Endgame Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) Immune to SP Reduction. Dequip artifacts, and slow the hero at the same time! Edited June 8, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Or do what Danny does, through a boulder at 'em! Quote
Endgame Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Or do what Danny does, through a boulder at 'em! Or do what Endgame does, and throw 'em off a tower fighting an ominicidal monarch bent on the destruction of mankind. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Or do what Danny does, through a boulder at 'em! Or Turn 'em Into Newts! That's always fun! (And also makes you have to fight melee!) (Or throw them against a counterstiking, lucky, encouraged bitch and her minions! ) You thought Eidolon was harder then Perfect Regret? You guys had to use an Incense for PR, while in the Emperor battle you suffered only 2 KOs... Eidolon certainly was one of the hardest battles ever fought, but I agree that Regret took the cake. From the PLs perspective, Eidolon was under my control until the free-fall, but Regret was a constant challenge. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Or what I do. Make the party lose because the evil bad guy laughed. Quote
Endgame Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I still don't consider that third Fantome battle strictly canon. For now, I'll just think Sorrow had one too many smelling salts. Quote
Endgame Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) I know, but they're still tangentially related. Sort of. My thought process works like a tree, gradually branching outwards - which is why I always start with the villain and let the quest grow from there. First Fantome fight we did get curbstomped, though. I blame the ether cores. Edited June 8, 2013 by Endgame Quote

Endgame Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I'm more referring to the fact that I was crushed by a literal metric ton of them. Quote
Shoker86 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 The Stealer has done nothing wrong! This is escalating quickly Quote
Flipz Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 The Stealer has done nothing wrong! He let the Apprentice get his hands on the Harvester, and then he tricked the last party into heavily dosing four Town Watchmen with powerful hallucinogens! What was he expecting, a medal? Quote
Endgame Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 He let the Apprentice get his hands on the Harvester, and then he tricked the last party into heavily dosing four Town Watchmen with powerful hallucinogens! What was he expecting, a medal? He also just disarmed 5 deadly criminals, and Is making a motive speech that hasn't appeared yet because I'm typing it! Quote
Shoker86 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Flipz, first let the villain explain his motives Then arresting and burning the place down Quote
Flipz Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Flipz, first let the villain explain his motives Then arresting and burning the place down But loot first! Loot BEFORE burning! Quote
Kintobor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 But loot first! Loot BEFORE burning! Something the people of Brendenton could have learned... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Dequip artifacts, and slow the hero at the same time! I think the entire reason Sandy won't let us imbue scrolls in shields is because he wants me to have to spend a turn to switch between artifacts with different immunities. Quote
Endgame Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) ...And there you have it. The Stealer is a former child soldier, turned into a Well-Intentioned Extremist when he lost his family one by one. And all he wants is for people to be able to live simply if they so choose. Edited June 9, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Alright, he's said his speech, let's beat 'em up guys! Quote
Shoker86 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) Endgame, damn, you make me feel bad for fighting this guy. Kintobor, what a speech. Shake the mountain boys. Edited June 9, 2013 by Shoker86 Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Stop arguing with the Stealer; just tell him how he's taking away people's freedom and making their choices meaningless by using the Harvester to follow him, blah blah blah, then yell "For loot and XP and because we're heroes so we don't need a reason to kill stuff!". Then charge. Simple. Quote
