Flare Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Drake Fact of the Day Drake has eaten his favourite food a certain amount of times. The number is the previous page. Why do you think anyone cares? Stop posting such random pointless comments, its irritating. Quote
Scorpiox Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Hoptet leant forward, and subtly pointed at Benji. "We should tell of the Metasimi story, '[Don't feed the Bog-monster]'!" The couple laughed. Ahh... I see what you did there. But it's actually painfully true. I'm hoping everyone has gathered by this point that xxlrocka's character exists only to 'troll' the community. I know it sounds unsympathetic, but players have given advice time and time again for him to respect the game more and try to play properly, but it doesn't appear to have sunk in. Either he is still unable to understand (which I doubt), or he is deliberately continuing because he realises how much his behaviour is irritating and enjoys the attention. It seems the best thing for everyone to do is simply ignore Drake until xxlrocka matures quite a bit. Quote
Flare Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) Ahh... I see what you did there. *snip... So true* The thing is - Benji can't stand morons, and gets a deep urge to murder anyone that does something idiotic. Anyways, I need for someone to anger Benji, so I jumped on the opportunity Edited June 28, 2013 by Flare Quote

Strange, we really don't have many unintelligent heroes around. Most characters are pretty well rounded in terms of intelligence, charisma, and wisdom. I've been playing a little D&D for the first time and am intrigued by the differences and similarities I'm seeing for the first time between Heroica and it. Quote

I think it would be fun to see what everyone thinks their stats are.... With 18 being the limit of course. Even if you think it would be more than 18. I'd say Sylph (at the moment)'s got: Str: 13 Dex: 15 Con: 11 Wis: 18 Cha: 16 Int: 18 And yes, as a DnD player, I am aware that the line-up is sort of high. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Zepher Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I will be playing DnD for the first time when I arrive back at college, and I'm pretty excited for it. However, for the time being, I can't really comment on what my stats would be. And yes, I'd say we have mostly intelligent characters. That being said, I think Boomingham has a very different sort of intelligence than I do in real life. And he drinks sometimes too heavily, and does stupid things. That's a trait we share. Quote
Flipz Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) Sounds like he's got low WIS, then. Fitting, given he's not inclined towards being a caster type. Arthur's got: STR 8 DEX 12 CON 11 INT 18 (may take 20 on Knowledge (Arcana [Zoot and Chaos]) rolls) WIS 16 CHA 14 (-4 permanent penalty to all associated checks due to former Zoot worship) (+2 bonus to all casting rolls, from Tome of Chaos) He'll be taking some permanent penalties in order to earn additional boosts once he swaps classes. Well, you roll 4 d6s and take the best 3 (and add them up) and do that 6 times then you apply the numbers to your 6 stats as you please. 10 is average. 18 is nearly super human. (but monsters and stuff can have higher.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Scorpiox Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I'd rather not take part in the D&D attribute ratings because I believe that it's impossible to nail a character down to a list of numbers effectively. Especially with intelligence, as I believe that the term is only subjective in the real world - and certainly so in a forum RPG. How can one give a mark out of 18 for something so relative as the power of the mind? For example, let's choose two not-so-random living famous humans; David Bowie (obviously) and Stephen Hawking. They're both extremely intelligent people in their own separate divisions, that is indisputable. Now tell me, how would one possibly mark these two men's sheer brain power out of 18? Hawking is a scientific mastermind, and easily the brightest scientist in the world today (to my knowledge). Bowie in the 70s (lost it a bit during the 80s and 90s, but that can be forgiven) displayed an outstanding creative mind and perceptive understanding of how the world functions as he demonstrated in many songs. Great philosophy in quite a few, also. Stephen wouldn't stand a chance on the Earth of matching David's songwriting ability, in the same way that ol' Ziggy would embarrass himself trying to explain black hole physics, as the Prof. manages every day despite being paralysed wholely besides a small part of his cheek (seriously, how the hell does he give lectures whilst only being able to move his cheek?!). Anyone who claims that they could compare the minds of these men is deluding themself, quite frankly. Sorry! Speech over, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Next up: Define strength, Arnold Swarzengger vs Martin Luther King. Quote

Welcome Lord Duvors. As far as uploading pictures, I know our members use photo sharing sites from Brickshelf, to Flickr, to Photobucket, and a whole lot of other things inbetween. Is there a specific question you had concerning uploading pictures? Quote
