Zepher Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Why don't you talk to people, Docken, and try to figure it out instead of just sitting in the discussion thread. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Yeah, I am tempted to go MK until I hit Expert. My plan is to stay MK until I get can Dragoon, which will hopefully happen before level 40. Even if I can't wear the Medal of Glory I hope to get in the Fields of Glory. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 She just continues to get into that sort of situations... Karie is a masochist, isn't she? She really does. I'd love to tell how my side quest is going, but I'm strapped to a chair and being hit with a rubber chicken repeatedly. At least she's not getting turned into a chicken. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Flipz Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 He told me early July, but I don't know if that accounts for the 'Secret Beyond Perfect Immaculate Under-God Regret' fight. I was hoping that it'd end before my Quest started so I could pick-up Karie if she wanted to come, buit I don't know if it will... And it is Endgame. ~Insectoid Aristocrat I wouldn't mind getting to sit around the Hall for a little while. The less-than-24-hour turnaround from 66 to 70 was definitely too short for my liking--I barely had time to chat with other Heroes, didn't get to talk to De'kra at all. I'm also hoping I can chat with Dyric ay some point before I leave again, and maybe Nerwen as well if she's around. Quote

Kintobor Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) She just continues to get into that sort of situations... Karie is a masochist, isn't she? I think Karie's just a glutton for misery. In fact, it's now become an exact science to figure out how much pain and suffering one can make Karie go through on a single quest. Negative particles are attracted to the positive Karie, and often out of nowhere, and at random intervals. I'm still waiting for the day when a quest comes around where something awful doesn't happen to Karie! At least she's not getting turned into a chicken. ~Insectoid Aristocrat She already is one. Karie's not cut out for Heroica's standards, and I think I've made it clear for awhile now that she's squeamish around a lot of things, especially body mutilation and dead bodies. Both Zepher and I have felt it, and it's been hitting me particularly hard. I know I've not been up to my usual standards this Quest, and I really do think it's primarily from exhaustion. Quote

It's nothing but a simple meander down beautiful countryside with the chance to explore the plentiful surrounding cities, and delve into the wild and verdant forests of the Grauwood Kingdom. It'll be easy money and a good vacation from the usual stress and betrayals. Nothing will go wrong. You have my word. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Then he can worry about all the strategizing and we have to do is read scrolls and tank hits. Although I am getting a sort of break while the other players do this whole roleplaying mystery thing. I can't believe you haven't figured out the answer yet. Tomas got converted to Scum, and now that he's in the inner circle he's going to convert the Serial Killer to scum and feed all the Power Roles to them two at a time. Hmm, I wonder if there ARE Power Roles among the guests... Quote

Endgame Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) For the record, I am saving "Super Hyper Absolutely Positively God on Earth Reaper Regret" for my final quest. Actually, The Regret has already mentioned what his name in his final appearance will be... Also: Give me a few to construct sets, 70ers! Time is of the essence! I've estimated my battles to be, in order, from 1 to 5... 6/6/8/8/18 rounds. And so far, I've hit each one on the head. Also, yeah, apologies for the 66/70 jump. Edited June 24, 2013 by Endgame Quote

I want Haldor to quest with Karie at some point, I'm sure that it would be very enjoyable. Karie's personality just makes me want to read every quest she takes part it. Quote
Palathadric Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 For some reason I am suspecting that there will be a velocinoid outbreak in Salmanda sometime soon I disagree. Salmanda is full of newts. The newt will overwhelm and destroy the velocinoids with their extreme sliminess and newtity. *Can deal full Damage from the Back Row and thus has more effective SP* Actually, no. Sarge's dual-strike weapon allows him to, in a sense, deal full damage from the back row. Of course, the Dread Hat... Then of course, there's the fact that half the time when the party will be counting on Sarge to absorb a free hit he will disappear and let someone else take it. If you want Shadeaux rep, my next quest will have the opportunity, and I'll probably wait until your party gets back since Zeph wants Boomingham to go on it. Yay! I wouldn't mind Pretzel gaining some more Shadeaux reputation and a Brickdoctor quest should be interesting. I kind of have the opinion that we will be finished before Boomingham is, but the longer we can drag out this quest the more loot CMP has to give us...I think. I love the pace that you have been updating us in general on this quest, CMP. Quote

Palathadric Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Guts could convince Arthur that magic is evil and he should stop his sinful ways. Then he'd be free to do awesome melee combat. Or Pretzel could knock Arthur on the head with his Cross of Light to make him "come to his senses" and then steal all of his scrolls. Somehow I think Nur will get the stealing done before Pretzel has a chance though. I say we start a lynch mob and then frame the butler. JimB can be the Rouge, I'll be the n00b Townie, and you can be Scumbacarrot and 'act like a dick'. Or one of you could just be a n00b rouge who 'acts like a dick.' Quote
Flipz Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) Then of course, there's the fact that half the time when the party will be counting on Sarge to absorb a free hit he will disappear and let someone else take it. OK, this is like the bajillionth time someone has said it, and it's frustrating. Hide does NOT pass on Free Hits to another player, and neither does Special Dodge. Yes, SD does pass on the Special to another player, but NOT the Free Hits. The same holds true for the Cloak of Deception--the dodged Free Hit hits one of the ENEMIES, NOT another Hero. Whatever happened to battles that only took 1-3 rounds? I know, right? Edited June 24, 2013 by Flipz Quote

Plus the Mail of the Renegade Commander, all the Raw Meats, dealing Blinded, the immunity to SP-reduction, immunity to Fragile, immunity to Badly Poisoned, potential immunity to Instant KO and Doomed... under optimum conditions (full HP, Aura, only one enemy), I can tank a Free Hit from an enemy of Level 568 without being Knocked Out. Whatever happened to battles that only took 1-3 rounds? I plan to have some of those in my next quest. Might have to make them only award half-XP, though, in case there are too many battles. Quote
