Dannylonglegs Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) Sorry, TBW, 70 has kept me occupied. Also, The Stealer is a workaholic. Your catsuit distracted him for about 3 seconds (la petit mort has a very different second meaning ). Although, Karie going down the same path as Violetta (one night in Ulric/Stealer's bed and they're convinced to be their Harley Quinn.) They don't call him the Stealer for nothing! OOC: . I totally approve! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited June 9, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Because he fabricated the past of two strong individuals, without fully recruitng either of them. Just because he was bored? Yes, this is around the time that it's revealed that he's actually the Immaculately Perfect Regret. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) Yes, this is around the time that it's revealed that he's actually the Immaculately Perfect Regret. No, I thought we already went over this: he's actually the Apprentice of the Ultimate Stealer, who's a servant of the New Gladius who are Pawns of the Immaculately Perfect Regret... Who's cooperating with another Omnicidal maniac with his own cult and whatnot. That's why it's called Endgame Syndrome. Also, Question: When do you guys think I should host this Quest I'm working on? Should I wait for one of the current Quests to let out? It's a continuation of the Yoro and Dice arch (no Fleur, sorry all), so should I wait for some of the crew from 62, or start anew? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited June 9, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Kintobor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 It's up to you! I do want to confront Fleur again, (this time with a boat load of consumables!) but letting new people in would be fun. There's a lot Karie needs to do after 70, like kill Sorrow and Nagure. Quote
Cutcobra Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 (edited) Welp, Arthur, Sorrow, and Nagure, you better run. Cause Karie's coming. Run, *insert any of the 3 names here*, RUN! Edited June 9, 2013 by Eric Su Quote

Well, Fleur's not going to be in this one (surprisingly enough). It's going to take place in Sundestia and deal with the results of the riot and the Hinckwells' reaction to Fleur's actions (and the Shadeaux's to the Hinckwells'... believe it or not the Shadeaux do have a Brendenton chapter, but it was too small to serve Fleur's purposes.) If you want to meet Dice, Yoro, or Bart (or some of the other Brendenton-based NPCs, but not Dill...) then this is the Quest for you. Fleur and the Po Brothers are both in Eubric. My Next Quest (which I'm still in the planning stages of) and my 4th Quest (which I'm well ahead of in-terms of planning, but can't host until after my third... hopefully I can do in around Halloween) will deal somewhat with Fleur or Beyland Enterprises, and sometime after my fifth Quest will be Fleur's last stab, as well as the conclusion of the Dice and Yoro Arch. This one coming up will be heavy on the characters of Yoro and Dice, hopefully. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited June 10, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Kintobor Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 "My name is Karie Alderflask. You killed my sister. Prepare to die." In all honesty, Patricia killed Kayla, so if the opportunity does arise in which I get a stab (pun totally intended!) to kill her, that's the first thing out of Karie's mouth.Wait wait wait: Arthur is Heroica's Doctor Who? Dannylonglegs Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Because I couldn't save them. Because I can't heal the wounds of Eubric. Because I'm the Hero Eubric deserves, not the one it needs...a Doctor." This City has been sick... This City needs healing... This City needs... Medicine... In fact I'd go so far as to say, that what this City really needs.... Is a Doctor. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited June 10, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Wait wait wait: Arthur is Heroica's Doctor Who? Nope. I don't think The Doctor himself exists in Heroica...but Arthur's father basically fulfills the same role. It's kind of scary, actually...I had written up Arthur's father's adventures a LONG time back, even before I sent Endgame notes on the character for the first confrontation with The Regret (visible in the interlude in Quest 48). I hadn't seen a single episode of Doctor Who until last week--"The Pandorica Opens" and "The Big Bang" were my first. I'm going to chalk it up to wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff. Well, that and Arthur's immortal, so he's going to go through some Tennant stuff as well. Particularly given the fact that he learned of his immortality relatively recently and only as of the END of 53 did he realize the implications of that fact. Again--scary. Written perfectly into existing plot without even realizing it... Edited June 10, 2013 by Flipz Quote

Flipz Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 No, I just randomly decided to watch an episode, as I happened to have time for the first time in a long time--and I got hooked. Quote
Kintobor Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 All my friends are trying to make me a Whovian. They haven't got me yet. I'd probably really like the show, it's just each episode is really long, and I don't have a lot of time to sit down and watch David Tenant be awesome so... yeah. Quote
Cutcobra Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Now you just need the perfect occasion for Arthur to say "Allons-y". Quote
Flipz Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 DVR it--it's only 45 minutes an episode, and really that's a better deal than most American programming. Unfortunately, neither BBC channel I have access to are airing reruns this week (boo! ), so I have to find the episodes I can on YouTube. Quote

No, Netflix isn't, but if you have an account (or can con someone into giving you their info, like I did), Dr. Who is free. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

I know Netflix has a free trial mode, but I think it only lasts like a month, and after that you have to pay. Or have they switched to a Hulu-like model? Quote
