Flipz Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Regulator. Oh yes, Regulator and Skirmisher are both on the list for Expert Classes...I'm looking for a new Advanced Class in the interrum. If you want Shadeaux rep, my next quest will have the opportunity, and I'll probably wait until your party gets back since Zeph wants Boomingham to go on it. Sheesh, that'll make, like, three Quests in a row with Boomingham. Chi Monk would make a brilliant roleplay choice if you can get the reputation. I'd have to disagree on this one. Arthur transforming from a fully-fledged spell-slinger into a close-range fighter with no contact to the ether whatsoever doesn't make sense to me. Pep has already seen and approved of my Chi Monk costume. I'm debating whether or not to sign up for the Q50 continuation, actually. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I want in it! Zeph, railroad us to the loot and XP so Scuba can get back in time to go on my quest! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I understand that the classes can be played in a myriad of different ways, but regulator is a class entirely designed for melee fighting which doesn't fit Arthur to any degree; and I can't see how Flipz could roleplay that change. I agree. That's the reason I'm not going Dragoon, even though it was my first choice. I'm still reluctant to go Alchemist with its lack of ether. I think I'll try it out though, at least for one Quest. Arthur, you could try going Sage. It could fit your RP experience, I think. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Guts could convince Arthur that magic is evil and he should stop his sinful ways. Then he'd be free to do awesome melee combat. Zeph, railroad us to the loot and XP so Scuba can get back in time to go on my quest! We can just randomly pick one of the guests right away in the next time jump. In the confusion, Guffington won't die, and we'd appear to have solved everything! Quote

A lot of characters seem to distrust Mages...what happens when a Mage starts to distrust himself? Quote

Scubacarrot Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 A lot of characters seem to distrust Mages...what happens when a Mage starts to distrust himself? Exactly. All Guts has to do is make comments about how Arthur's hat is silly and that magic is for noobs and he will realize what to do. Quote
Flipz Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Guts could convince Arthur that magic is evil and he should stop his sinful ways. Then he'd be free to do awesome melee combat. Or that could happen. Heck, on a Quest with Boomers and Guts? And with Hoke, whose awesomeness is primarily from his Knight-hood and not so much from his spell-slinging? Arthur'll likely Seal himself on the first day! In the confusion, Guffington won't die, and we'd appear to have solved everything! I say we start a lynch mob and then frame the butler. JimB can be the Rouge, I'll be the n00b Townie, and you can be Scumbacarrot and 'act like a dick'. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Or that could happen. Heck, on a Quest with Boomers and Guts? Brickdoctor Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I think Guts can do that. Who is the butler? Um... is it U'Ordiussum? Hey, can we get a Jar Jar Death Scene in at the same time? Quote
Zepher Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Sheesh, that'll make, like, three Quests in a row with Boomingham. You're turning into a regular ol' Pandora or WBD. And not to squash hopes (my own included) but Guffington won't be the shortest quest. I doubt it will be over within a month, though we'll certainly be SUPER close by then. So it depends on when BD wants to launch. I do want to quest with Guts... Quote

It's more of a tongue-in-cheek suggestion than a serious one. Just picking on Flipz about not being sure what side he is on. Or that could happen. Heck, on a Quest with Boomers and Guts? And with Hoke, whose awesomeness is primarily from his Knight-hood and not so much from his spell-slinging? Arthur'll likely Seal himself on the first day! Needs to happen. Quote

Scorpiox Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 "Impressive. Most impressive." Benji stated simply, impressed. That is a beautiful sentence. I say we start a lynch mob and then frame the butler. JimB can be the Rouge, I'll be the n00b Townie, and you can be Scumbacarrot and 'act like a dick'. Perhaps Haldor could come along and initiate scum flailing when a strange man named 'Def' starts pissing him off. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Wait, Legonater, you gave out five Mythril Shards in one quest? Just say NO to mythril. Mystic Knight ENCHANTMENT 4 Life! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I think he is like the assistant. Hmm... maybe one of the servers, then. They're new and we don't know where they came from, and they're sort of dressed like butlers. Perhaps Haldor could come along and initiate scum flailing when a strange man named 'Def' starts pissing him off. Scum or dumb. That is a beautiful sentence. ...You have controlled your fear. Now release your anger! No, wait that part doesn't make sense in this context. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 By the way, my sidequest is pretty awesome (going as well). Quote
Kintobor Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'd love to tell how my side quest is going, but I'm strapped to a chair and being hit with a rubber chicken repeatedly. Quote
Flipz Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Just say NO to mythril. Mystic Knight ENCHANTMENT 4 Life! Yeah, I am tempted to go MK until I hit Expert. 3 of my intended Expert Classes use a shield, so it'd be a good investment...if only Tonics weren't so expensive (though I Elixirs now, they've saved my megablocks twice now. Really, really glad I had those. ) Quote
Scubacarrot Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'd love to tell how my side quest is going, but I'm strapped to a chair and being hit with a rubber chicken repeatedly. She just continues to get into that sort of situations... Karie is a masochist, isn't she? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 It'll probably depend on when Endgame finishes. (Which is really anybody's guess. ) He told me early July, but I don't know if that accounts for the 'Secret Beyond Perfect Immaculate Under-God Regret' fight. I was hoping that it'd end before my Quest started so I could pick-up Karie if she wanted to come, buit I don't know if it will... And it is Endgame. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
