Flare Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Does Kinto change it too often, or do we not change it enough? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Well, overall, I probably have had as many avatars as her, but I've also been playing for almost two years... So yeah well I think we need to find a balance Quote

Brickdoctor Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Chauncy looks a lot like Wren. I swear to god, Zepher, if that's for a reason... He does have the original Luke head, and Wren uses the original Leia head, so...But he doesn't look as much like Wren as the person in black behind him, with the black robes and long black hair... Bricksandparts Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 That picture reminds me of an idea I had a while ago. I think the marketplace should add a brewing stand that heroes can use to create potions from items collected throughout the game. It would create a wider range of drops possible from enemies that are useful. What do other people think of the idea? Quote

There are enough drops already. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I'm not trying to make the game more complicated, one of my concerns is that drops are just becoming a bunch of artifacts and stuff. This would help balance it out in my opinion. I just wanted to hear people's thoughts on the idea. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 How would it balance it out as the QMs decide what is dropped? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 It would make the QMs more likely to drop a potion ingredient than to drop yet another artifact, hence making this game last longer. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) Great special! They will wet themselves with blood. It would make the QMs more likely to drop a potion ingredient than to drop yet another artifact, hence making this game last longer. Alchemy, I'd like to see a Qm pull that off as well as WBD did. Brickdoctor Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 QMs already drop plenty of consumables. And how does it help balance the game if a player can create whatever consumable they want? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 They couldn't simply create whatever consumable they wanted, they would need to obtain different ingredients to make different consumables. The more useful the consumable, the rarer the ingredients. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 While I somewhat like the idea B&P as it adds some more variety, I think QM's just need to do a better job of how much loot and what kind of loot they drop. Quote
Flare Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Alchemy, I'd like to see a Qm pull that off as well as WBD did. Flare! What?! Quote

The more useful the consumable, the rarer the ingredients. Yeah, that doesn't make things complicated at all. So more stuff to track in inventories, more items to have a resale/trade value and a chart to tell which ingredients go to which consumable. I agree with WBD, QMs need to drop more/varied consumables and more gold! Quote

That'd be interesting, but that is sort of the point of the Alchemist class already, minus the component requirement, which, maybe, the Guild offers for free to their budding alchemists. On the other hand, there could be items like scroll which enable different potions for alchemists, though I'm afraid thinking that one out is beyond me. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Thank you for the idea, but as others have said, it makes the game needlessly complicated. I don't think QMs need a wider array of drops, just focus more on basic consumables and gold. Quote
