Not really. The magic surrounding the scrolls prevents memorization. It is why they must be read from each time. Healing or elemental spells are the types that can be committed to memory.

Ah. Fair enough. I'm just saying though, I think the rules of the game are the most important part. They provide crucial moorings for the Role-playing to prevent things from getting out of hand.(Drake)

Still though, if this fight actually happened (and I didn't want to reveal who he was under the helmet) Sylph's strategy would be to lurk on the outskirts of the fight, healing himself if he get's hit by stay arrows, and waiting for the fight to end. To avoid attention, he'd possibly take on weaker targets from time to time, but for the most part he'd try to remain unwatched, maybe even looting dead heroes that hadn't been looted. Then, when the battle was down to its final contestant, he would swoop in like a vulture before it got a chance to heal itself, and kill it without mercy. The enemy of your enemy is your tool. If we take into account friendships and such, Sylph would make promises to the heroes he knows not to kill them until later in the game as long as they did the same so as to avoid them attacking him. He wouldn't break those promises though, because then no one would believe him in later promises.

And so it begins

Meh! If he plays his cards right, there would be no one left to believe him. :devil_laugh:

Have to say, I really like how Quest #66 is turning out. Somewhat unexpected in a way, but then again not entirely. Keeps me guessing though.

And thus, Quest 66 is a wrap!

I'll make my departing post in a little bit... but huzzah, golem champagne for all!

Hmmm, mass carnage, nice thought.

I think Nyx has a good chance; hefty physical damage, plus excellent magical damage, plus scroll use, plus healing staff as required and natural respite to top up her health between blowing people up. If she can get Edgar to join her too, then she'd be better able to dodge some of the damage as well. There are a lot of heavy hitters out there, though.... :look:

Great quest Sandy, it was an honour really. I want to say thanks to all the player who made this quest enjoyable.

I sound like I've just won an oscar

So, out of all of those heroes, only 1 received reputation?

It's just for show though, I doubt Thotwick will ever go Necromancer... Although that would be very interesting to see how that'd happen!

And the approval of Captain Patricia is worth far more than any reputation.:thumbup: Awesome Quest, Sandy, and players. Guffington. Now.

I hate you so much for making that canon, Endgame. :sadnew::tongue:

Why is it that Haldor would be the only one having qualms over murdering his friends? :look:

Erik would have trouble murdering pretty much any heroes, regardless of his friendship.

But he doesn't have enough tanky-ness to last long anyway.

The skull doesn't respond, motionless. Whatever enchantment Vaughn on it must have lifted with his death.

Aaw. And I was so looking forward to combining it with my five bones and two death progg claws and making a skeleton decoy hero when Erik got to level 50.

Oh well, Necromancer wouldn't have suited him at all anyway.

It'd depend on Nyx's mood. She'd be very unlikely to start the fight, but if she were required to defend herself she might enjoy the punching, smiting and incinerating quite a bit. :look:

I did say that Arthur would be quite adept at avoiding being hit. But with one notable exception, I don't think he'd be able to attack another Hero at this point.

Ah, dammit Endgame, you had to hog Guts! Can't sign up for anything until he's alone so I can talk to him.

Let me guess...

Ah, but would doing so not just undermine Arthur's 'my punishment is living this life' ethos? If he did attack Atramor, he'd only be giving into the Wren side that he is desperately trying to rid himself of.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: F*ck this goddamn editor. Keeps eating my posts, and it's getting on my nerves.
