August 27, 201113 yr Do not forget that it's only the sets of the first half of 2012, and as all sets release during this time, they are small and probably only one of them ( if they are confirmed) may contain some pfs elements :) True. I didn't think of that. I can still hope for a Tow Truck based on Mater, but perhaps it will be something like the the 8858 Rebel Wrecker.
August 27, 201113 yr 9390 Mini Tow Truck: sounds like the alternative of 8067, probably even smaller. Guessing black, we haven't had a mini 8285 yet. 9391 Tracked Crane: A mini 8288? Would be cool, especially if it were white. Anyhow it'll probably be a nice source of the small tread links, like 8259 (the mini bulldozer) was. 9392 Quad Bike: Sounds uninteresting; not very inventive. But I hope they will surprise us. 9394 Jet Plane: Sounds interesting! Curious to what functions it will have, and how it will look. Guessing white with red, to fit with the recent helicopters. 9395 Pick-Up Tow Truck: Probably same size as 8069 (about 600 parts) given it's a first half-year model. Maybe something like the 8858? Or a smaller 8285? What is the difference between a pick-up tow truck and a tow truck? By the way where's the missing number 9393? Edited August 27, 201113 yr by Erik Leppen

And a "pick-up tow truck" is the smaller kind, a pick-up truck with towing capability. For the tracked crane I would hope for something big and PF. I refuse to twist a little knob gear for eternity to raise the hook.

By the way where's the missing number 9393? i actually would like the quad to be the main set, as a largescale sport or 4X4 quad with pf (driven with a belt before the chain, for schilderen) where the rider moves when u ride it. so it moves from side to side when u stear it. that would sound like a lot of fun, especially for children :)
August 27, 201113 yr I thought, that the Technic theme, has designated number that start's with 8xxx? Maybe something new in that department. Pick-Up Tow Truck sound's great, but I'm looking forward, to second half models, for year 2012.
August 27, 201113 yr how much tracked cranes we will had till now? one? You are right. Should have said "seems not that interesting to me" Do not forget that it's only the sets of the first half of 2012, and as all sets release during this time, they are small and probably only one of them ( if they are confirmed) may contain some pfs elements :) Absolutely true. These will be small to medium sized sets. Except for one, probably.
August 27, 201113 yr I'd like to see a big tractor with double tyres as in this picture And of course some nice large attachment on it (i.e trailer or ploughs etc.) Or maybe tractor with tracks! Hmm...
August 27, 201113 yr 9390 Mini Tow Truck 9391 Tracked Crane 9392 Quad Bike 9394 Jet Plane 9395 Pick-Up Tow Truck I am crossing my fingers hoping that none of these sets turn out to be RED....

Hmm... I like tractors too. But what annoys me is that is not possible to make a realistic bigger tractor because the wheels are too small. http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=8284-1 and http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=8063-1 have this problem, the rear wheels are way too small. Backhoe diggers in JCB style (smaller, not like here in northern europe where they handle terrain better) is possible because the have smaller wheels proportionally. No one would be more happy than me if TLG made a big wheel that agricultural tires (no, we don't want balloon wheels on farm tractors!) that are sufficiently big to build really complex models. And btw, shouldn't you be wishing for a Valtra tractor? We need a new backhoe loader! Will probably not get it in 2012. But to make it stand out from all the previous models it can be modeled (or licensed) after Huddig 1260B 'Muddy Mary'. It is simple a terrain backhoe loader (articulated steering) where the big wheels has been replaced with tracks. Looks brutal, doesn't it? Edited August 27, 201113 yr by Aqualize

If I remember correctly plane is second larger set, in 40 euro range (think this years helicopters). Mini tow truck is 10 euro (similar to mini bulldozer), tracked crane is 20 euro, and quad is similar to previous version - 30 euro (i did not see any pics, just above list with prices).

August 28, 201113 yr And why the 9xxx numbers instead of the usual Technic's 8xxx? Maybe the 9-series sets are an upgrade from the 8-series sets (like one sees for car models and aircraft).
August 28, 201113 yr And why the 9xxx numbers instead of the usual Technic's 8xxx? Set number game is for long time outdated. You never registered that?
August 28, 201113 yr Set number game is for long time outdated. You never registered that? No, I still thought 8xxx was almost always Technic, 7xxx for City (or so I thought), 10xxxx for Exclusives, and so on. Oh well, doesn't matter, as long as the sets are good!

Yes for special sets is 10xxxx regular, but for everything else especially system sets as city, adventures etc. are sets numbers everywhere.I dont know why lego didnt make sets numbers in row before, but this year it looks like they are going make everything in row. But 9xxx numbers are maybe kind of camouflage for TLC lawyers because same numbers with 8xxx are still free . Edited August 28, 201113 yr by Ondra
