August 13, 201113 yr I would love to see a fully remote controlled walking biped dinosaur. A bit like the T-Rex in the old 'control center' set, but then off course without wires. 4958 Monster Dino was pretty much exactly that, it was Creator branded but the build was pretty much 100% Technic.
August 15, 201113 yr New space shuttle, or a mobile crane using the new wheels from the unimog and longer cylinders would be nice. Forklift also sounds cool, but would be surprised if they made a flagship one.
August 15, 201113 yr I dont have any idea, but i rather prefer two big models over 1000 pieces like supercar and unimog in this year.Unimog didnt impress me a lot but I love supercar. I will be very pleased, if there will be some kind of plane or helicopter.Wheel based vehicles every year as flagship are little boring .
August 16, 201113 yr I mentioned it in another theme over a month ago, but no one seemed to notice it: it will be fully rc rock climber. I dont have any more details, but I'm pretty sure it will use new parts from Unimog, like portal axles and those torque joints. I'm also guessing that it will have 1xl/1m motors, which is enough, if you use large speed reduction. Oh, and we will get technic plane. Hey, yeah! Sounds great! But where did you hear that??? A rock-Climber would be really cool! Regards, Gerhard
August 16, 201113 yr Anything that has no wheels or tracks will do :D An airplane of some kind? (sea plane) A helicopter? A space shuttle? (to follow up 8480 (same color please)) A submarine? (8480 again) A boat? (like 8839, but bigger and with more functions) A walking machine? Something organic? (the dinosaur) It's not like there are no options :) But I'd just like to see something that deviates from the norm. We sometimes see that, but not recently for a flagship :) Also I still don't get the PF-mania people seem to be having. All that PF does is raise the price, and 8265 proves that a set with no PF can be a great set too. I'd like to see a flagship without PF for once. Oh my, I so agree with you on this one. No wheels or tracks would be awesome!! (one exception: a Mercedes SLS, since TLG did the Unimog with Mercedes, it's not unthinkable) A new space shuttle would be a nice hommage to the ending of an era. However, I do like the Power Functions. Especially in models like the Bulldozer and Excavator. It makes them come to live.
August 16, 201113 yr i dont think so there will be sls amg model.his structure and conception are similar to 8070 .i rather see sls as system racers model than technic version.
August 16, 201113 yr 1) SLS AMG in either silver or bley with no PF elements. Put in full suspension, working transmission, fake engine, working steering wheel, dampened gull wing doors, and lots of detail. 2) Float plane based on the DHC2 Beaver. Add working flaps, drooping ailerons, elevators, rudder, retractable landing gear, and a 9 cylinder radial engine (I'd be happy with an 8 cylinder....would be easier to build). This is one of my future mocs. 3) Forwarder with pneumatics. That is my vote.
August 17, 201113 yr 2 models come to mind, I'd like to see in larger scale then the tiny 'b' model grader from the 8451 Dumper set from 2003. Alternatively, I would like to see a large motorized or pneumatized grader or a larger motorized dump truck, or even a dual dump truck that separates in the middle like we see in the USA used for most construction hauling operations, would be nice if it had a working back tail gate that opened as it raised as well. The 8264 Dumper was a disappointment really, I mean 1 gear?? And that was just for the pivoting of the cab against the dump end. I think we've seen enough cranes and excavators. I know Lego used to reissue successful older models, I'd love to see the 8459/8464/8439, respective in release date, I believe the 8439 was only sold overseas and in Canada, but I'd like to see a reissue of that model. I haven't seen reissues in a long time. What type of flagship do you want? I want fully motorized & pneumatic flagship (4x4 off-roader with suspension & portal gearboxes from set 8110) with motorized winch (1 m motor), suspension with choose of height (1 m motor), steering (1 m motor), & ride (1 xl motor)+ pneumatic functions: pneumatic lockable centre diff, front diff & rear diff & selection from: RWD, FWD & AWD. @Alasdair: Ah Alasdair, you took the words out my mouth, that was my other idea, just didn't scroll up far enough, a low boy trailer that detaches from a tractor for all different construction equipment transporting would be nice. I actually modified the 'b' tractor/trailer of the 8285 Tow Truck set and removed the crane portion, and it hauls my 8294 Excavator, my 8455 Backhoe Loader and my 8464 Front End Loader nicely (too small for the 8043 and the 8275 dozer) A low loader would be nice to move the digger and dozer. @Nazgarot: Actually the 8416 Forklift was a very good design, too bad it didn't have a motor of some sort to stop all the ridiculous winding to raise the lift, it was large enough to include some kind of motor and battery box, though back in 2005 we didn't have PF which are so much smaller than the older, but the mechanics were great. Unfortunately this was one year shy of the smaller battery boxes that came out with the 8287 Motor Kit in 2006, remember the giant battery boxes from 2005 and prior, though the 8421's battery box made a great counterweight. A remote forklift with full PF's would be great. Yes, a forklift including these parts would be great, but most important to me would be a remote with proportional control! I really miss this for the mocs i'm designing...
