Bioniclover Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Tesni had a lot of gold sat in her purse, deciding to shop before her quest she walked into the market. Stopping at Portia's she bought 2 Meads (2x10= 20. 480-20= 460) and 2 Nostrums (2x20+ 40. 460-40= 420). Pausing as she left, she decided to buy 1 Phoenix Essence (50, 420-50 = 370) At Anwyl's stall she upgraded Cysgodion to WP:10, (9x10= 90, 10x10=100 100+90= 190 370-190 = 180) Since you're a Berserker, are you gonna buy a Shield? CMP Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 (edited) Say...who has the Sapper at the moment? I tried to buy it from UsernameMDM, but not only is he on a quest now, he seems to have lost it... Edited December 3, 2011 by CallMePieOrDie Quote
CMP Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 This stupid dagger better be worth it...I'm completely broke otherwise. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Let me know how it works. The only way I could use it was as a Black Knight, and I probably won't explore that class. Just goes against my character. Quote
Zepher Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I'm sorry if I get the stats wrong guys, please do correct me. This truly is my least favorite part of QMing. It's the only time I really have to pull from a bunch of other sources and keep everything straight in my head. Other than this I just need two copies of my thread, Photobucket, and the document I have my notes i, but here I have like photo bucket and a ton of different topic tabs open. Sorry if I screwed anything up. Also, thanks Brickdoctor. I'll allow all of you to correct me and asks questions, then I'll update the stats. Quote
Khorne Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Since you're a Berserker, are you gonna buy a Shield? @Sandy: I have a question about this, too. Do advanced classes need to buy the extra equipment they can use, or do they receive it when training for a new class? E.g.: do Berserkers (or any other mixed class with a knight) get a shield? Do non-mages who advance to an ether-based class get their gem for free or do they need to acquire it somewhere else first? Quote

I'm interested too, some classes that need a gem or shield might get one as it is a vital part of their class. Others, such as druid probably won't get a ranged weapon if they start as cleric because it isn't really nessercary. Quote

Nobody gets anything free for the advanced classes, since it would be unfair to those who've already spent money acquiring the items. So shields and gems will have to be bought if you don't have one already. For example, if a Berserker does not have a shield, their "defended counter" and "defended damage" rolls will not take SP into account. Likewise, if a player choosing any of the mage-based advanced classes lacks a gem, they cannot use spells. Now, an important announcement: MY QUESTS WILL CONTINUE IN AN HOUR! BOTH OF THEM! IT'S A PROMISE! I'm extremely sorry for holding them back, I've just been very busy with life. Quote

Real life is more important than an internet game. No need to apologize . Quote
Sandy Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 I love the dragon Masked, It's a truly great MOC.b Me too! Now, what is your thunder-elemental summon spirit, Masked Builder? Like it says on the rules, you're allowed to have one spirit per each element you possess. I realize this too. Venom has become mostly useless for harder quests now, maybe something could be done to give it more of an effect (more than 1 damage). Maybe determine the severity of the poison by the WP of the weapon that inflicted it? What are those distinct weaknesses? The ones already mentioned, with the Berserker only being able to target one enemy at a time? For the venom issue, I'm thinking about introducing an item (an accessory, perhaps) that would boost the damage caused by poisoning (very effective on witches). And of course QMs are always welcome to introduce more lethal venoms. The weaknesses in my opinion are that the Berserkers can only attack one target at a time, and the Assassins lack heavy damage-dealing potential. But if the people demands it, I can make the two jobs weaker still. For example, I can degrade the Berserker's "Extra Critical Furious Hit" into just "Critical Furious Hit", and replace the Assassin's "Lethal Aim" with something else. How would those changes sound like? Quote

K-Nut Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Sandy, are you sure that's Salmanda or is it Kaliphlin? Quote

Sandy Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Hehe. I love the connections in your Quests Sandy. The Hinckwell Crates turning up was a lovely touch. Thanks! I love making that kind of connections, since it ties the otherwise separate quests together and builds the world as a whole. Quote

Zepher Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Brickdoctor, I love everything about your Quest. Also, fun fact that I didn't know, Docken and Boomingham haven't ever met. It's strange when you QM someone, and you assume your characters know each other. And, just because I'm a nerd, and because I get confused easily, I just went backwards through the whole Heroica Hall Topic and both my Quests so I could find out which heroes I actually know... Just to make sure Thothwick doesn't mention someone/thing he doesn't know about, I've actually created a Microsoft Word document detailing everyone he's met (players and NPC's), what he thinks of them, and what they've talked about/done together. Zepher Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Yeah, would have been smart to do from the beginning, I had to backtrack instead. It's funny to me, actually, because of course we as the players know all the other characters, but I've never talked to Skrall or Cronk or Docken or Haldor or any of those folks that I, as a player, know very well, but Boomingham, as a character, has no idea about.
