October 7, 201311 yr Ah, but from a statistical perspective it's even less of a chance that Docken will be Knocked Out; and Brickdoctor doesn't mind a nice break, and Docken doesn't distinguish between In- and Out-Of-Character knowledge. The answer is obvious. Docken should totally go Assassin for the duration of this quest to, hopefully, rake in the gold for further shield upgrades. 3x Shark Jaw Scythe (WP 15/30 vs. Aquatic Monsters): 115 Gold each What's the weapon type? Are they suitable to Pretzel?

October 7, 201311 yr Does anyone Know Where Shoker86 is? I know my Quest's been slow so far, for which I'm mostly to blame, but he hasn't been on for a few weeks... Also, Sorry CMP for my terrible attendance towards the end of your quest. It was unacceptable and I'm really sorry. ~Insectoid Aristocrat No, he just.... disappeared.
October 7, 201311 yr No, he just.... disappeared. Yes... And I find that quite odd. Even when I was super swamped, I'd find my way on after no more than a work-week.... He's been gone for several... I hope he's alright. I'm actually kinda worried. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
October 7, 201311 yr So, who likes Benji's new set-up? (if you are checking it out, make sure to roll your mouse over the word "elemental" to see why its awesome ) I think Benji would make a pretty awesome Hunter, actually
October 7, 201311 yr Very nifty, Flare! Please, share your secrets to us! I really need to add Hershey to my stats.

Other than that you should have a 2x advantage against everything else and a 4x advantage against beasts and fiery monsters.
October 7, 201311 yr How wants to go on a Quest with Hoke? He's got you covered with at least 3 SP for the whole party!
October 7, 201311 yr How wants to go on a Quest with Hoke? He's got you covered with at least 3 SP for the whole party! *raises hand* ...though you'll probably have to wait a while.

Other than that you should have a 2x advantage against everything else and a 4x advantage against beasts and fiery monsters. I have 4x advantage against Beasts, Plants, Vermin, and Fiery monsters. The only type I don't have an advantage against is Electrical, which is neutral for both weapons. That is unfortunate but its difficult to get a multiplier for every enemy type with only two weapons.

Remember also, this is only for singular types, if someone throws out a duel type at you, you may not have any advantage. But I agree, maintaining WP for multiple weapons just so you can always have an advantage can be expensive. Edited October 7, 201311 yr by Waterbrick Down

