Darth Nihilus Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Awesome. I want that Dagger of Mugging! But I'll just wait, there might be good loot later in Quest #13. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Hm, I was having trouble loading the forums when I wrote that, and it wasn't showing the emoticon in my first post, though apparently I did put one in there afterall. Go figure. And hey, De'kra can take as much time as he needs. Poor little guy is obviously carrying a bunch of baggage, probably more than he knows/remembers at least, and like you said, he had that episode in the middle of spurring a war. And on top of all that, he's got a little slug thingy to take care of! That's a ton more responsibility than I'd care for @Bricksandparts, I think it'd be a nice way to pass the time, for sure. The only problem is that either the forum would get cluttered with threads, or a single thread would get cluttered with all the games going on (assuming it caught on) There would be open game places and the players would send what they want to do in the game to me in a PM, then I update the game. Bricksandparts Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 (edited) ...Where does Heroica fit into this? Its is just a way to bet coins or items on playing games like cards, chess, or some gambling games to pass time outside of quests. Speaking of which, I could make a dice rolling game where you and K-nut can see who wins the competition. How about this? You each start out with 5 points, I'll roll a die and if you get 1 you lose 2 points, if you get 2 or 3 you lose 1 point, if you get 4 or 5 your points stay the same, and if you get 6 you get an extra point. The first the reach 0 loses. Sound ok? Edited November 29, 2011 by Bricksandparts Quote

Bricksandparts Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Sandy, is it Ok if I host a War sort of game? I could get some people that are waiting for quests and probably have it done before the new quests start. The two teams could bet money on their kingdom and the winners split up the loot. it's not done just yet but I'm finishing it up. I'll post pictures when it's done. Quote
Etzel Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Come on, Bricksandparts, do we really need that? Heroica is a RPG based on Quest and we have the Hall to use for in-character talk when we aren't on quests, I think that is enough. Quote

Heroica is a RPG based on Quest and we have the Hall to use for in-character talk when we aren't on quests, I think that is enough. I guess. It just seems that people are getting restless and now are starting to want to gamble their money. I'm almost done, but if you think it's just a waste then I'll just throw off the game but can you at least look at the general rules? The game starts off in a forest, waste-land, desert, etc. The board is set up with tiles the board can be big or small (normally about 15x25, depending how long you want the game to go. each team starts off with a castle. each team starts off with about 10 members (NPCs, not Users). The teams deploy their members through the board to find spare pieces and parts (or should it be coins?)(BTW if it is coins, these are fake coins, they can't be taken out of the battle) to upgrade or expand their castle. This is not all, I'll upload some images to Brickshelf and create a map soon, To be continued... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 That sounds more like a game or Quest of its own, not something that can really be integrated into Heroica or Heroica Hall. Quote

We just need Doc to get off his fat butt and start building. And we do have Sandy's approval on this. No peeking! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I'm sorry I keep going way too complicated. I'm the sorta guy that likes programmed games where the computer does all the work so I think a bit complicated. Just so you know, something big is coming to the halls of Heroica. We just need Doc to get off his fat butt and start building. And we do have Sandy's approval on this. No peeking! Tell me, tell me PWEASE! Jk. That sounds more like a game or Quest of its own, not something that can really be integrated into Heroica or Heroica Hall. Well if it isn't accepted then I'll make it a quest definitely. I hope this does not make lag... It'd take a while to change it after each turn, but Here it is... Quote
Bricksandparts Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) A small Map, with a general start. I'll take off the pictures if this causes much lag. I'll add the castles soon... Update: Treasure chests... Edited November 30, 2011 by Bricksandparts Quote
