Endgame Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 No thanks, I like mortality rate below 60%. If you think about it though, by that logic we're all Sandy's apprentices. Quote
Zepher Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Oh, most definitely. I rip stuff from Sandy all the time. Quote
Endgame Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Where is that "favorite passive special" from Endgame, Zepher? I hope it is one of my more devastating ones... those are always a joy. Quote
Zepher Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 I already used Lust this quest, actually. It is one of my favorite passive specials for low leveled opponents. Quote
Endgame Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Ohh, that! I saw that one, but I thought your favorite would be Contagion or something. Quote
Zepher Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Contagion is admittedly a very cool one that I must have forgotten about. I have Miracle of the Court for that, though. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Hey, I was under the impression that he wouldn't be hosting it until after his current quest was finished. Really? MegaBloks, I could've gone on Quest 66. I was under the impression that the ice armour scroll was automatically successful. I thought all scrolls were never automatically successful as a rule. "Always two there are, no more, no less: a master and an apprentice." Yoda "Always three or four there are, a couple more, a couple less: a master, an apprentice, a secret apprentice, a super-clone-Jedi-bounty-hunter, and some acolytes that apparently don't count for good measure." -Brickdoctor If you think about it though, by that logic we're all Sandy's apprentices. Well, that depends on whether you consider the apprentice's apprentice the apprentice of the master. Was Darth Vader apprentice to Darth Plagueis? On the other hand, there's the apparent in-universe consideration of Jedi possibly being apprentices to the Grand Master. (To explain Obi-Wan's being apprentice to Qui-Gon as shown in Menace and his being apprentice to Yoda as stated in Empire.) Although in that case, all the Jedi of the generations around that time were at one time younglings probably taught by Yoda in at least one class. So it depends on how you look at it: as Sandy being the creator of the game and thus the 'grand master' of all the QMs, or of the QMs who never played in one of Sandy's quests as never being Sandy's apprentice. Assuming that being a player means being an apprentice to the QM in the first place...Is this a pointless rant based on somewhat obscure Star Wars knowledge? Quote
Zepher Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Is this a pointless rant based on somewhat obscure Star Wars knowledge? Aren't they all? Quote
Shoker86 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 (edited) Well Endgame is like Darth Plagues the Wise. He could influence midi-chlorians to create Life.Endgame used ether to create Proggs I'm done with Star Wars comparisons. Edited June 3, 2013 by Shoker86 Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Nah, he's more like Darth Sidious the Maker of a Ridiculous Number of Superweapons Bosses. Quote
Endgame Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Superweapon bosses? Actually, gotta admit, Darth Endgame has a good ring to it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I went and compiled a list of all the players who went on one of my quests as their first: Quest 4: Taming the Lions Cinna the Dark (Darkdragon) - QMed Quest 27. Thormanil Nihai (swils) - Hasn't QMed any quests, but really should because he has those boots. Benji Carvenhall (Flare) - QMed Quests 42 and 57. De'kra (Tanma) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Ad-Hoh (ADHO15) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Xander Unth'or (posades) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Leo Aragon (original character of JediAnakin/TheBoyWonder) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Quest 17: The Lion's Share Alexandre le Chevalier (second character of Capt.JohnPaul) - QMed Quests 8, 24, 37, 47, 55, 60, and 67. Isabella del Toboso (Dharkan) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Spag Bitterstalk (Kenghis Ghan) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Arthur Justus Regulus VII (Flipz) - Working on his pitch for a quest. Helm Delvergrow (Sloop) - Hasn't QMed any quests. Quest 31: Lions and Lambs All heroes were veterans of at least one quest. So I've been the first QM for three QMs and one player who's about to become a QM, who have hosted nine soon to be ten quests between them. (I didn't realize until now how many quests John Paul has QMed.) Maybe John Paul doesn't count since he went on one Sandy quest before that with his first character. Not sure. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 There isn't any chance a Level 20 Undead Assassin could go on it, is there? I'm cool with it, I've been following the battles from most of the different quests to try and familiarize myself with all of the classes and the rules are very easy to reference at any time. Quote
Cutcobra Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Actually, gotta admit, Darth Endgame has a good ring to it. I thought Endgame was so evil he already had the title Darth . Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I thought Endgame was so evil he already had the title Darth . I think "Whelp you dead." sums it up pretty well though. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Flare Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Oh dear, I feel competitive now. Who wants to study at my feet? Your late to the party, Zepher Even I already have an apprentice of my own (buaha haha haha haha) Aren't they all? If the rant is made by Brickdoctor, then yes, yes they all are. Quote
Sandy Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 So it depends on how you look at it: as Sandy being the creator of the game and thus the 'grand master' of all the QMs, or of the QMs who never played in one of Sandy's quests as never being Sandy's apprentice. Assuming that being a player means being an apprentice to the QM in the first place... Now that I think about it, there's actually quite a few characters that haven't been on any of my quests... I always try to be impartial when choosing players, but I hope I get to QM for all of you at some point. Although, with the climax that I've planned for the main storyline, that will happen in any case... Quote
CMP Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 'A Party'? 'Escort Service'? What's next? 'The Attack'? 'Find Someone'? 'A Mission'? Quote
Zepher Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I was pleasantly surprised by the title I totally forgot I thought up, actually. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Sorry 65'ers, Quest delay due to lack of sleep. Some really good roleplay in the interim. We'll really get going this week as my schedule turns back to normal. Quote
Chromeknight Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Sorry 65'ers, Quest delay due to lack of sleep. Some really good roleplay in the interim. We'll really get going this week as my schedule turns back to normal. Good thing Nerwen put the shackles on, the bat could easily have slipped away during all the talking... We understand the need for good sleep though! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Nah, the NPCs can't do anything while the heroes are just discussing things among themselves. Quote
Endgame Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 'A Party'? 'Escort Service'? What's next? 'The Attack'? 'Find Someone'? 'A Mission'? Don't forget "The Syndicate." Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 'A Party'? 'Escort Service'? What's next? 'The Attack'? 'Find Someone'? 'A Mission'? I had thought about using "Shadowing the Shadeaux", but that sounded more like stalking than escorting. Quote
