De'kra can't go on a quest yet, he is busy recovering mentally from the last adventure. Not only did he accidentally cause a war, but he died and went feral. He has a lot to think about before he feels ready to go on another adventure.

Oh, come now. He didn't cause the war. The Shadeaux caused it. De'kra (and the rest of us) were just the vessels through which the Shadeaux caused the war!

And for all you Level 1-4s out there who might not make it into one of those other Quests looking for higher level players, I'd be more than happy to take some of you. :classic: Especially if you happen to be a Knight or Cleric. :sweet:

I don't think En Sabah Nur will be signing up for a quest soon. He's a meddler but doesn't like to get involved in large-scale world changing events. Nur's a little xenophobic so parties over 5 people make him a bit nervous. :sceptic:

haha... Note: All heroes that are attracted to women are automatically enamored for the duration of the battle, being unable to target the sirens

 funny.

But he did argue in favor of killing the Elves, which directly caused the war. Plus I think De'kra was the first one of us to suggest killing the elves, and so it is possible that he swayed the decision. But more importantly De'kra knows that he was nearly useless in our adventure(except for that one knight he killed by himself and when he used that awesome cloak), and so he sees the war as another in a long list of failures.

My dice did seem to hate you, but don't hold that against yourself. It's something you can't control. As for the elves, like I've said, I didn't place that many clues indicating that you should've killed Shawe as killing an elf or a Lion was how to make the Quest succeed. Killing Shawe was just something you could've done for a greater reward if you figured out what was going on. Like a bonus question on a test. You could either make the right choice or the even better choice.

If I have a crisp apple and a crisp apple dipped in caramel and drizzled with chocolate...

...the caramel apple is better than the crisp apple, but the crisp apple is still a good choice, and it's the right choice compared to the soft, bruised apple and the rotten apple.

The worst choice was to kill the Hinckwell Commodore, but that's more like a soft, bruised apple. You still would have gotten a small reward from the Shadeaux since they hate the Hinckwells anyways. The only rotten apples were somehow killing everybody, in which case there would be no one left to give you any reward, or killing no one, in which case there would be no doubt in the Shadeaux's mind that you had failed.

I am currently developing a philosophy of Darkness that will effect the future character of Tesni, so she would likely oppose Wren's Chaotic Darkness. Good times

I know I've said this before, but I just have to say it again; I am absolutely loving the characterization you've been doing with Cysgodion. It's astounding. I love how you've taken the concept of a dark sword bonding to you and running with it. It just boggles my mind to see that the sword you got on my quest has shaped your character development...

I have a high acid content apple and a poisoned apple. Both silence Brickdoctor about apples - only one will do so immediately. :devil_laugh:

I'm surprised people are going far enough as to decline signing up for quests to remain in character, both of which, in my opinion, have some of the best devlopment so far.

Yeah, I was tempted to not sign up for Zepher's Quest, for it would have a dark character (Wren) maybe corrupting Althior. My advanced class choice should have some good development as well. For those know it... *coughmaskedbrickdoctorcralegoboycough*

SHUT IT!!

Tanma know that it isn't his fault, but De'kra doesn't. De'kra doesn't know he is in a roleplaying game, so all the dice results are because of skill, not luck. Tanma hoping to use Quest 4(and knowledge of Quest 10) to progress De'kra's character into wanting to bring down the houses, possibly leading to him allying with Wolfgang. De'kra might spare Ji Pei though, because of other character reasons. First he needs to learn about them however...

De'kra is free for interaction in the Hall by the way.

Why Tanma talk like Cronk?

There's a reasonable level of character development in not waffling between allegiances, and Sandy did mention he has plans for reputations to really mean something, sometime down the road. Personally, I wanted to get in on a quest with a smaller group of players, as I think that was a large factor in dragging out Q4 (though I loved having that much time to get invested in it, don't get me wrong). Plus, frees up a spot for someone else to enjoy one of Doc's quests. Why be selfish?

Edit:

Also, @Tanma, my post near the top of the page was *definitely* meant to have a smiley of some sort in it, as I intended it to be lighthearted. I hope I didn't come off as saying "Bah, De'kra has it all wrong and that's final"

I didn't see it like that, but thanks regardless. De'kra will get "back on the horse" eventually, but for now he has a lot to think about.

Hm, I was having trouble loading the forums when I wrote that, and it wasn't showing the emoticon in my first post, though apparently I did put one in there afterall. Go figure. And hey, De'kra can take as much time as he needs. Poor little guy is obviously carrying a bunch of baggage, probably more than he knows/remembers at least, and like you said, he had that episode in the middle of spurring a war. And on top of all that, he's got a little slug thingy to take care of! That's a ton more responsibility than I'd care for

@Bricksandparts, I think it'd be a nice way to pass the time, for sure. The only problem is that either the forum would get cluttered with threads, or a single thread would get cluttered with all the games going on (assuming it caught on)

Oh my, There are three quests with ship travel...

Haha, yeah, I noticed that too.

And I gotta respect that level of gameplay! :look: I don't think I could do that to myself, but I respect it a lot! Also, Boomingham wants to make money and make connections always and is kind of blind to right and wrong, so I don't think he'd discriminate too much  .

Rumble Strike, WBD, Jeb, Tanma, I need experienced heroes on my quest (and some no ones, not trying to deter anyone!). Any of you want to consider tagging along? :classic: I know once the current quests let out I'll have more sign ups, but I don't think I even have enough for a quest yet, and I like all your characters  .

Yeah if you'll wait for our quest to finish up I'll be happy to join in!

I love writing but I have to admit that Tesni's path was somewhat simplistic with some of the usual cliches and tropes to go along. The sword has given me the perfect opportunity to not only take her in a much more interesting direction, but to provide resolution to the character's history and future in a much more interesting and satisfactory way. Thanks for handing me the opportunity.

To all y'all out there, isn't it good that PvP is not a common thread, else I'd be kicking all y'all butts!:laugh:
