Shoker86 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Oh, okay. The shuriken-throwing Crusader thing, though, is funny because it's one of those ridiculous things that got created as a result of the things we did when we were all Heroica's first newbs. You can't really purposely create something equally ridiculous and end up with something equally funny or infamous. One day, when I get some experience and find the time to host a quest. I don't get the thing with Sorrow and ether core though. I know he's no mage so he can't use it, must be some internal joke Quote

Scorpiox Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 (edited) One day, when I get some experience and find the time to host a quest. I don't get the thing with Sorrow and ether core though. I know he's no mage so he can't use it, must be some internal joke It originates in CJP's Princess Panic quest, after the Christmas/Grogmas event. In the midst of a perilous battle, Sorrow received his present from the Grogmas raffle: an ether core. This has since become a running joke, owing to the fact that such an item was possible the most useless and irrelevant consumable that the party could have received at the time. It was actually the First Anniversary Raffle. Endgame mentioned he's probably get the most useless item, the Ether Core...and he did. But he did get one for Grogmas, too. Quote
Shoker86 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 (edited) http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=72629 Oh i see . So that's the catch. A ninja highlander would be a Mac Ninja right? Mac Ninja, great name, short and catchy. Mac Ninja dressed in traditionaly Scottish fashion. Edited May 28, 2013 by Shoker86 Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Well, we should all know what a McNinja looks like. Quote
Endgame Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Ether Cores R Us Blood. There will be blood. I like being the one who starts the unfortunate running jokes, not being the butt monkey at the end of 'em. Quote
Shoker86 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 (edited) First of all i do not intend to insult those two great cultures and traditions, Japaneese and Scottish. I was thinking about mix beetween Scottish highlander clansmen as portrayed in Braveheart. With kilts, warpaints and bagpipes and cross it with zen traditions, bushido ethics, and Japaneese weapons. Basicaly a faction organized like Japaneese military caste in Edo period, adding some Scottish flavour. I haven't designed it yet. Blood. There will be blood. I like being the one who starts the unfortunate running jokes, not being the butt monkey at the end of 'em. I find myself guilty for this. So i volonteer for Endgame quest for further treatment. Shoker86 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Scotland? Great culture? Pah! Sean Connery, Celtic FC, William Wallace. I can't remember any Scottish rock band , but great tradition. Quote
Scorpiox Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Sean Connery, Celtic FC, William Wallace. I can't remember any Scottish rock band , but great tradition. The best you're going to get for 'rock band' are The Proclaimers, who are literally amazing. I bought that album in '83. Quote

Endgame Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 (edited) Blood from your gums? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Look, surgery ain't just one appointment. Its several spread over 6 months. Also, dagnabbit, why do I always have difficulty with sign-ups. Edited May 28, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Flipz Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Or we could just talk to Miles and Keiko O'Brien from ST:TNG and ST:DS9. Quote
Scorpiox Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Then, in response to Tarn's doubt, Alan holds up a long rope. "We can't cage it yet, but we can knock it out and newtralize it." Oh no! Not the newts again! Quote
Palathadric Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Also, dagnabbit, why do I always have difficulty with sign-ups. Because everyone knows that your quests will last 6 months and that they will fight a series of mega-bosses who will each drop 1 Water Bomb as loot. On a more serious note, I don't think you should make it a too regular occurrence to give out a level of XP as a quest reward. Quote

Also, was 720 gold for being The Perfect Regret not enough? I agree with that one, though. I chose this reward for a reason that will become apparent about halfway through the quest. Quote
Shoker86 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I wanted to go on the quest Endgame, but as you can se I can't make it in time to sign up. Quote
Endgame Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Chances are I'm going to postpone it until 66 lets up anyway. Quote

Palathadric Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 No, I only have 5 battles planned! And only 1 of them is a boss battle! You mean, only one boss that has three other bosses with him, right? Yeah, I mean, Quest #48 had only one boss too, right? Quote
Endgame Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 You mean, only one boss that has three other bosses with him, right? Yeah, I mean, Quest #48 had only one boss too, right? No, 48 had 4 boss battles. There is a distinct difference. Works for me! Good things come to those who wait! Like catsuits and the resulting wolfwhistles from The Stealer. Quote
