Zepher Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Hopefully you haven't seen any similar to that in real life. But yes, I agree, Pie's characters have got it where it counts. As for the Grating Stones - I don't mind them being sold to Guts. I think it actually levels the playing field a little - he's helping other characters catch up to him that way. That being said, Boomingham doesn't know about Guts' offer, and would probably keep his stone for himself. I think everyone is willing to help each other out, and I don't mind Scuba playing the game smartly, but I doubt that even with that offer we'll see every stone go his way. And yes, I'm SO happy the Black Knights have finally been upgraded. It's been one of my longest crusades, having hosted Thothy twice. Thank you for continuing to be an incredibly reasonable and open game manager, Sandy. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 It makes me very worried The thing is, I'm pretty sure that there were more than one velocinoid... Where are the others? Thats also worrying... Clever automaton. For now, you'll just have to wait and see. Jeaux does a quick check of the area to see where the other velocinoids might be Quote
UsernameMDM Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Hoke would sell his grating stone for guts for 2 upgrades worth of gold. Quote
Sandy Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 Why didn't you save it to sell to Guts? Two reasons: 1) I didn't know there was such an option. 2) Ellaria didn't know there was such an option. So that's why. Quote

Flipz Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 It's been, what, less than 24 hours? And I've already lost count of how many drinks Guts has had. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Clever automaton. For now, you'll just have to wait and see. You know what they say, you'll be staring at a velocinoid when the attack comes. Not from the front, but from the side, from the other two noids you didn't even know were there. Because Velocinoid's a pack hunter, you see, he uses coordinated attack patterns and he is out in force today. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Moment (day) of judgment: Does Thormy get a chance at some more Shadeaux rep? I'm hoping so You're not the only one! Thothwick wants to be a Dragoon too, y'know! What am I supposed to do with all this useless Ziegfried rep? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I guess this is what Brickdoctor feels like, people conspiring against you. That being said, Boomingham doesn't know about Guts' offer, and would probably keep his stone for himself. 2) Ellaria didn't know there was such an option. Stats over roleplaying, stats over roleplaying! It's been, what, less than 24 hours? And I've already lost count of how many drinks Guts has had. He's a Rogue; it's what he's supposed to do. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I think that was the best tirade I've seen, ever. Real or fictional. Love Illdria and crew. We all do! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Palathadric Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 We all do! Yes...but I secretly want to kill Jules, and Zasies, and Knife-Tongue. Quote
Zepher Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I'll try updates, but I'm going to be on a whirlwind adventure for the next 48 hours or so. Doesn't mean I don't love you - and I think the quests have been chugging along pretty decently so far. 68ers... as I'm sure you can tell, this is near the end. I'd love to see Guts get too drunk. I think it would be a funny choice for his character. Scuba has thus far been practical with his bad megablocks ness, which is what makes Guts so believably awesome. He's powerful, but he's getting on in years, and EVERYONE accidentally drinks too much from time to time. Guts is cool because he's able to make mistakes, feel tired, get too drunk, commit social faux-paux, and still destroy his foes in a blink of an eye. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) Guts actually got too drunk early in his Heroica career. I believe I wrote something stupid about him waking up on the roof of the Cathedral of Commerce. Edited June 14, 2013 by Scubacarrot Quote
Zepher Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Exactly, there you go. I know Boomingham went on a gross binge last time he had a birthday. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Docken thinks heroes should only get drunk to get stat buffs. Quote
Scorpiox Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Docken thinks heroes should only drunk to get stat buffs. You really thought so? Quote
Sandy Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 68ers... as I'm sure you can tell, this is near the end. Well, you've got five days time to end it, before I will have to bow out. I can of course give the control of Ellaria to someone else for whatever's left of the quest if it continues past Wednesday... Quote
Zepher Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) There's just one battle after this, really. So- you'll probably miss the VERY end of the battle, and then the farewells. I'm sorry. Unless everyone figures out this puzzle super quickly and we breeze through the battle by Tuesday! It's possible... but not likely. BUT POSSIBLE! Edited June 14, 2013 by Zepher Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 @The Syndicate- awesome so far! Great idea with the inn. We need more quests where you have to pay money to spend the night. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 @The Syndicate- awesome so far! Great idea with the inn. We need more quests where you have to pay money to spend the night. Actually, that was allowed in Quest 4; the heroes could pay Gold to spend the night in an inn in order to rest and be guaranteed not to be attacked in the night by a random encounter. They just never chose to do that. Quote
