Well then I totally agree that the helmet is broken. Even though The Legonater made the item, he, I, and Scuba all spent about 900 gold to obtain the gems and imbue them to make us immune. But I guess we're not the only ones who that has happened to (perma-poisoned weapons, high SP for non-Knights...)

I tend to agree. Even if there is no healing it's pretty hard on heroes who spent all that money to buy and imbue gems. Also it will probably cut down the number of elemental damage-dealing enemies which would render their purchases even less useful, but... :sceptic:

As Thalion says, real life is more important that roleplaying and stats

As soon as our game manager leaves, people start spreading these false doctrines.

I think that for the first time since I started playing, really, I'm actually in a position where I want to use or have everything in my equips/inventory and have nothing that I'm trying to get rid of.

Am I the only one that keeps reading Selkreeth as Selkath?

Maybe I've been playing to much KotOR.

KotOR never interested me that much, actually, (I got to try it out without buying it; I was pleasantly surprised to find out a few years ago that my library actually had it for XBox.) so that's probably one of the few areas of the Star Wars EU in which I don't know enough to make connections in names and other references.

Nope, I've been playing KOTOR during my free time at work for the last month or so and have had a hard time not reading it that way.

Who invented this Selkreeth species anyways??

I've got a lot of nice information on them, thanks to CallMePie. They seem pretty cool, I hope Pie explores them a little more, or someone else does it.

I was going to have one in my upcoming quest (this fall) but I need to get more info about them... Time to PM CMP I guess

I have been wanting to use that head for a while, but didn't want to make up yet another species. I feel like I've done enough, so I'm happy to be featuring two of my other favorite species from QMs: Wereraven from Danny and a Selkreeth from CMP!

It's Immune to Healing now, too, JimB.

Sandy has not made an official ruling yet (and won't be able to for a while), and even so, I think the helmet is powerful enough to merit a built-in doomed-effect or something to balance it out.

Also, I have not read Quest 69 yet (for shame!), but is that where the Selkreeth is from?

Posted

Yes indeed, and CMP has already thought up a very cool history and set of traits for them that can very nicely be rolled into Lady Felix, who I very much like already. I hope you guys are enjoying the NPCs, I don't think I've EVER introduced this many new ones in one quest. I don't generally like it, but the quest sort of mandated it.

I'm referring to the helmet, not the effect. Though that is something for Sandy to consider, maybe.

Selkreeth come from the Kalma Marshlands.

Thusfar All of the NPCs are great! As might be expected, I particularly like Dr. Everstien. That recent picture of him staring at the viewer is perfect!

CMP, how did the Iron Mongrel's drop all of a sudden change from Heavy Armor to 'Light Armor'!? :look: It just seems sort of odd :look:

Sylph's Shrapnel Bow lowered the SP, so I changed the name to prevent any confusion. The shield used to be SP: 8 when Sylph first ran into Dan.

Posted

CMP, I don't think Sylph's bow would work that way, because it only effects the battle. If he were attacking one of us it wouldn't permanently remove our SP. :sceptic:

Although it is a great idea.

The SP is tied directly to the item, sorry. :shrug_confused: I'm kind of surprised DLL didn't catch it when the SP on the shield dropped to 7.

Noooooo!

I wanted that heavy armour!

eh, I can see the funny side though.

Really, no objections from me, I think it's fine missing the slightly improved loot.

Blame Sylph for this tactical miscalculation.

It'll drive him crazy. :devil::tongue:
