September 14, 201410 yr I would be more worried about the Thin Men who can still crit you from across the MegaBlokin' map when you're Hunkered in full cover and they're Suppressed. *rubs hands and grins* Wait, I thought that thin beings of supernatural power had the powers of teleportation, TV static, and terrifying tentacular tormenting.
September 14, 201410 yr Palathadric, 250 gold with a 25% discount actually would not be 200. It would be (250/4=62.5 *3=187.5 ->188) 188 gold Also, 250*0.75 = 187.5, heh. 250 -> 200 would be a 20% I've added 12 Gold to your stats, Palathadric.
September 14, 201410 yr Wait, I thought that thin beings of supernatural power had the powers of teleportation, TV static, and terrifying tentacular tormenting. Nah, just the power to turn themselves into internet memes.
September 14, 201410 yr Ah, well, and Quarry, you should have given me your staff to upgrade. Quarry did give you his staff.
September 14, 201410 yr Palathadric, I just looked at your title and realized that Quest #112 is probably a huge pain to load on your Internet — sorry about that. I hope the quest will make the wait worthwhile.
September 14, 201410 yr Quarry did give you his staff. I think he meant at the Marketplace. Actually, I think that Pretzel running an upgrade business could be pretty awesome. Aside from the fact that you'd have to catch him in the Hall, he could just offer the weapon upgrades at the normal price, but then get them at his discounted price, keeping the 25% savings for himself; the advantage is that that Gold remains in circulation rather than disappearing into the infinite coffers of an NPC.

I feel like that's just begging for a nerf.
September 14, 201410 yr It would have to apply to Alchemist and Marauder, too. It's just the nature of discount abilities.
September 14, 201410 yr Mystic Knight is better than Artisan for upgrades — Artisan can't do shields, and Artisan has a chance of reducing the WP. Sure, Mystic Knight uses Ether, but at 30 Gold for 15 Ether, it's a whole lot cheaper than weapon upgrades. Edit: I just realized that we're talking about the 25% discount, not the Artisan's ability to increase WP. As for the discounts, as Pie said, that seems like the kind of abuse of a system that's just asking Sandy to nerf it.
September 14, 201410 yr It would have to apply to Alchemist and Marauder, too. It's just the nature of discount abilities. No, not really. It's in the nature of those who would abuse it. I trust most of the people here to not game the system in such a way.
September 14, 201410 yr Author As for the discounts, as Pie said, that seems like the kind of abuse of a system that's just asking Sandy to nerf it. If Pala wants to go through all the trouble of becoming a self-appointed shopkeeper, I'm not going to stand in his way.

I hope the quest will make the wait worthwhile. The title which you gave me! Actually, I haven't had a problem loading anything thus far. And really, the pictures do make it worthwhile. If Pala wants to go through all the trouble of becoming a self-appointed shopkeeper, I'm not going to stand in his way. Well, I hadn't thought of it before. But now that you mentioned it.
September 15, 201410 yr Sorry Pala but I have to point out that as an artisan you can't wear the heavy armor.
September 15, 201410 yr Sorry Pala but I have to point out that as an artisan you can't wear the heavy armor. As an Artisan he can actually wear any armor.
September 15, 201410 yr Edit to insert info: Guardian Feathers (SP:2, SP is multiplied by the Winged Warrior's Flying multiplier; backwear, suitable for Winged Warriors only), Maybe I'm missing something, but has anyone realized how useless this item is? Winged Warriors can't be touched while they're Flying, what good is Defense while they're doing it?
September 15, 201410 yr Oh. You said a unit had to be adjacent to attack, I didn't know that included diagonals. I could've sworn that melee worked diagonally in Enemy Within, but apparently not. I always put flamethrowers on my MECs instead of the Kinetic Strike Modules, and I've never controlled a Chryssalid.
September 15, 201410 yr Maybe I'm missing something, but has anyone realized how useless this item is? Winged Warriors can't be touched while they're Flying, what good is Defense while they're doing it? Yeah, when Flipz proposed the item, I said the same thing, but I think there is some small reason for them... Flipz?
September 15, 201410 yr The idea is that the flying multiplier actually goes to some use before disappearing when you roll Damage or Special Damage after Flying. (It's also one of the few available sources of SP for the class. ) Also, the minimum Flying multiplier is 1x, not 0x (otherwise the class would be unable to attack without Flying first).
September 15, 201410 yr The idea is that the flying multiplier actually goes to some use before disappearing when you roll Damage or Special Damage after Flying. (It's also one of the few available sources of SP for the class. ) It doesn't go to any use, since Winged Warriors can't be damaged when they're Flying (which is the only time they ever have flying multipliers).
September 15, 201410 yr Ah, well, and Quarry, you should have given me your staff to upgrade. I definitely should have. Oh well, too late now.
September 15, 201410 yr It doesn't go to any use, since Winged Warriors can't be damaged when they're Flying (which is the only time they ever have flying multipliers). Not true; if they Fly successfully, then attack and roll Damage, they still take damage in addition to losing their multiplier; same goes for Special Damage.
September 15, 201410 yr "Right, here are the rules" -Each drink can have a total of 2 sips before fully expended. -Each contestant starts with a hand of 4 drinks, having to choose one to drink every round. -Whenever you take a sip from a drink and there is still one sip left, it is passed into the other drinker's hand. -Your opponent then does the same, sipping and passing a drink back to you. -Whenever a drink is expended, I'll pour another one and add it back into the mix. -A round consists of the Human taking a sip and passing, then the Progg doing the same. -The winner is whoever reduces their enemy's Endurance to 0 first. -Whenever a drink is expended, I'll pour another one and add it back into the mix.[/font] But Pyro, there are no Proggs in your Quest
