Brickdoctor Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 That's over nine thousand! "The reading's also off the charts...over twenty thousand."Tsk, tsk, you missed the opportunity to quote Star Wars instead of an Internet meme. Quote
CMP Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Tsk, tsk, you missed the opportunity to quote Star Wars instead of an Internet meme. Yeah, but....it's a prequel quote. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Yeah, but....it's a prequel quote. Fair enough."Twenty-five thousand! Those guys must really be desperate." *Yes, I know the quote is "seventeen thousand". But that doesn't make sense. You could also go with "Look at the size of that thing!" Quote
Flipz Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 You could also go with "Look at the size of that thing!" Not unless we want endless "that's what she said" jokes. ...oh. Shoot. Quote

Sandy Posted May 20, 2013 Author Posted May 20, 2013 The Codpiece of Destiny, no doubt. That so needs to be a thing. Thank you for the idea. "Congratulations! You gained 1000.000 GP, which gives you my family's heirloom, an artefact that has been passed from father to son for countless generations. It will protect the thing that is most important to you. Let me present: the Codpiece of Destiny! Remember to never wash it or it will lose its power!" Hrm...trying to find a way to distribute the loot such that it's not unfair. Which is difficult, considering that poor Nagure can use none of it. C'mon, Sandy, throw the poor guy a bone! Nagure already has a cazillion SP, I think he's fine the way he is. Quote

Flare Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 The way U'reeves talks is driving me nuts, for that is how I feel after hearing that thing talk!! Quote
Zepher Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 (edited) Clearly haven't read a U'Kin quest before. I invented their damn speech pattern for 30, but I'm fairly sure at this point WBD writes it better than I do. U'Or still has hints of it in his speech from time to time, as if it were an accent he is trying to shake. Edited May 20, 2013 by Zepher Quote

Yes, it is annoying for sure, because it really is a pain! Quote

U'Or still has hints of it in his speech from time to time he does it a little, as if it were an accent he is trying to shake like an embarrassing accent. Fixed that for you I fixed that. Hopefully that will make up for the time I had Triad refer to herself in the first person I hope. Sandy will probably ban U'Kin as a playable race now he will probably ban them. Palathadric Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Do you really think a male hero in a cat suit or on heels is a good idea? (no offense to people that are into that sort of thing. ) Disturbing images of Nagure flashing to mind. Hrm...trying to find a way to distribute the loot such that it's not unfair. Which is difficult, considering that poor Nagure can use none of it. C'mon, Sandy, throw the poor guy a bone! A bone? Really? And you think that will make it fair? Too bad Sylph doesn't have a stated gender yet. Stupid not-sexy Sylph. Wait, you're in the perfect situation. Now if you were planning on playing a male, you can easily switch and say that you're a female, get the catsuit, and none of us would know the difference. Once again, it should go to Karie since she's going Sorceress. And I think it's unanimous that everyone here wants to see Karie in that Cat Suit! Return of Thormana. Thormana Strikes Back. If Karie gets the suit, she'll just newtify herself again and it will be useless. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Could we have an idea about how long each of the quests on the board are intended to be. Quote
Endgame Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 The Syndicate is going to be 4 (normal length, 6-12 round) battles + one Endgame boss. Quote
Kintobor Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 A Secret Under Eubric is going to be two normal battles, one boss battle, and a few random battles sprinkled about. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 (edited) 1001. A bone? Really? And you think that will make it fair? Never underestimate the power of a bone... Particularly in an Endgame Quest. Wait, you're in the perfect situation. Now if you were planning on playing a male, you can easily switch and say that you're a female, get the catsuit, and none of us would know the difference. ...Well... Let's just say, it''s not quite that easy... Return of Thormana. Thormana Strikes Back. If Karie gets the suit, she'll just newtify herself again and it will be useless. I never made it a rule that newtyness removes all worn items--and the rules for transformation featured in the Beast Master class explicitly mention you do get to keep your artifacts... And, since the catsuit belongs to a shapechanger, it's conceivable that the catsuit might shrink/grow with her. Heck, wearing the catsuit might make being a newt in combat not quite as bad. Not too sure about all her other clothes though. But I think we all know the true solution. Karie has to become a Beast Warrior with the alt-form of Newt... in addition to Minstrel and Harlot. The Syndicate is going to be 4 (normal length, 6-12 round) battles + one Endgame boss. so, 4 months and three secret bosses? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 20, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
