Brickdoctor Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Also, charging for heals as a cleric isn't choosing Stats over RP... It's just being a dick. (if anything, it's RPing a dick) It is roleplaying if your reason for it is not understanding or caring about economics, since you (I assume ) in real life would care about that. I don't see mulled wines as very useful, so I'm not going to get them. I'll get some more Meads before we head off. *cough*240HPAura*cough* And if Pandora gets in too, it's never a bad thing to buff the HP of the fragile healer/caster. Bam, Boomingham has officially socked an Alligator in the jaw.. Other names considered were "Crikey Dile" and "Reptar". Yes, I know Boomingham is fighting an alligator and Steve is wrestling a crocodile and that they're not the same thing. Quote
Palathadric Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Therefore he gets swindled every now and then. He is more likely to overpay for an item then to attempt to haggle. Hmm...good to know. Now what deals should I make with Sylph...*searches inventory.* Rogues don't need to hand out gold, that would be unfair, but I think they do understand that they fill the spot in the party of buying consumables and phoenix essences, Why would it be unfair? I don't know too many rogues that hand out consumables to there parties either. Hybros in the Pagoda, of course, would be an exception. Quote
Endgame Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Sorrow did it - Buffed up Nyx and Nagure to wipe the floor with the 'saurs. Quote
Palathadric Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Yes, I know Boomingham is fighting an alligator and Steve is wrestling a crocodile and that they're not the same thing. Of course they're different. Alligators are digital renderings of crocodiles...without POV-Ray. You don't need to be Engame to figure that out. Quote
Endgame Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Plot twist: In the last quest I host, it'll turn out my heroes were trapped in the Matrix all along. Quote
Palathadric Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Plot twist: In the last quest I host, it'll turn out my heroes were trapped in the Matrix all along. Matrix? Pah! I know whose quest not to follow. A weapon with fabulous hair and killer shoes, but a weapon nonetheless." Wait till Guts flashes her his own shoes. Quote
Pandora Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Sorrow did it - Buffed up Nyx and Nagure to wipe the floor with the 'saurs. Yes you did, and Nyx would have said thank you if she hadn't been so scatterbrained at the end. It was a cool thing to do, and for all the right reasons. In other news, I shall also be away at the EB Event in Germany from tomorrow, where I shall interrogate Scuba about when we can expect the next quest to Strivvi. My posting will depend on access to Wi-Fi and my level of sobriety... Wait till Guts flashes her his own shoes. Yes, but do they have high heels? Is Guts a short man? Quote
Endgame Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Matrix? Pah! I know whose quest not to follow. Inception, then. Also, I'd rather buff up my party then endlessly grind out money. Quote

Don't forget to take a picture of Scubacarrot's shoes, so we can settle the matter at last. Inception, then. Also, I'd rather buff up my party then endlessly grind out money. Okay, inception will do. "Money over consumables" will be my new chant to match Doc's "stats over roleplay." I guess I never really used consumables too much. I don't recall ever upgrading my weapons either. Where does all my money go, I wonder. Edited June 4, 2013 by Palathadric Quote
Zepher Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Ah! Pandora, Scuba, have fun! Talk lots of Heroica for us! I'm actually studying abroad in Europe next spring (HOPEFULLY) so might be around for a convention or two then. I do one day hope to meet all those I play Heroica and Mafia with... no matter how impractical that may be. And with Scuba and Pandy away, seeing as one is secured a spot and the other is a likely candidate, Guffington may kick off to a slow start. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Yes, but do they have high heels? Is Guts a short man? They're male dancing shoes. I think. Also, I've played Guts as average, which among big burly heroes, is probably a bit shorter than average. Ah! Pandora, Scuba, have fun! Talk lots of Heroica for us! Zepher Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I'm hoping (again, fingers crossed) for Prague. But no matter WHERE I end up (I'm pretty sure I'll be in Europe, just not sure about Prague) I will be traveling lots. Quote
Chromeknight Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Thanks! Where in Europe, if I may ask, it's kinda big. Compared to what? Shoeboxes? Some of us live in a (single!) country the size of continental Europe, with a population density around 4 people per square kilometre. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I'm off too! I have my sigfig and Tesni packed, plus a bag of dice... And Pandy, playing drunk is the best way to play! Quote

Some of us live in a (single!) country the size of continental Europe, with a population density around 4 people per square kilometre. I live in a teeny tiny country, so big compared to that, I guess. Honestly, that just sounds inconvenient more than anything else. Quote

But no matter WHERE I end up (I'm pretty sure I'll be in Europe, just not sure about Prague) I will be traveling lots. I read that as Plague first, admittedly. I find it astounding the state I live in is larger then several counties... combined. (And is still a rather small state, compared to others!) Quote

Very. Meanwhile, trying to wrestle this vaguely back on topic, I'm sure Scuba, Pep and I will soon make it evident whether or not we have Wi-Fi (and whether or not we're drunk, too ) which may aid the planning of your quest's start (I make no presumptions, but Scuba is a guaranteed questie from what I understand). They can turn a set of foes from "we can only take ONE hit from any of these guys, otherwise we're toast" to "OK, we have enough breathing room to ACTUALLY have a chance". I keep one as an emergency use item, just in case for when things go to hell. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 And with Scuba and Pandy away, seeing as one is secured a spot and the other is a likely candidate, Guffington may kick off to a slow start. Nah, I can handle it. Should be pretty straightforward. Rich guy us to a dinner party at his manor, if something goes wrong, we lynch the butler. Simple. Quote
Palathadric Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Nah, I can handle it. Should be pretty straightforward. Rich guy us to a dinner party at his manor, if something goes wrong, we lynch the butler. Simple. Sounds reasonable. Quote
Endgame Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 No, you gotta lynch Guffington. That's the least obvious, while most obvious, answer. Quote
Palathadric Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Lynching the host rarely turns out well...I've tried it. Quote
Endgame Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! Applies to pretty much every unlucky hero ever. Quote
