don't like the theme. I think it's too early to start disscussing a replacement.

To be honest, I think the spokesman at AFOL-Con got mistaken, or he means Hero Factory (sales aren't doing very well).

I'd love nothing more than to put the thought of Ninjago out of my mind.

If it does happen, complaints to TLG are going to be made :hmpf_bad:

That's actually not true-- no lies or fake articles had anything to do with the rumors of it ending.

The real reason for the talk of it ending is that at the LEGO convention "Bricks Cascade" in the western United States, Kevin Hinkle (TLG's Community Coordinator for North America) actually said 2012 was Ninjago's final year.

After the fact, he received a lot of e-mails and personal messages, and he clarified that he was misinformed. The response he sent out to those people who contacted him can be seen here.

I appreciate the note and your questions. Let me provide a bit of clearity. Unfortuntely, it was a slight miscommunication on my part. Things are constantly changing and evolving in our business and my last report had shown Ninjago ending at 2012. I did a bit of research after receiving so many follow up questions at the event and now via email (and PMs) and can confirm that it will still be on the shelves in 2013. However, there are no plans beyond that. Of course, that, like anything in our buisiness can change. The line has truly been successfull, but we want to be very careful to exit the theme at the right time as to not fall into the state where the products are no longer as popular and discounts have to be made to move inventory. I hope this helps, and I appreciate your support of both the LEGO Brand and our Ninjago theme.

So yes, Ninjago will be continuing in 2013, but at the same time, there are no plans at this time to continue it any further. However, Kevin Hinkle assured Bricks Cascade attendees that the theme in the works to succeed Ninjago will be so good, it will make us wonder why Ninjago wasn't ended sooner.

Of course, tastes are always bound to differ and some people may prefer Ninjago to its successor, but three years is a good run for a story with a beginning, a middle, and an end, and I am grateful that we will (presumably) see the Ninjago story conclude in Season 3 of the TV series and in the 2013 sets.

Here is a video by BrickShowTV from YouTube explaining everything you just said. Ninjago will get "1" more wave in 2013 and that's it.

It sure has. Some people are acting like it's going to end Next week! After all, we've still got a whole year left - and possibly even more.

Really? - just one more wave in 2013? (in Jaunuary, presumably?) No March (this year it was two spinners), no June/summer, and no september? :sceptic:

That almost makes it seem like ninjago will end at the end of this year (no pirates next year - or anything else, for that matter). But than the article says that there will be a new series (pirates, presumably).

Well, I picked up Kai's Blade Cycle. Pretty fun little set. Plus it comes with Rattla, who is a Hypnobrai, which is my favorite snake tribe.

I also never realized how cool the new Ninja shoulder armor piece was. Looks great with both swords stored.

I wouldn't take TheBrickShow's word on it. I'm pretty sure the designer said it will have at least one wave.

They must really have faith in the new theme seeing as they are ending their 2. most successfull theme. Really excited to see what it will be.

Yes it's a little suspiscious to see how eager TLG is to roll in the new theme.

My guess:

A: Clutch Powers:

Will have a toyline, and a TV series (It was pretty much confirmed a new TV series is on the way)

B: Secret Agents:

Same as above, maybe a game similar to Spinjitzu. Or maybe the Agents Turbocar Approach, with a ID card, only you put YOUR name, and each set has an individual star sticker, and you place it on the card

Back on to Ninjago: Do any other NRG figs have the metalic printing? NRG Jay certainly does and he looks great!

Expecting the Samurai Mech any day now (should be today actually). Also, has anyone noticed how expensive it is to build a sizeable Constrictai/Venomari army? Untill the Bytar Booster Pack comes out, don't try. I may just get jealous

I just remembered another possibility for the replacement theme. There's a Warner Brothers Lego live action/CGI film due for release in 2014. I know it's kinda unlikely because the movie's got live action as well as CGI but they might make sets based on it. My other guess is the new Arctic Theme that's supposed to be released.

A. I don't think we will see more of Clutch Powers, as I'm pretty sure the movie didn't sell to well, and they can't really make a main theme out of it (a lot of the movie was them going to different themes) :look:

B. Plausible.

C. I think the replacement theme will have something to do with mythology, as it was an AFOL who initially asked the question.

Since I'm really straying away from the main topic, does anyone know why they cancelled that awesome Snake Train set? Was it because it wouldn't appeal to kids?

One possible reason is Ghost Train from Monster Fighters, maybe they decided that it wouldn't be profitable enough to release two wacky action-theme trains on the same year and the MF train took precedence.

Nothing ever said that they would be releasing that, and since it's basically just an Emerald Night mod, it's possible that it was simply a conceptual model for how the Fangpyre vehicles would be normal vehicles that had been "snakified". A shame we don't seem to be getting any sort of exclusive sets for this half of this year, but I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

LEGO cancelling NinjaGo in 2013 wouldn't be too surprising imo. The theme is clearly doing well, but in the past, LEGO's ridden the success of some themes straight into the ground (Bionicle anyone?) and wound up losing money. As I recall, Alpha Team had a similar story: it sold well enough to stick around for three years and then disappeared without a trace.

Personally, I've never been a huge fan of NinjaGo, but I would be interested to see a new antagonist in 2013. The snake people were interesting at first, but now I feel every snake vehicle is just a different variation of the same design. Something new would be cool.

Besides, before you get too upset that 2013 could be NinjaGo's final year, remember that we have no idea what could be replacing it yet! Could be even better!
