LordoftheNoobs Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Personally, I think the feather duster should keep its WP low, but have an effect like that it makes the target weakened or something; You could tickle your enemies into submission! :D Quote

Flipz Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Arthur is stacking effects and elemental weaknesses in his favor. There were no objections to it when it was posted in 48 months ago, so My sticky gloves have already paid me back over triple the price. If a nerf is needed, though, nerf I shall. Exactly. In the hands of most Heroes and in ordinary use, Overkill Gloves will earn you a minor amount of extra money. But I'm a Mage--that means I can earn a 2x multiplier on almost every enemy in the game, AND I also have an Artifact that allows me basically a free Fragile on my opponent, and I've bought Meads--thus allowing my an 8x multiplier on attacks. Once I advance to non-Ether classes, I'm automatically losing two of those multipliers (though Mead will stay), which will substantially lower the amount of Overkill I can do. I'm also being careful to let other Heroes whittle down the opponents' health so that the majority of my attack power goes to Overkill. Basically, it's an Artifact that rewards me for the style of play I use anyway--and that's great. Quote

K-Nut Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Alexis will take it! I was going to use that for Assassin Alexis but K-Nut turned me down. I did what now? Althior wears his same outfit everywhere he goes in public. It's a very formal appearance he enjoys. At his home, however, I have a vision of him wearing something along the lines of this. Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 (edited) New player character photo op: what does your pc look like when they are not on a quest in the Hall or around Eubric? Surely they don't lug around all of that armor and weapons everywhere, everyday?! Sylph does. He never takes off the helmet... (Well, he did once, but it was to switch into another helmet, which he has since modified to fit over-top his actual helmet in the form of bits of scraps. He doesn't use it anymore.) ... which begs the question how he eats/uses consumables. I'd say he pours beverages and the like through the front slits on the helmet. Naturally, he also wears his draped cloth robe attire and hand gauntlets all the time too. LordoftheNoobs Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Hey Zepher, not that it matters really, but why is the Doorkeeper Rock/Water? Isn't he a skeleton? :P Not saying you're wrong or anything, I'm just curious/confused, hehehe Quote
Endgame Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Hey, wait a sec, Stealer already said "I don't kill people." Quote
Kintobor Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 He did? Shoot. I should go reread the quest then! I fixed it any ways. Quote
Endgame Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Found the quote: Make no mistake, heroes. I do not like spreading death, but I have no qualms with doling out pain if I find it neccasary. You just murdered my last relative, and I am none too pleased. I am not going to let you walk away from this so easily. You're going to have to convince me verrry quickly not to beat you within an inch of your life, you murderers. Quote
Kintobor Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Okay, beating someone an inch away from death is very close to murder, so I was somewhat right. Quote
Endgame Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Also, do remember you caught him on one of the worst days of his life. He was probably a bit cranky. Quote
Shoker86 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Also, do remember you caught him on one of the worst days of his life. He was probably a bit cranky. It's chain of death . Apprentice is the main reason Stealer is pissed at the crew. But the Apprentice was total douchebag and sadist. I'm sorry for Stealer's feelings but come on Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 He said he doesn't like spreading death, not that he doesn't do it. I think it is perfectly reasonable to believe the Stealer is capable of killing others. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 You may get a talk from Boomingham about that. He yelled at Atramor for the same thing. Docken would probably tell him not to do that, too, if he was Party Leader. I mean, he'd understand it because it's prioritizing stats, but unless this is a situation where the party doesn't need the big Damage-dealers to be, you know, actually putting that Damage to use towards winning the battle... It depends on the situation. Docken is all for heroes trying to break/exploit the system and get huge amounts of Gold, as long as it doesn't come at the expense of winning the battle, finishing the quest, and getting XP and the reward. 53's party looks great together! The entirety of Heroica seems to have a very dark or toned down color vibe. It's a limitation of the time period and genre. I've tried doing minifigs with brighter color schemes, but for the most part they don't look right. (They look almost sci-fi when you throw in the oranges.) One bright color is okay, but it usually has to complement a darker color. Plus there's usually a bright splash thrown in by default because of yellow skin. The Lion Knights are the brightest I've done and sometimes do the bright red and gold scheme, but they pretty much always also have sections of greys and blacks in there, too. (Forestmen might be an exception, if you consider the brown minor enough, although their color scheme works because it's so well-known and almost stereotypical. Though green is usually considered one of the cool colors, even if it is a lighter brighter shade.) Quote

Pyrovisionary Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 (edited) Sarge wears the same thing. Just with a different hat. May I note that this a hat identical to the one he usually wears! Exactly. Depends on which Advanced Class you choose, you could start preparing for that.* Otherwise if you want to deal more Damage, you can start adding some elemental modifiers.*I have no idea what your plans are, but I assume you'll pick Raider. Assassin isn't built for true Damage-dealing and you'd probably want to get a ranged weapon when you already have a good melee one. Black Knight is a good option, but isn't as much of a Damage-dealer and good Gold-gainer as Raider is. Sorcerer is a very versatile class, but won't be able to take full advantage of your main weapon since effects of a weapon aren't inherited when using it for spells. Witch...is a completely different class which can be very powerful, but it doesn't gain Gold so you wouldn't be able to continue upgrading your scissors. I guess if you wanted to roleplay you might pick Black Knight, your character having formerly been in an army. Quote

We didn't need the big damage-dealers to be dealing ginormous amounts of damage, though, that's the thing. There was that one close moment, but I knew I could absorb the damage, and I knew the other Heroes could deal with the other enemies. I'll never put my own pocketbook over the good of the rest of the party--that's not me. (Yes, yes, Wren--roleplaying is a different matter, and if you'll notice, I lost out big time stats-wise from that. Let's leave it at that.) Particularly when it comes to other Heroes gaining experience--only reason I didn't heal Em was because a different Hero would do a better job of it. Edited June 7, 2013 by Flipz Quote

Particularly when it comes to other Heroes gaining experience--only reason I didn't heal Em was because a different Hero would do a better job of it. I admit that I wasn't closely following the quest; I have no problem with what you did if that was the case. I was more just agreeing with what Zeph said and adding that I would do something similar (to what he said) depending on the situation. (Yes, yes, Wren--roleplaying is a different matter, and if you'll notice, I lost out big time stats-wise from that. Let's leave it at that.) Now if you prioritized stats over roleplaying... (Also, the other heroes wouldn't think you're a traitor if you didn't do that.) Quote
