Endgame Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) Completing the next battle in the quest marks its halfway point, 70ers, by the by. Stop arguing with the Stealer; just tell him how he's taking away people's freedom and making their choices meaningless by using the Harvester to follow him, blah blah blah, then yell "For loot and XP and because we're heroes so we don't need a reason to kill stuff!". Then charge. Simple. Then proceeds to curb stomp entire party via QM powers. Edited June 9, 2013 by Endgame Quote

Oh, are they not meant to fight him, is it not the boss battle yet? Oops (Though considering who the QM is, maybe the boss battle does start at the halfway point. ) Quote
Endgame Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) Endgame? 2 battle quest where the boss is reached in a week? Edited June 9, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Endgame? 2 battle quest where the boss is reached in a week? No no, that's me! 71ers, you guys are at the halfway point! It's a short quest, but I hope you're liking it! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Endgame? 2 battle quest where the boss is reached in a week? It's not a two-battle quest. This is the boss now, so that means, say...four more battles? You said you wanted to host a shorter quest; maybe the only way for you to do that is to have the boss battle happen earlier. Quote
Endgame Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) 4 battles, 1 two-phaser. I'm being honest on this one. Besides, it'd be hard not to host a quest short then 48. Edited June 9, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Besides, it'd be hard not to host a quest short then 48. One of my goals is to host a quest, epic on the scale of Quest 4* in both in-universe size and real world length, blowing away all records for long quests but with the majority of the quest being story, not battles. Some day. *Relative epic-ness, that is. When Quest 4 was hosted, it was far longer than any other quest and gave the heroes a much larger amount of freedom in a much larger location that they were allowed to roam around in. I railroaded them at the end because at the time it seemed like the quest was taking too long, even if it's now nothing compared to Quest 48. Quote

Flipz Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Arthur is immediately disbarred due to pressing false rape charge. Attempted rape, makes it a legit charge. As much as mindrape really should be classed as the real thing, legally it's attempted. And even though it's the Apprentice who committed the crime, the Stealer is fully complicit as an accessory, and due to the severity of the crime and the way that the Watch operates anyway...well. Endgame Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 So you're admitting your entire division are a bunch of hacks. If being related ot the criminal makes it your crime, then I'm afraid the Ziegfrieds would be shot dead by now. Quote
Flipz Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Also, to be fair, no one is giving Arthur a full picture of things, so he's still going to make mistakes. He's got grounds for arrest, though, especially on the assault charges, and when the Stealer sics his goons on us, that's another charge of assaulting an officer AND resisting arrest, and most likely some obstruction of justice charges as well. Don't mess with me and law, I play Ace Attorney. So you're admitting your entire division are a bunch of hacks. If being related to the criminal makes it your crime, then I'm afraid the Ziegfrieds would be shot dead by now. I think you're missing how 'accessory' works. Quote

CMP Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Go ahead and play lawman, Arthur. There are two Bonaparte cadets who know just how righteous you really are. Quote
Flipz Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Note to self: need to use this idea in Heroica. Too late. If I can just power through the last few sets, Quest should be ready by the time Sandy gets back from vacation. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 If being related ot the criminal makes it your crime, then I'm afraid the Ziegfrieds would be shot dead by now. The Town Watch is an incompetent force in a city with no real law and no strong united government to enforce it - as one of the Houses in power, the Ziegfrieds are their own law. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) Something the people of Brendenton could have learned... This is basically what the discision making sounded like during the riots: "Alright boys! The Lord's taking our loot and xp, so let's burn our loot and then the rest of the city!" "But what about the Children?" "Burn them too. A fire needs kindling." And then they were all... "Who's that madman with the torch? He's burning down the Inn where the Lord and the Hinckwells were meeting!" "Let's give him a medal once we finish putting this fire out!" Oh riots, you bring out the worst in all of us. Speaking of Brendenton, my next Quest (which I'm almost finished building Sets for) starts out there. It's hosted by the Hinckwells again, but this time there may be an opportunity for Shadeaux Reputation. We'll finally see the Hinckwell Brendenton-Branch building, and we'll visit Sundestia's capital too, although only briefly. Fun fact: Brenden is a bastardization of the German word for Burning. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited June 9, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