October 7, 201311 yr Author I know, it's just...I've been waiting a LONG time to Quest with Byblos (you've heard me ask every time before I signed up for a Quest, "will I get back in time for Byblos?"), and then it gets offered when I'm not in the Hall. Just...disappointing, you know? You can't be chosen to every quest you'd want in - especially in your case it would be totally impossible, since you want into so many quests. But rest assured that this will not be the last quest involving Byblos. Sandy, was there ever any intention to upgrade the weapons available in the Marketplace? I know that a few months after the game started the bumped up from WP 4 to WP 5, but were they ever going to go up again? No, WP:5 is a good number for a "restart" weapon, and the price is affordable too, so Anwyl's weapons will not be raised from that. The WP was originally raised because the one point's difference to the starting weapons was a bit too small.
October 7, 201311 yr Need some opinions on Hoke's build (I'm looking at you Flipz!). I plan on purchasing the Pugilist's Gloves and Heavy Armor. This will bring Hoke up to SP 27 with base attack (level + bonus) to 33. It will also give him immunity to Weakened and Frail/Fragile. When the Flagpole is in use, Hoke will be at SP 30. I will also still have 1,000+ gold to work with, with 100 of that going to purchase a Garnet from Elphaba when she shows up. I plan on buying Grand Tonics/Ether Cores as Enchanting items in getting ether expensive. So here are my questions: -Is this a solid plan? -Should Hoke ditch the Counterstrike Gloves in favor of the +2 bonus to attack and immunity to Weakened with the Pugilist Gloves? -What's the best gem combo for a 2 weapon system? I am leaving 1 weapon unimbued to deal with Ethereal enemies. -Should I immediately consume the Level Up Mushroom to get 4 artifact slots? The reason I am hesitant is because I want to go Dragoon before level 40 so that Hoke has full control over the dragon. -What artifacts should Hoke equip that are in his inventory, including the theorized addition of the Pugilist's Gloves and Heavy Armor? Thanks!
October 7, 201311 yr And we're back to trucking, 84! Even with delays like that on the weekends, I don't think the quest will take more than a month at the most.
October 7, 201311 yr -Should Hoke ditch the Counterstrike Gloves in favor of the +2 bonus to attack and immunity to Weakened with the Pugilist Gloves? -What's the best gem combo for a 2 weapon system? I am leaving 1 weapon unimbued to deal with Ethereal enemies. With the new ruling on the Counterstrike Gloves (which I believe is a thing now?) Having a lot of SP renders the Counterstrike Gloves somewhat useless, in my opinion, so I don't think it would be a terrible idea to sell them off. For a 2-weapon-system I believe Flipz advocated the: Weapon 1: Amethyst, Sapphire, Ruby, Topaz, and Opal Weapon 2: Diamond, Garnet, Emerald, and Aquamarine, I believe. Not sure if I'm right about the Sapphire, you could probably almost leave it out, but this plan should give you: Weapon 1: x4 Beasts, Plants, Flying, Vermin/x2 Aquatic, Humanoid, Holy/Neutral: Icy, Mechanic, Undead/Immune: Fiery, Rock, Electric, Demon Weapon 2: x4 Fiery/x2 Electric, Icy, Rock, Demon, Undead/Neutral: Aquatic, Beasts, Mechanic, Humanoid/Immune: Plants, Flying, Vermin, Holy Correct me if I'm wrong.
October 7, 201311 yr Don't forget I have the Electro Gear too, so when it's equipped, Hoke automatically deals Lightning Damage.
October 7, 201311 yr So you'd have x4 against Beasts, Plants, Flying, Vermin, and Fiery/x 2 against: Aquatic, Humanoid, Holy, Electric, Icy, Rock, Demons, and Undead/rendering your weapons only getting a neutral response from Mechanic enemies. Of course, if you were to remove the Sapphire from the first weapon, then you would gain a x2 multiplier against Mechanic, but sacrifice the x 4 against Flying and Vermin, so whatever suits you. The only creature immune to lightning are Electric Monsters (oddly enough), so you should be fine with it, and only de-equip it should you face a fight with Electric monsters, who are not altogether common. If you are using Weapon 2, you'd still deal neutral damage to them. Using the Electro-gear would prevent you from needing to imbue a Topaz, though I'm not sure if it's worth the artifact slot.
October 7, 201311 yr "Oh, hello there, another witch! Hi, Karie." The woman offers her hand. "My name is Morta. I'm a witch of death. This little lump of love is named Marcellus." Zepher, you seem very keen to test Thothwicks resolve!
October 7, 201311 yr I had no idea the Death Mask would be worth that. Atramor did a number on Tarn there!
October 7, 201311 yr I had no idea the Death Mask would be worth that. Atramor did a number on Tarn there! I thought the whole reason he was selling it in the hall was so that he wouldn't have to endure Fabian. You've got enough gold anyway.
October 7, 201311 yr I like my witch trio! Morta and Marcellus had to show up in a tavern. Also, I'm SO pissed that I've never used a tavern as a plot mechanic before - so many fun NPCs in one place.
October 7, 201311 yr True, avoiding Fabian's advances is worth more than gold! Yeah, best not risk Tarn's outstanding success with the ladies. Also, I'm SO pissed that I've never used a tavern as a plot mechanic before - so many fun NPCs in one place. I love those things. You can stick pretty much any NPC you want in one, it's never illogical for someone to just want a drink.
October 8, 201311 yr Just thinking about it now, for Hoke I would almost think that he should go for more Ether-boosting artifacts, since he's a Mystic Knight. Mystic Knights always need a ton of ether, and if you have the ether than upgrading you shield to meet whatever lacks you had shouldn't be too much of a problem. Of course, I imagine Hoke won't be staying on as a Mystic Knight for too long especially with that Medal of Glory, so in that case armour probably is better.
