PenPlays Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 The way I see it, the Ninjas' new swords would probably use the handle bars from the Nunchucks of Lightning, and the LOTR Uruk-Hai Sword in Ninja colors Just speculation. Quote
Pythor Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Is that pwr armour? Luuuuuurrvvee those stone warriors,Theyd go really well with passage of jun chi. ! They are in the same suits as kimono lloyd, just recoloured. So that makes a chance well see zane kai cole and jay in that form as actual minifigs! Edited July 19, 2012 by Pythor Quote
deskp Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Hang on, none of the concept art or debunked set design from the comic con panel has been posted here? have you guys seen it? Quote
DraikNova Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 At first glance i thought the stone warriors were clones of Garmadon. That's what I thought at first too. The way I see it, the Ninjas' new swords would probably use the handle bars from the Nunchucks of Lightning, and the LOTR Uruk-Hai Sword in Ninja colors Just speculation. Same thing I thought. BTW, yes, the stone warriors look a little like they would go with that old adventurers dragon-lion-dog Jun-chi. Quote
Zachattacx Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Am I the only one that thinks that the ninja new weapon looks like lightsaber ? Indeed.I guess the ninja have become ninja-ranger-jedis , but if we do get these kimono versions of Kai, Cole, Zane, and Jay( not Lloyd, because we are going to get him)I would be happy, but of we don't we could simply wish for these decals on The Decal Wish List. But the thing that interests me the most is the stone army, they basically have the face of LG but different colors. The two front ones look like the commanders of the stone army because if you look closely you see they're wearing straw hats, while the other part( army)look like they're wearing sombreros( cue the mariachis ), but then I could be wrong. DraikNova Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Actually, they are all wearing the same hats, all in red, the others are just further in the back, which distorts the look of the hats. EDIT: Cole has a green blade for some reason. Edited July 19, 2012 by DraikNova Quote

To me they're faces look a bit like tiger faces. . . I think they're all wearing the same type of hat though. EDIT: Cole has a green blade for some reason. That's because he's earth - his normal and ZX spinners were both green. If you ask me they csould be brown or black, but oh well. Quote

Photos of the Lloyd ZX spinner from Toys'R'Us.com! [ Has anyone established that "Little Legs Lloyd" can fit in the spinners? That little cancelled piece was probably for a boost for short minifigs to reach over spinner crowns as they can't reach over with their arms. However, if you happen to own the CMF Leprechaun you can still use those little green legs make a good little Green Ninja, and use his epic spinner. Quote
DraikNova Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Let's continue the Orient Expedition discussion elswhere. Anyway, I think I already mentioned the idea of using the leprechaun's legs for show-Lloyd. BTW, I really like Lloyd's new spinner crown, with it's multi-elemental design. Quote

Short legs fit fine in a spinner: in fact, they are actually IMO better because it is much harder to get the required amount of leverage necessary to knock out such a small minifig. Yeah, that's an awesome crown. Especially since it's transparent but no snake heaads Quote

Also, the CMF Small Clown has short green legs. . . The small green legs on the Small Clown are actually Bright Green, though, which wouldn't match the rest of the Green Ninja robes. Lloyd could fit on the spinner with short legs I'm sure, but it would be a challenge to fit his huge golden weapon from the set, I imagine. Especially if you were using a spinner crown. Quote

I guess you're right. . . the Small Clown's legs are more like the Dino's. And yeah, it would be though to fit that golden weapon in with a crown. But weapons that long aren't always that good anyways. . . Quote
DraikNova Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I know, he should just have a simpler weapon. Or perhaps a more complicated yet smaller one. Quote
Kai NRG Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I know, he should just have a simpler weapon. Or perhaps a more complicated yet smaller one. yeah. but after all, I like those green peices. They'd make good mini-trees Quote
horizon Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Little Lloyd is the strongest spinner of all. With crown. All weapons fit so far. Quote
DraikNova Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Well, the booster pack does have a good shield, because it is actually at the right height to knock over another minifigure. Quote
pawcanada Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Wow... I have to say that the "Kimono" or "Ninja Robe" figures look amazing and I do like the "lightsaber" esk "elemental weapons". I really hope the Kimono figures do get released for the other four as well as Lloyd as I think they've replaced ZX as my new favourite design. Is it too much to hope that the Lloyd one will get re-released in a set/spinner in the future? I'd rather not buy that book unless I have to as it seems to be a lot to spend for just a fig and if it goes for anything less than $30 on eBay I'd be surprised (not wanting to be sound like a sour puss but I am only interested in the figs and not the whole sets, spinners or anything else). That piece was actually not cancelled; it just didn't get included in that set. I'm sure it will show up in the upcoming Bytar booster pack, and I believe it actually already has shown up in a different color: I've seen it in black in a review of the new Sopwith Camel. Quote
DraikNova Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Really? Can you show us the review? PS: I really like the new suits. Wondering what the other variations (if there are any) will be in 2013. Quote

I saw a pic with those pieces on it too. It was mentioned below it that it was a prototype. I also just checked the piece inventory of the Sopwith Camel on Bricklink. The piece is not present. You however had my hopes up. Of course I might of accidentally glanced over it. I think we need someone who owns the set to clarify. Quote
Lance Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Just got the Epic Dragon Battle, and my son put the CMF Series 5 Clown legs on Lloyd ZX, and it looked fine. Looked like they were mean't to be there. Quote

DraikNova Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Well, I'm going to try that too. Either that or I'll see if I can pick up a leprechaun bag of CM. Let's hope we get news on the new sets soon. Quote