August 17, 201113 yr 3) Forwarder with pneumatics. My harvester will be better than legos, more working parts to mine. Edited August 17, 201113 yr by Alasdair Ryan
August 17, 201113 yr @Alasdair : it's not because you're building a harverest that you're obliged to make a reference to your build each time we speak about harverest ;-) By the way, I also hope to see an original model, never produced by lego in the few past years. I would appreciate to see a walker :) But besides the models produced, what really interests me are the new parts because I'm primarily a builder and not a collector ! August 17, 201113 yr My harvester will be better than legos, more working parts to mine. Yeah, I'm really excited to see your finished harvester. I'll be working on a forwarder and feller buncher in a few months. Between the two of us, we may have a full line of forest equipment.

We're getting a blue truck...with wheels! A slight mistake there. The 2011 flagship was not an offroader but a truck (the unimog is an off road going truck). So next should be construction equipment in yellow with wheels... To bad, I was hoping for something very different, preferable a machine (like the old control center with drawing machine), but maybe if we look further back the statistics can come and save us -ED-
August 18, 201113 yr 2005 Wheels 2006 Wheels 2007 Tracks 2008 Wheels 2009 Wheels 2010 Tracks 2011 Wheels so... Wheels Maybe:laugh: If you go through the history of Technic at Technicopedia, you will see that virtually every set ever made has wheels or tracks. There are only a handful that didn't. Even the ship (8839) and the Space Shuttle (8480) had wheels. Technic obviously is focused on vehicles. That's one of the reasons the plotter and robotic arm in 8094 are so fascinating.
August 18, 201113 yr I'd like to see a badass plane/helicopter or something other uncomon... (not that i own flagships of the last years, i just like those models...) Maybe a sr-71 blackbird, in black, with working engines (hmmmm, maybe a moc idea)
August 18, 201113 yr Crane? Thay are sometimes yellow and whave wheels. A huge tower crane would be nice!! And despite the fact that they are pretty common, I just love all yellow construction vehicles. So that would be fine by me too. Or will it be a blue off road crane truck with wheels and tracks O and a huge robotic arm with 6 DOF's woukd of course be awesome!! (with PF presumably) Edited August 18, 201113 yr by Gekke Ted
August 19, 201113 yr I almost don't care what it is as long as it is not red or yellow. I want panels and beams in orange, blue, green, and white please. Oh, and flex axles too. Basically I want a large parts palette in colors I can use to build exotic cars. I've got plenty of red and yellow to last a lifetime. We've got a good start on the orange, now we just need to fill out the other parts. Technically this has been tried before. The old Cyber Slam sets were turquoise and purple. Those were indeed unusual colors, but maybe too unusual. And there were not very many parts to choose from. I am also in favor of servo motors and/or a PF valve for pneumatics. Finally, I've been asking for a planetary (epicyclic) gearbox for years. I think this is the only standard gear system not already represented in Technic. I can live without hypoid gears. OK, I admit it. Maybe I do care. Because I just thought of what I really want. I want a helicopter with a real cyclic and collective head.
